Hanahaki Disease (花吐き病 (Japanese); 하나하키병 (Korean); 花吐病 (Chinese)) is a disease in which the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided-love. It ends when the beloved returns their feelings (romantic love only; strong friendship is not enough), or when the victim dies. It can be cured through surgical removal, but when the infection is removed, the victim's romantic feelings for their love also disappear.

As Wen Ning read that, he gave in to another cough. He stared at his now blood covered hands, sighing in despair. How could he love a man who doesn't even love him?

Shaking his head, he washed his hands, dry it, and went out of the bathroom to the hallway of the mansion, while giving off a fake radiant smile.

The maids and butlers failed to see through it.

Wen Ning sighed as he stared at his supposed to be husband's study. Oh how he regret falling oh so deeply in love at such man.

He first thought that, that man will love him, but how he was wrong, he poured all of his love on that man, giving him; his heart, body, and soul. But the return was the look of hatred. He knows that it was wrong to force someone into marriage, that time, even though he loved the man to the very core, he never stalked him nor look up anything related to him. He was confident that with his status, that man will love him, at least, give him those fake loving stares that everyone gave him, it was fine, however, the opposite came.

The man was cheating on him.

He first thought that, that even if the man didn't love him, at least he wouldn't cheat on him. But he was wrong, two months in marriage, when came back from the company, he saw a woman being intimate with the man, he asked him who that woman was, but was glared, he immediately know who the woman was.

His real lover.

That thought made him rampage the whole night, throwing stuff at his so called husband; He grew even angrier when he learned that, that woman never loved his husband, that woman just wanted profit and wealth. He told his husband, yet he didn't believed in him.

But he still love the man, and he hated it, he hated how loyal he can be, he hated how he can't love someone else.

And now he caught the hanaki disease. In fact he's happy to get such disease, this way, he can get surgery and then divorce that ungrateful man, call him selfish, but towards his love ones, he will forever spoil them.

Wen Ning took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

"Come in." A muffled deep voice called from the room.

Wen Ning slowly opened the door and went inside the study room.

"I want divorce." He said with full confidence.

"Oh?"

"If you love someone, you should let them go," Wen Ning's hand clenched into fist, "And you know how much I love you, I... I'll let you go, you can be with the person you love... but I'll no longer be there... I'll stay out of the way, and my heart will never beat for you again..."

Jiang Cheng– other known as Wen Ning's arrange husband– raised a brow, he noticed that there's more to the sentence 'My heart will never beat for you again,' but he could care less, all he cared for that, that bastard will finally have divorce with him.

"I already brought the files for divorce, and already hired a high rank lawyer, so... it probably won't take long before we'll be separated... completely..."

Wen Ning felt tears threatening to fall, however, he again took a deep breath and smiled as he handed the papers for divorce to his soon to be ex-husband. "I already signed it, so you can sign your name to it."

Jiang Cheng immediately signed his name to the paper without even hesitating.

"It'll take time to process, but it won't take that long..."

With that, Wen Ning grabbed the papers and left the room.

With his head down and tears streaming down his face, he quietly sobbed as ran towards his room, falling to his bed crying and falling asleep quickly, he even forgot about changing into his pajamas.

The next day came quickly, and now Wen Ning is standing in front of the hanaki surgerical hospital. He clutch on to the hem of his T-shirt as he bit his lips, he walked inside and prepared himself for the surgery.

He'll never love that man ever again, it'll just bring him pain.

The surgery passed slowly, however, Wen Ning was made to sleep so inside his mind it only lasted for a minute. When he went out he was shocked to see that it was already night time. He went to his car, and as he drive his way to 'home' he called his papa and dad.

In this world same gender marriage are common as some men called 'ger' can give birth, he's one of them, a ger.

One can identify a ger by their slightly but more likely feminine appearance, They also have a mark on their forehead or hand. If the mark is red then the ger's fertility is high, if it's slightly red then they have the fertility the same as a woman and if they have pink, it'll be hard to bare a baby, however, if the mark is black, then the ger maybe either poisoned or can not bare a baby.

Wen Ning's fertility is high, so even when on their wedding night, his husband never touched him, never made love with him.

However now, he couldn't even feel anything for the man.

"Pa... I'm divorcing the man surnamed Jiang..." Wen Ning blankly said, "And I went to get surgery..."

"That's good, I don't want my precious baby to get hurt... don't worry you'll find your one true love someday." Wen Ning's papa said lovingly. He knows about his baby's hanaki disease and has been suggesting him to get surgery, however, just like his daddy, his baby is just stubborn, luckily his eldest isn't like that. Now that he knows that his son has finally took surgery and divorce that unruly man, he can now only wait for the future bastards that will come in his son's way.

