Happy reading 🤓
Eva had been feeling tired for days.
Not just the usual work stress kind of tried, but a deep, draining exhaustion.
Her heart had been racing more than usual too, and anxiety followed her around like a shadow.
At first, she brushed it off–maybe she hadn't been eating right, or maybe she just needed to rest.
But today, as she sat alone in the bathroom stall at work, a thought hit her. A quiet, scary, exciting thought.
She stared down at the small test in her hand.
Then the result appeared. Two lines.
Eva blinked. Once. Twice. She looked again.
Eva Lovia (FL)
I'm pregnant? No way...
She whispered, staring at the test like it might change.
Eva Lovia (FL)
I'm pregnant?
She sat down, a hand over mouth, her mind racing and yet completely blank.
Ava lay on a hospital bed, her hands nervously gripping the sheet.
the doctor adjusted the monitor and smiled gently.
Rio Grande (Doctor)
You don't believe the test?
Eva Lovia (FL)
I believe it...but I needed to see it
I want to surprise the father. I want to take a photo...of the little life growing inside me.
Rio Grande (Doctor)
Husband or boyfriend?
She replied with a proud but nervous smile.
Eva Lovia (FL)
We're getting married soon. I haven't even met his family yet, but he keeps saying he wants me to.
Rio Grande (Doctor)
Well,then I guess it's two congratulations.
Rio Grande (Doctor)
Congratulations on your baby and your upcoming wedding.
Eva Lovia (FL)
I'm so excited. I can't wait to see his face when I tell him... he's going to be a father.
Moments later, the doctors turned the monitor towards her.
Rio Grande (Doctor)
Eva Lovia.
Rio Grande (Doctor)
There's your baby.
she looked at the screen.
There it was–tiny, blurry but so real.
Her breath caught in her throat. She reached for her belly, eyes full of tears.
Eva Lovia (FL)
Oh, that's Incredible.
Ultrasound photo tucked safely in her purse. Her heart was full, her lips curled in a constant smile.
She was already picturing how she'd tell him–maybe over dinner, or with a gift box, or–
She looked in the rearview mirror.
A dark car following her. The windows were dimmed. Too dim to see who was inside.
Her fingers tightened on the wheel.
Eva Lovia (FL)
who is that?
The car sped up, came closer. Then, without warning–bump.
it hit her car on the side.
Eva Lovia (FL)
Hey! What are you doing? Stop!
She yelled, panic rising in her voice.
She tried to steer away, but the car stayed on her, ramming into her again–harder.
Her heart pounded. she fought to keep control, her hands shaking on the wheel.
Then one final shove–off the road.

Episode # 2
The night was quiet. Inside Halil Sancho's mansion, the halls were dimly lit and silent–except for soft whispers of the housemaids.
Sydney Smith, Halil's longtime friend, stood in the doorway of a room she wasn't supposed to be enter.
One of the housemaids pleaded gently.
Sir Halil has forbidden anyone from going into this room.
Sydney ignored them. She pushed open the tall double doors and stepped inside.
Her heels clicked softly against the marble floor as she entered what could only be described as a private wardrobe suite– breathtaking and clearly designed with care.
Racks of elegant clothes, shelves of expensive shoes, delicate perfume bottles lined up in neat rows.
Everything here whispered of someone precious.
Sydney Austin
This is amazing.
She whispered to herself.
Sydney Austin
So this is all for the woman he would marry...
She touched one of the silk gowns.
Sydney Austin
Halil...you really are like a man straight out of a fiction book.
Halil had just returned home.
He looked up to the second floor where several housemaids had gathered near one of the rooms. That room.
The one he had forbidden anyone to enter.
He climbed the stairs quickly, footsteps heavy.
The housemaids saw him and froze, terror spreading across their faces.
Halil's voice cut through the silence like ice..
Halil Sancho (ML)
What the hell is going on here?
No one answered. Heads lowered. Feet shuffled. The group parted without a word as he stepped forward.
There stood Sydney, spinning slowly in front of the mirror with a soft smile on her face.
she turned when she saw him.
Sydney Austin
Is this all for me?
His expression didn't change.
The word was cold. Final.
