Is This Love?

strangers to the enemies to extreme enemies to lovers and finally chaotic married couples ❤️❤️
Hope you all will like it
Autumn sunlight slants through the wide windows of Busan High’s senior classroom. The smell of chalk dust mixes with cold air from outside. Students chatter, scrape chairs, and laugh, filling the room with the familiar chaos of a new semester.
Taehyung sits by the window, chin resting on his palm. His hair catches the sunlight — warm brown, a little messy. He’s half-listening to his best friend Jimin, half-lost in thought, sketching random doodles in the margins of his notebook
Park Jimin
“You’re not even pretending to listen, are you?”
Kim Taehyung
(absently) “I am. You said something about… a cat?”
Park Jimin
“I said we’re getting a new transfer student. Not a cat. Though, honestly, you probably pay more attention to cats than people.”
Kim Taehyung
(smirks) “People are overrated. Cats don’t gossip.”
(The classroom suddenly quiets. The teacher walks in — followed by a tall boy with dark hair and an unreadable face.)
Teacher
“Class, this is Jeon Jungkook. He just transferred from Seoul. Treat him well.”
(Jungkook bows politely. His eyes are sharp, quiet, but there’s a flicker of something — distance, maybe a kind of defiance.)
Park Jimin
(whispering to Taehyung): “Whoa. He looks like trouble.”
Kim Taehyung
“He looks like he wants everyone to stay ten meters away.”
Park Jimin
“That makes him your type then.”😏
(The teacher scans the room.)
Teacher
“Let’s see... there’s an empty seat by the window. Jungkook, you can sit next to Taehyung.”
(Jungkook nods once, walks over, and sits beside him. The chair screeches a little. Neither boy speaks. The air feels heavier.)
Taehyung feels Jungkook’s presence — quiet but intense. He keeps sketching, pretending not to care, but his pencil presses too hard against the paper.
Jeon jungkook
(suddenly) “You’re crushing the lead.”
Kim Taehyung
(startled) “Huh?”
Jeon jungkook
“You’re pressing too hard. You’ll tear the page.”
Kim Taehyung
(defensive) “Didn’t ask for art advice.”🙃
Jeon jungkook
💁(shrugs) “Didn’t give any. Just saying.”
(A faint smirk tugs at Jungkook’s mouth. Taehyung glares. The tension between them thickens, sharp and unspoken.)
The cafeteria buzzes with noise. Taehyung sits with Jimin, trying not to look toward the corner table where Jungkook sits alone, earphones in, staring at his phone.
Park Jimin
“You’re staring.”😏
Kim Taehyung
“I just think it’s weird. He hasn’t said a word to anyone.”
Park Jimin
“Maybe he’s shy.”
Kim Taehyung
“Or maybe he thinks he’s too good for us.”🙄
(He doesn’t know why he feels annoyed. Maybe it’s the way Jungkook seems so distant, like he’s in another world.)
Park Jimin
“You’re overthinking. You always overthink.”🙄
Kim Taehyung
“And you always eat my fries.”😤
(Jimin grins with a fry in his mouth. The tension dissolves — until a commotion starts near the back.)

