I went to the blood bank to donate some blood to save some lives. I was donating absentee, so I answered honestly, even the sexual partners question, which was an absolute zero. I have never been kissed romantically, let alone had sex. The medical intern leaves, then the biochemist enters with a suspicious look on his face, “You really haven't had any sexual partners?” I replied, “No, I have not been kissed, let alone had sex!” After the question, the process went smoothly, then donated blood as I normally do. It was just a little hard to find the vein with deep, thin veins. After a little struggle, the biochemist was successful in getting blood from my vein quite quickly, a high volume in fact and very good quality as it flowed out.

Few days later on a Friday, at a 36 hour hospital shift during my rotation in Hospitalization 2nd floor, my lead asked me to go to the blood bank because they weren’t responding for some reason on the phone “Alice, can you go to the blood bank to confirm if the erythrocyte package on reserve for the patient Leo Reyes Gonzales is ready for neurosurgery at 10 am?” I replied to her, “Yes, certainly! I would happily go!” Carefully raced off to the blood bank to check about the package on reserve for the patient Leo Reyes Gonzales. While at the blood bank, I saw Dr. Alexander Clemente with a look that he already knew what I was about to say as I was hurrying up the narrow white corridor to the donation area, as he replied with the following: “Alice, you are here about the erythrocytes package on reserve for the patient Leo Reyes Gonzales is almost ready. It’s still in the hot water bath, but should be ready in 20 minutes.” I replied, “Perfect. Thanks!” He laughed, then replied, “You don’t need to thank me. That’s part of my job.” I replied, “I know, but I like showing my appreciation.” He replied as he moved his head from side to side slowly while giving a small smile, “Go on now before I change my mind! And blame you for all the wrongs that happen in this hospital, like I do with Jalo.” I replied while laughing as I left, “Ok, see you later.” Carefully made backup to hospitalization, and my lead asked hopefully, “Any updates on the reserve?” I replied with good news as I gave a thumbs up as a confirmation, “Package is getting ready as we speak, it should be ready in 20 minutes!” She replied, “Perfect! Thank you, Alice.” I replied, “You’re welcome. Happy to help.” Later that day, while waiting for the Uber to arrive to go home after a 36-hour hospital shift, which was 14 minutes away from me,  I decided to visit my friends in the laboratory and in the blood bank. As I arrived at the blood bank, to Randy, Dio, Ruiz and Alexander, I said the following: “Hi everyone! Just here to say and waste time!” Randy replied with the following: “Hi Alice, good to see you again!” Biochemist Jamie laughed while saying the following: “Hi Alice! You are wasting time and causing trouble like Dr. Vanos does?!” Dio and Ruiz laughed. I replied as I laughed as well, “Yes, but also just wanted to see you and you guys in the blood bank!” He just smiled. I asked them, “Have you heard about the party next Saturday? Are you guys going?” They replied, “Yes, we heard and even donated. All of us are going. Are you?” I replied joyously, “I’m totally going and also donated.”

Wednesday, before getting dinner, I talked to my hippie torat guy named Jack. He's usually in a pancho, has scabby hair, is about 45 years old and is about 6 feet 5 inches in height. Spoke to Jack, “Hi, how are you?" He responded in a joyful tone, “Hello, beautiful! I'm well. How are you, and how may I help?” Replied “I'm well. Thanks. Yes, you can help me with something.” He replied, “What can I help with, my beautiful doctor?" Replied “I would like to know two things: One, will I be the doctor the world needs and be a Nobel Prize Winner? Two, will I ever find true love?” He replied joyfully, “Certainly beautiful. You deserve love. It would help you in the long run. Touch the cards, please.” Touched the cards for a few moments, then he spoke, “For your first question, yes, definitely, you will become the doctor the world needs and a Nobel Prize Winner. For your second question, you have already met your true love. Your true love has been watching and waiting for you for a long time. He is a tall man about my height, he has skin color a bit darker than mine and wears glasses. Lastly, he will make his move in three days.”

Before entering McDonald's near Zona Rosa, close to Metro Insurgentes in Mexico City on Thursday afternoon, I noticed a challenge channel posting for an online show and won 100 pesos as a result. The challenge was to grab a Mexican 1 peso coin from four boxes filled with insects. The first box had a tarantula, the second box had two massive cockroaches, the third box had two grasshoppers, and lastly, the final box had hundreds of hyperactive crickets like they were on four bottles of Redbull. The YouTubers that were administering the challenge were impressed and terrified by how calm and focused I was, chanting “Stay asleep! Stay asleep! You are precious that way. Don't wake up because I don't want to hurt you! Just want the coin, then I’m out.” While I was doing the challenge, they even had to force scare me to break my focus, which temporarily worked because they needed terror for their show. The only box I was gradually uncomfortable with was the second box. As a result, they decided to give me the prize after four boxes.

While waiting for my food, which became a free meal, at one of the tables, I got a text from Randy, Lienana, and Dr. Alexander asking me, “Where are you? What are you doing? So we can meet up!” I texted back, “I'm totally down with meeting up! I’m at McDonald's in Zona Rosa near my apartment. Just waiting for my order!” After 20 minutes, my friends arrived and sat next to me at a table. Normally, I just go home with my food due to living close to Zona Rosa as they ordered. They replied, “Are you looking forward to the party?!” I replied, “Yes, it’s going to be fun.”

Saturday morning, I woke up in a room and in a bed that was not my own and remembering barely anything of the night before. I was mostly naked with only my underwear and a bracelet under the comfy white sheets. I started to realize that I had sex for the first time with an unknown stranger, so I started getting really scared about the risks, such as an unplanned pregnancy or even worse, a sexually transmitted disease. In my dazed state and without my glasses on, I turned over to see who the owner of this bedroom then saw it was my friend and not-so-secret crush, Dr. Alexander. He said with sweet and loving eyes as if he was talking to a lover, not just his best friend, “Hello Alice, my beautiful wife. You have finally awakened.” Shocked and jumped out of bed while grabbing my clothes to cover my partially naked body in embarrassment at what had happened. “What did you just say!?” Alexander answered while he waved his left hand, revealing a simple yellow gold wedding ring with a cross on the band. “Yes, you are my wife. You have been my wife since last night. I am your husband. What do you remember?” Replied and noticed a wedding ring on my left hand and looked exactly like Jaime's ring “What I do you remember about the a party last night, all 7 of us ordered drinks, which, Lienana had ordered a screwdriver, Dio had a whiskey, Ruiz had a vodka, Dr Vanos had tequila, Jalo had Negroni, Randy had ordered Rum and Coke and lastly, you and I had ordered beers. I saved a guy having a heart attack in the bar. After I saved the guy, the bar gave all of us a shot of tequila as a thank you because he was a worker there, then went to the bathroom. Lastly, I drank one sip of my beer, then I don’t recall anything after that.” Alexander replied in a seductive and lustful tone of voice, “Good memory, but there was a lot more that happened afterwards, and the guy you saved was indeed an employee of the bar. I can show you what happened last night. On one condition, you must get back into bed with me close enough that I can put one of my arms around you, my beautiful wife.” Started to hesitate for a moment, but wanted to know what had happened last night, so I jumped back into bed with him. I got close enough to feel the warmth of his chest, and his heart was racing as I led on his axillary region. He did as he promised. First, he rolled over and grabbed both of our glasses, then his cellphone. He starts the video, but before he does that, he puts his arm so gently, but passionately around me as if he were saying, “Alice, you are mine. I will not let anyone have you. If somebody tries, I will cut their head off. I love you, Alice!”