They talked for a couple of minutes before Wen Ning said his love and goodbyes and ended the call.

Wen Ning parked his car and went inside his temporary home. Yes, he'll be leaving tomorrow and go to italy for a vacation and maybe get rid of his forever loyalty, this way he won't be blinded, it may be a great change, but that doesn't mean he won't be able to actually change, then he can come back for the time of their legal divorce.

He nodded his head at his plan and went inside the mansion, there he saw the woman, her hands wrapped around his soon to be ex-husband's arm, with a victorious smirk on her face, However, does he look like he care? No he does not, maybe before, but not now and never will he.

He looked at the two 'couple,' and left, he'll leave them for themselves, it's not like they can live without him and his family's power, In fact he knows that Jiang Cheng's company is nothing but a shell, a cover up for his real business which is the mafia, transferring illegal gun power, the government would have found out if it wasn't him going low as to beg for his parents to not tell.

And now he regrets everything.

When Wen Ning left, Jiang Cheng raised a brow before smilling at his beloved.

The next day came fast as usual, however, this time, Wen Ning just finished putting his clothes inside his bag, today he's going to enjoy youth instead of ogling on to a man who will never love him, today he's going to change!!

With a new found of determination, he quickly pack all pf his needed stuff and left his room. It was already late in the afternoon and his flight is in 3:00 P.M but now that he checked his watch he notice that it was already 2:30 he needs to go and reach the airport immediately. Yes if he wants to change he better start by using the public plane. However before he could even reach the door to the exit, he heard loud crashing and yelling.

"HOW DARE YOU CHEAT ON ME!!"

ah, he knows that voice, it belong to his ex-husband.

"Ha! do you really think this young miss will love you?! what kind of person will love you!? a devil behind a mask!" A womans voice yelled back, "With this evidence! I would be the best undercover cop!" The woman yelled ambitiously.

Wen Ning shooked his head; that woman is really dumb, actually getting caught red handed. Well whatever, this isn't his problem, at least not anymore.

"Ah!"

Wen Ning heard a yelp, when he turned around he saw Jiang Cheng pulling the woman's hair, dragging her to the exit. As the woman screams in pain, Wen Ning stared at the sidelines while enjoying the show, he revealed a amused look as he saw Jiang Cheng call out his close and loyal butler– Hykamaru: a Japanese boy.

"Get rid of any evidence." Jiang Cheng demanded.

"Yes." Hykamaru said monotonously, he have been serving this man for twelve years already, he already know how smart yet idiotic this man is. Hykamaru was the only one in the Jiang house hold that knows about Wen Ning's Hanaki disease, and he also have advice that Wen Ning should give up on his master, it was truly his master's fault to have lose such person, a person whom will protect you and love you for eternity. Hykamaru turned around and left, but not before giving Wen Ning a side glance. This glance made Wen Ning slightly blush.

Jiang Cheng notice this and thought it was directed to him, He thought that Wen Ning was blushing at the sight of him, and he somehow felt proud, however, he saw his wife... Ex-wife's big bags and asked, "Where are you going?"

"Does it matter where I go?" Wen Ning asked with a bored voice. The fun is over so why should he stay?

Jiang Cheng couldn't refute to that, in the next few weeks the two of them will be forever separated. Just thinking about them getting separated makes Jiang Cheng feel unease, he always felt this way whenever Wen Ning leave somewhere and he doesn't know why.

"Well I need to go now, I'm gonna be late for my flight, see ya." Wen Ning casually wave his hand as he walked away.

Wen Ning arrived at the airport, he was 10 minutes early so he went to a Cafe and drank some Lattè and ate some cookies. As he pleasantly listen to the classic music while he also read a book.

"May I sit here?" A calm voice asked.

Wen Ning looked up only to be greeted by a handsome elegant man.

"N-no, it's fine..." Wen Ning said as he slowly nodded his head. Even though he wanted to travel to change, the fact that he's a ger, doesn't and will never change. So meeting such handsome man made his heart go bathump-Bathump.

No stop it! if you fell in love, you'll get the hanahaki disease again!!

With that in thought, Wen Ning immediately finished his Lattè and cookies, closed his book and left the cafe.

"He left master."

That Elegant man was Hykamaru.

The reason why Wen Ning didn't notice it was him was because instead of an elegant aura, Hykamaru usually uses a homey and professional one, and adding for the fact that he usually put surgical mask on his face, Wen Ning never get to see him without the mask.

"Follow him, make sure that no one can have him."

"Yes."

That was the plan, However, who knew it could change.

"phew..."

Wen Ning sighed happily as he can finally sit on his respective sit. "What a coincidence, I guess it's fate to meet you."