A group of boys from the sports team — loud, smug, bored — corner Jungkook. They’re trying to make him talk, throwing jokes, testing him.
random boy
“Hey, transfer kid. You think you’re too cool to talk to us?”
random boy
“What, too busy staring at your reflection?”
(Jungkook doesn’t answer. He keeps his earphones in.)
random boy
“What, deaf now? You think you can ignore us?”
(He snatches Jungkook’s phone and waves it. Jungkook’s eyes flick up — calm, but dangerous.)
Jeon jungkook
“Put it down.”
random boy
(mocking) “What if I don’t?”
(Before anyone can blink, Jungkook stands, grabs the boy’s wrist, and twists it — not too hard, but enough to make him drop the phone. The cafeteria gasps. Silence.)
Jeon jungkook
“I said, put it down.”
(He picks up his phone and walks out, the room still frozen.)
Later, Taehyung finds himself alone on the rooftop. The sky is pale orange. He doesn’t know why he came here — maybe to breathe.
He hears footsteps. Jungkook.
Jeon jungkook
“You’re everywhere, huh?”
Kim Taehyung
“This is my spot.”💁
Jeon jungkook
“Didn’t see your name on the door.”🙄
Kim Taehyung
“You’re kind of a jerk, you know that?”😒
Jeon jungkook
“I’ve been told.”🤷
(They stand in silence, the wind brushing past. Jungkook leans against the railing, looking out at the city below.)
Kim Taehyung
“You didn’t have to grab him like that.”
Jeon jungkook
“He touched what wasn’t his.”
Kim Taehyung
“Still— you made a scene.”😑
Jeon jungkook
“Good. Maybe they’ll think twice before doing it again.” 💁
(There’s something raw in his voice — anger, yes, but also something broken beneath it. Taehyung sees it for a moment before Jungkook looks away.)
Kim Taehyung
“You’re complicated.”
Jeon jungkook
“You’re nosy.”
Kim Taehyung
“Guess we’re even.”
(They share a tense, half-amused glance. For a fleeting second, the distance between them doesn’t feel so far — but then Jungkook leaves without another word.)
Back in class, Taehyung watches Jungkook from the corner of his eye. The boy sits quietly, head down, but his hand — the one that had grabbed the bully — trembles slightly
And for reasons he can’t explain, Taehyung feels something tighten in his chest.
It’s not friendship. Not yet.
It’s not hate either.
It’s something in between — sharp, uncertain, and inevitable.

The last class drags on. Taehyung keeps catching himself glancing at Jungkook.
The boy’s posture is straight, his notes meticulous. But when he stretches his fingers, Taehyung sees it — the slight tremor in Jungkook’s hand.
He doesn’t know if it’s from anger, fear, or something else.
He just knows it’s real.
Later, walking home with Jimin, the city lights blur around them.
Park Jimin
“So. The new kid’s intense.”
Park Jimin
“You gonna stay away?”
Kim Taehyung
“...Not sure.”
Park Jimin
“You always pick the weirdest people to get curious about.”😮💨
Kim Taehyung
“Maybe curiosity’s a curse.”💁
(Jimin laughs. Taehyung smiles faintly, but his mind lingers on the boy by the window — the one who doesn’t talk much, but whose silence says too much.)
That night, Taehyung dreams of cracked glass, wind, and a pair of dark eyes staring back through the reflection.
When he wakes, he doesn’t remember the dream — only the feeling that something has begun.
Something he won’t be able to stop.
The Morning After
Busan High looks the same as always — same echoing hallways, same smell of disinfectant and chalk — but the atmosphere is different.
Rumors travel faster than light here.
By the time Taehyung walks through the front gate, whispers already chase him like cold wind.
🗣️“Heard Jungkook almost broke a guy’s wrist.”
“They said he used to fight in Seoul.”
“My cousin’s friend said he was expelled.”
“I heard he’s on probation.”
Taehyung sighs, adjusting his backpack. The sound of gossip feels heavier than the bag on his shoulder.
At his locker, Jimin appears — bright as ever, sipping strawberry milk.
Park Jimin
“Morning, rumor magnet.”👋
Kim Taehyung
“You mean rumor factory.”
Park Jimin
“Same difference. Anyway, your new deskmate is famous now. Congratulations, you sit next to Busan’s most dangerous man.”
Kim Taehyung
“Please don’t call him that.”
Park Jimin
“Why? You defending him already?”😏
Kim Taehyung
“I’m just saying... people exaggerate.”😮💨
Park Jimin
“That’s what we do best.”😎
(He grins, but Taehyung’s not smiling. Something about yesterday — that quiet anger in Jungkook’s eyes — doesn’t fit the “violent bad boy” story.)
When Taehyung enters class, the whispers follow him.
Everyone looks at Jungkook. He sits by the window, earphones in, staring outside as if the world beyond the glass is more interesting than the one inside.
No one dares to talk to him. Even the teacher’s tone is stiff.
Teacher
“Jeon Jungkook, a word after class.”
(Jungkook nods without lifting his gaze. Taehyung glances at him — something about that quiet obedience looks… too calm. Like he’s used to it.)
Class begins, but Taehyung can’t focus. He watches Jungkook’s profile — the slight tension in his jaw, the stillness of someone used to pretending not to care.
When the bell rings, Jungkook stays behind.
Taehyung hesitates at the door, curiosity burning.
