Personality: Calm, sharp, and quietly determined. Prefers silence and observation over chatter.
Goal: To uncover the truth about her mother’s disappearance, a former student and researcher at the academy.
Power/Secret: Psychic sensitivity — she can feel lingering emotions or “echoes” from the past through places or objects.
Backstory: Her mother was involved in a classified project within Erevale before mysteriously vanishing.
Note: Lyra’s arrival at the academy is no coincidence — someone made sure she got in.
Riven Ashford (Male Lead — “The Enigma”)
Gender: Male
Personality: Cold, calm, and calculating. Rarely speaks about himself but always observes others.
Connection to Lyra’s Mother: His family was tied to the same secret research division Lyra’s mother worked in. He knows more than he reveals.
Power/Secret: Manipulation of shadows — can conceal movement or cloak people in darkness.
Note: Constantly torn between his family’s dark secrets and his growing feelings for Lyra.

Personality: Gentle, logical, and protective, though burdened by guilt from a failed experiment.

Rain lashes against the cobblestone as a black car stops before the towering gates of Erevale Academy
Driver: We’ve arrived, Miss Vale

(dryly) Charming place. Looks like it eats transfer students for breakfast.
The gates groan open with a low screech. A uniformed guard steps forward, face half-hidden by shadows
Guard: Room 3C, West Wing. Curfew’s at nine. Don’t go near the old corridors

Guard: …Welcome to Erevale.
The gate slams shut behind her. The sound echoes like a warning
Inside the main hall — students whisper, eyes tracking Lyra as she passes.
Student 1 (whispering): That’s the new girl. Transferred midterm?
Student 2: Heard she’s from the Vale family.
Student 3: You mean that Vale family? The one that—
They fall silent as Lyra glances their way

During orientation, the Headmaster’s voice drones through the hall, but Lyra’s attention drifts to the whispering walls around her.

After orientation, Lyra wanders into a dim corridor lined with portraits.
One painting’s eyes seem to follow her. A presence lurks.

She places her bag down and notices faint carvings under the desk.
She kneels, brushing dust aside. The words cut deep into the wood:
“Project Halcyon — Never trust the Headmaster.”

The lights flicker violently. A whisper floats through the air again.
Welcome back, Nyra’s daughter.
Lyra freezes, heart pounding.