He stepped forward grabbed her arm harshly and pulled her out of the room.
Halil Sancho (ML)
Downstairs. NOW.❄️
Sydney followed him confused and slightly shaken. He let go of her only when they reached the bottom of the stairs.
Then, he sharply, he called out.
Halil Sancho (ML)
Mother. Mother.
From the other side of the house, his mother appreared, smiling. Mrs Austin, Sydney's mother, followed close behind, both dressed in evening robes, clearly having just finished a quiet chat.
His mother's smile faded when she saw his face.
Kina Sancho (ML's mother)
what's the matter, honey?
Halil looked directly at Mrs. Austin.
Halil Sancho (ML)
Mrs. Austin.
Halil Sancho (ML)
I'd like you and your daughter to find somewhere else to stay. You can't stay here any longer.
Sydney Austin
What? Halil–
His mother stepped forward.
Kina Sancho (ML's mother)
Halil, wait... Sydney needs to be here. She needs to be here. She needs to learn the basics of being Mrs. Sancho–your wife.
Halil's voice was low but sharp.
Halil Sancho (ML)
Mother... I'm not marrying Sydney.
Sydney's mouth opened slightly, stunned. His mother blinked.
Kina Sancho (ML's mother)
But she's always been there for you. You've know her since–
Halil Sancho (ML)
I love her like a friend.
Halil Sancho (ML)
That's all.
Kina Sancho (ML's mother)
She's good to your niece. We don't even have a nanny, Halil–
Halil Sancho (ML)
Then hire one.
He turned to Sydney and her mother.
Halil Sancho (ML)
You are no longer staying under my roof. My house. My rules.
Sydney stepped forward, tried to reach for him.
Sydney Austin
Halil, please–
The call was firm and final. A few guards stepped into the room, tense but professional.
Sydney stared at him, wide-eyed. He never once looked back at her.

Episode # 3
Lizzy Capri (A shaman)
Eva!
Lizzy called out from the living room.
Lizzy Capri (A shaman)
Eva, are you done?
With a sigh, Lizzy walked down the short hallway and gently pushed open Eva's bedroom door.
Inside, Eva stood in front of the mirror, her hands resting gently around her round belly.
She turned around when she saw Lizzy, her hands still resting getting around her belly.
She gave Lizzy a big, bright smile.
Eva Lovia (FL)
I'm ready...mom.
Lizzy froze for a second. Her eyes flicked to the baby bump, the back to Eva's face.
She muttered under her breath.
Lizzy Capri (A shaman)
I'm still surprised that baby is still growing inside her after all that...
Eva Lovia (FL)
Is everything okay...Mom?
Lizzy didn't answer right away. Her mind was full of thoughts–memories, fear, questions she couldn't ask.
Lizzy Capri (A shaman)
She even calls me mom...
Lizzy muttered to herself.
Eva called again, stepping closer.
Lizzy blinked and quickly forced a smile.
Lizzy Capri (A shaman)
Yes, yes, Eva. Everything's fine. Let's go for the check up.
Lizzy sat alone in the hallway, just outside the check up room.
She folded her hands on her lap and kept her back straight, even though her heart was heavy.
People walked past her, whispering. Some didn't bother to hide their stares.
Person ¹
That's the shaman woman...
Person ²
She lives with her daughter, doesn't she?
Person³
Poor girl, I feel bad for the man that impregnated a daughter of a woman like her.
Person⁴
She's a witch, I heard. I wouldn't go near her.
Lizzy heard every word, though no one said it to her face.
Still, she kept her head high. Her face was calm, but her fingers clenched together tightly in her lap.
She didn't reply. She didn't look at them. But inside, their words stung.
Just then, the door opened, and Eva stepped out with a nurse.
She looked healthy. Her smile hadn't faded. The nurse said something soft to her and nodded before walking away.
Eva Lovia (FL)
All good, Mom. The baby's doing well.
Lizzy stood up and forced another smile, this time softer.
Lizzy Capri (A shaman)
That's good. Let's go home.
As they walked down the hallway together, people still watched. Still whispered
But Lizzy no longer cared.
All that mattered now was protecting the girl beside her–and the baby growing inside her.
