My Ceo Husband

The beginning 1

The house was brimming with celebration. Laughter echoed through the hallways, guests buzzing with joy-and a sprinkle of envy. After all, the most sought-after bachelor of the business world was officially off the market. He was none other than Mr. Siddharth Roy-the enigmatic CEO of Roy Industries, a legacy business passed down through generations. Under his sharp leadership, the company had reached unprecedented heights, earning him the prestigious "Businessman of the Year" award five years in a row. But tonight wasn't about boardrooms and deals. Tonight was about his wedding.
Siddharth's mother, Mira, scanned the crowd with a mix of joy and exasperation.

"Siddharth!" she called, her voice sharp. "What is this behavior? Why are the bride and groom not together? Where is Nandini?!"
Siddharth stiffened at her tone and quickly looked around the hall. ((Not that he had a collection of wives hidden somewhere))
His gaze landed on a quiet corner, where Nandini sat nervously, wide-eyed and visibly overwhelmed-like a timid deer in a lion's den. He walked toward her, observing her anxious posture, the way she flinched at loud laughter or curious stares. When Nandini noticed him approaching, her lips curved into a small, shy smile. Siddharth's features softened for the briefest moment before he caught himself and returned to his usual stoic mask.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, his tone cool.

"Ah... I was just sitting," she stammered, unsettled by his detached voice.
Siddharth

"Come on. Amma is looking for you."
Together, they walked toward Mira, who had tears glistening in her eyes as she took in the sight of her son and his new bride side by side.

"Come here, both of you," she said emotionally. "Finish the family rituals and then go upstairs to rest."
Siddharth's friends, ever the pranksters, started teasing them, causing Nandini to blush and lower her gaze.

"Enough, you monkeys!" Mira scolded, though the smile on her face betrayed her amusement.
Ashok

"But Mamma, just this once!" Ashok, Siddharth's childhood friend, pleaded. "We never thought Sid would be the settling-down kind!"

"Later, Ashok! First, let them finish the rituals," Mira said, handing Nandini a decorated pooja plate and giving Siddharth a small ceremonial bell

Siddharth's Pov

Siddharth's POV The room was finally quiet. Blessed silence after hours of rituals, photo sessions, relatives talking non-stop, and friends behaving like they were in a wedding-themed comedy show. I stepped out of the bathroom, toweling my hair, and paused at the sight in front of me. There she was my wife-sitting on the edge of the bed, struggling with her earrings like they were part of a military-grade trap. Her bangles jingled every time she moved, and her dupatta looked like it had been in a fight with gravity and lost. I cleared my throat. She looked up like I just caught her stealing the moon. Eyes wide, cheeks instantly pink. "Hii," she said, drawing out the 'i' like she wasn't sure if it was too early in the marriage to speak.

Hii

"Need help?" I asked, nodding toward the earrings.
Nandini ~
Nandini ~
"I'm good! Totally manageable! I do this all the time. Every day. Earrings are like... my best friends," she said in one breath, and immediately looked like she regretted all of it.
Siddharth
Siddharth
okay ( i blinked)
She fumbled a bit more, managed to yank the last earring out (ouch?), then stood up and clasped her hands like we were in a job interview.

"So..." she said, avoiding eye contact like I had laser beams in my pupils.
I sat on the couch and leaned back, watching her from the corner of my eye. She was pacing slowly now, talking to herself in whispers. Something about how the bed was too neat and how she forgot to smile back at my cousin's sister's niece's friend's grandmother-whoever that was. Honestly, she was... interesting. Soft-spoken. Clumsy. Weirdly expressive. And clearly not used to this world. But something about her awkward charm was... kind of endearing. She suddenly stopped pacing and turned to me like she remembered something really important.

"Do you-uh-want water?" she asked.
Siddharth
Siddharth
"I'm good."
She nodded. Twice. Maybe three times. Then grabbed a glass of water and drank it herself like she was the one who offered it.
Nandini ~
Nandini ~
Okay
Silence settled between us again. This time, not so bad. She sat at the very edge of the bed, legs straight, hands in her lap, posture so stiff she could be mistaken for a student waiting for roll call

"Relax," I said.

She looked at me, startled. "I am relaxed," she squeaked. Sure.

New beginning

NANDINI'S POV
Nandini ~
Nandini ~
I woke up in a strange bed. For a split second, I forgot where I was. Then I blinked at the massive ceiling, noticed the expensive curtains, the silence... and remembered. Oh right. I'm married. And this isn't a dream. I, Nandini Siddharth Roy, have officially survived one night of sharing a room with the nation's most intimidating businessman-who, by the way, sleeps like a Greek sculpture. No, seriously. He didn't snore, didn't move, just... lay there. Peacefully. Like some peaceful mafia boss.
Nandini ~
Nandini ~
Only i know , how i spent this night
Nandini ~
Nandini ~
Meanwhile, I spent the night doing the following: Counting the ceiling panels. (63) Practicing my future 'good morning' in my head. And panicking quietly every time he turned in his sleep.

In case you're wondering, nothing happened. No scandalous stories here. The man kept to his side of the bed like there was an invisible "do not cross" line between us. (Respect ++)

I slowly sat up, careful not to wake him. But of course, the universe hates me.
Nandini ~

Because my payal decided now was the perfect time to do a loud jingle concert. Siddharth stirred.

I froze. His eyes opened slowly, and let me tell you-he wakes up like he's already planning to buy three companies before breakfast. Calm. Cold. Focused. And mildly confused when he spotted me sitting like a statue at the edge of the bed.
Nandini ~

"Good morning," I said, my voice two octaves higher than usual. Sounded more like a cartoon squirrel. He blinked. "Morning." That was it.

Then he stood up, grabbed his towel, and walked into the bathroom without another word. ...Okay then. Progress? I stared at the closed bathroom door, debating if I should just lie back and pretend to still be asleep. But Mira Amma would probably come searching for us with her detective-level morning energy.

So I got up, picked out a simple saree from the massive closet (I had a mini panic attack because nothing looked like me), then awkwardly shuffled around until I heard the bathroom door click open. And there he was. Hair damp. Shirt half-buttoned. Looking like every dramatic hero ever.
Nandini ~

He glanced at me. "You can use the bathroom." "Thank you," I whispered like he just handed me a kingdom.

Once inside, I exhaled dramatically into the mirror. "Okay, Nandini. You didn't trip. You didn't say anything too embarrassing. And you're still married. One day survived." I gave myself a thumbs-up in the mirror.