Wen Ning's eyes widen as he heard a familiar voice. He slowly turned his head to his side and saw a smilling god. "Ah... indeed..."

The elegant man sat next to Wen Ning, still smiling he asked nicely, "What's your name?"

Wen Ning stared at the suspiciously at first, hesitating before answering, "Wen Ning..." He said quietly, almost like a whisper.

"Mine is Bei weng," The elegant man introduced himself also, making Wen Ning go flustered.

This isn't what he want, he wants to change.

As they sat together they talked about random thing with Bei Weng leading, however, everything was related to love, Bei Weng asking questions like: "Will you forgive someone who cheated on you?"

Then Wen Ning would seriously reply, "once a cheater, always a cheater."

Then Bei Weng would ask: "Will you be willing to love someone who used to hate you but love you now?"

Then Wen Ning yet again reply with a serious voice, "As long as my heart loves him also, then I may consider."

And Etc..

"Hey why are you asking me this? did you encounter such things?"

"I'm a love therapist." Bei Weng said passionately.

Wen Ning's heart beated again. No... this can't be happening.

"I uhm... I need to go..." Wen Ning stood up and left to go to the Bathroom, splashing his face with water as he sigh. It's happening again... I don't want this... please don't make it happen.

In this world, love can happen anywhere. And the Hanahaki Disease happened.

People say that the Goddess of love was angered by someone from the past and cursed the next generation to the next to have the disease once they're love doesn't love them back, the favourite flower of that person will sprout on their body until they are cover of that flower, then die. Cruel, but that's the truth. However, the Goddess also gave them a gift, a gift of True love. A person who've come across the hanahaki disease and escape from it will see a shinning blue mark on the forehead of their one true pair.

And what he saw on that man's forehead– Bei Weng's forehead– a blue mark, a shinning one. He found his one true love, however, will that man accept him?

Wen Ning arrived at his sit only to see that his one true love is asleep. He smiled and sat down, he looked around for a moment before giving Bei Weng a small peck to the lips. "I found you my one true love." He said happily.

Then almost immediately, The man's eyes opened, staring at Wen Ning with a shocked face, Wen Ning Also wore a shocked looked.

"Y-you, You're awake!?"

"I..."

In fact he's always been awake.

"I... I'm sorry I just..." Wen Ning couldn't say it was an accident, because it wasn't.

"What do you mean I'm your one true love?" Hykamaru knows about the hanahaki, so he also knows about the 'true love' ability.

"I... I..."

"It doesn't matter... We'll just... get along with each other... get to know each other... right?"

With that said, Wen Ning's face lit up, "Ok!"

Hykamaru was a trained butler from japan, he first met and befriended Wen Ning when they were 12 years old, they were happy, but Hykamaru knows he wanted more than just be friends.

they got alone fine, in fact people were surprise that Wen Ning and Hykamaru didn't get married, they thought that those two will get married as they're inseparable, however as years past, The duo ment with a boy named Jiang Cheng.

This broke the Duo's contact, not entirely, but most of it.

Hykamaru couldn't contact Wen Ning because of his duty as a personal butler of Jiang Cheng and Wen Ning can't contact Hykamaru due to his ogling towards Jiang Cheng.

But now, Wen Ning was his partner all this time. It was a great shock.

It was also the same to the man behind the scene: Jiang Cheng.

He sended Hykamaru to shoo some unworthy men from his wife, but now, he just sended a lion. However, seeing Wen Ning's happy face again, although it hurts, he still let them be.

"Make sure to never hurt him as I did to him." Jiang Cheng warned through the small earring or other known as a caller.

Hykamaru was surprised even more at the peaceful agreement, and promised happily that he will take care of Wen Ning.

Hykamaru told Wen Ning about everything and surprisingly, he accepted it.

at first hw was surprise but he warmly accepted his best friend as his true love.

His family also agreed on this, and 5 years later they got married and got 4 kids to take care of. 1 fierce girl being the eldest and was named Lily, 2 males named luck and law, law being the second eldest and luck being the third, and then the fourth, a beautiful ger, who was named Hywen, the combination of both the two husband's names.

Hykamaru and Wen Ning after the marriage went to travel many places before settling in a small city and a small comfy house they now call their own, while raising their children with blood and sweat. However, even after all that they still love each other even when they now lie on their death bed.

"I love you..."

"I love you too, and I will always will."

As they close their eyes, their children who now have their family of their own cried. Wen Ning's parents died many years back, and his brother who took over the company, also wept in tears.

As for Jiang Cheng, he died many years due to the Hanahaki disease. And it turns out, that he, from the start, have always loved Wen Ning...
