Footsteps echo-slow, steady. Tatsuo walks by, hands in his pockets, expression unreadable. His eyes flicks briefly towards them.

(snorts)

Bandit 1 lunges forward with a punch. Tatsuo sidesteps effortlessly, grabbing his arm mid-swing and twisting it behind his back.

He drives his elbow into the man's ribs - a clean, bone cracking thud. The man collapses.

(growls, pulls a knife out)

Tatsuo exhales softly. The air around him shimmers faintly - the faintest flicker of heat. He dodges the knife slash by inches, catches the man's wrist and slams his palm against his chest - a short burst of fiery energy ripples through the blow.
Bandit 2
(gasps, throw back)
What... What was that?!

(bored tone)
Just heartburn.
Bandit 3 roars and rushes in with a metal pipe. Tatsuo blocks with his forearm, the metal hissing slightly from the heat radiating off his skin. He twists, kicks the guy's legs out, then flips him face-first into the wall.

(dusting his hands)

You all done? Or do I have to start taking this seriously?
Bandit 1 groans, trying to rise. Tatsuo grabs the back of his collar and lightly bumps his head against a wall - just enough to knock him out cold.
Lady
(shaken)

Nah. They just pissed me off. You should head home before more of their kind shows up.
He turns to leave. A faint ember drifts from his palm before fading into the night air.

Tatsuo steps down from the ferry and took few steps further. He inhaled the air for some few seconds and opened his eyes.
Finally Muramori island, he's standing in front of the large torri gate ⛩️ that looked like it came out of a sci-fi comic book.
All he had heard about the island was true. They have surpass the rest of the world in tech development. with the pagodas🏯 standing tall with their roofs glowing with neon lights. The entire island was like a futuristic cyber city. Peaceful, soothing and comforting. The home of samurais.
TATSUO'S POV:
Muramori island, home of samurais and the birth place of the kami infusion. It's actually breathtaking. They say it was discovered by lost samurai; Tenzai Muramori. He found something deep in the core of the island, something strange but powerful, something that gave him the strength and ability to fight yōkais, one of the biggest issues in the world that is being surpressed by samurais. And now with the help of the Muramori clan improving the combat skills of samurais, killing yōkais aren't much of an issue. All they need is the kami infusion and well trained samurais to carry out their duty.
And that's why I'm here, to become a samurai. No, not because of your average MC reasons like revenge or any other obvious reasons. It's because I've always admired being a samurai some day, and I'm finally here to fulfill that childish dream of mine.
