During the early summer when evening falls, there will always be sudden torrential rains.

A sub man was half kneeling on the ground, looking at the person in front.
This man was only in his thirties but his face was like an old man. There was deep hostility between his brows, his eyes were as dead as stagnant water and they were seemingly unable to tear like a long dried well but were filled with a bottomless hatred.
“Your Ladyship, please.” The eunuch beside had a bolt of white silk in his hands and his tone could not hide his impatience, “Zajia still needs to report back to his Majesty on the completion.”

Jungkook slowly raised his head and looked at the man that was high up above. Time did not leave any imprint on his face as he was as handsome as he was in the beginning. He was the wise sovereign and justifiably Son of Heaven. He was the man that Jungkook had foolishly loved for twenty years and the husband that he helped in humble circumstances over the years. Now he said to her, “Zhen will grant you with an intact corpse. Thank this kindness.”

“Why the need to seize the entire Jeon family?” he asked
Prince Ding, Eunwoo was one of the nine sons of the Late Emperor. Each of the nine sons had their own merits but the Crown Prince was sickly and the Emperor was not willing to alter the title of the Crown Prince thus the Princes took the turmoil as an opportunity. Jungkook had long fell for Prince Ding’s peerless talent and regardless of Jungkook's family’s persuasion, he finally got what he wanted but also firmly tied the entire Jeon family to Prince Ding together.
Because of that, Jungkook dedicated himself to assist Prince Ding changing from a pampered sub son who did not know anything to a Prince Consort who can participate in court, to come out with plans and give advice and also stabilising the country. On the day when Eunwoo ascended the throne, he established Jungkook as the Empress, the mother to the world which was the grandest.
Jungkook thought that he was the grandest Empress. When the Princes rebellion was quelled, the Xiao Nu attacked putting the neighbouring countries at risk, in order to borrow troops, Jungkook voluntarily went to the Qin country as a hostage and when he left, his children were not even a full month .
Five years later, Jungkook finally could returned back to Ming Qi but there was an additional beautiful and talented Mei IU in the Inner Palace.
Mei IU was an official’s daughter that Eunwoo met during his expedition to the East. He liked her intelligence and sensibility and brought her back to the Palace. Mei IU gave birth to Prince Kai who was much favoured. In contrary, Jungkook’s son, the Crown Prince Soobin was not favoured at all.
Eunwoo once said in the presence of the entire court, “Soobin’s character is too soft, Kai is still the one who resembles me the most.” His words clearly indicated his intentions to change the title of the Crown Prince.
Mei IU made Jungkook felt a sense of crisis and thus in the Palace, Jungkook and Mei IU had fought for ten years. Mei IU repeatedly gotten the upper hand that she even urged Eunwoo to marry his daughter, Princess Wonyoung, to the Xiong Nu as marriage alliance. The Xiong Nu were very aggressive and Princess Wonyoung died from an illness on the way to the marriage and was immediately cremated. Everyone knew the matter was strange but as a mother, Jungkook had no alternatives.
At the end he walked to where he was today.
Eunwoo’s one decree of Jeon family revolted, the Crown Prince will be dispose and he had committed suicide to atone for his offences. Jungkook as an Empress would also be disposed and three Chi (1 chi = 1/3 meter) of white silk was bestowed.

He spit out a mouthful of fresh blood out.
“Older brother, what is this? It looks awful.” A sweet voice sounded.
The female wore a light yellow robe with a hibiscus sown in front and a willow waist like a fairy from Heavens. Her actions were also very graceful and moving as she approached.
This was Mei IU, who had the winning hand and fought with Jungkook in his entire life.
Behind Mei IU, there stood two females dressed in the palace’s robes.

“Of course the second and third household would be safe and sound.” Tzuyu covered her mouth as she laughed, “Because we have done a great service. The evidences of Eldest Uncle’s rebellion were presented by our household as to place righteousness before family. Fifth Younger brother, His Majesty bestowed high ranking titles to our two households.”

As for Jisoo, she was the prettiest of them. In the beginning, in order to help Eunwoo ascend to the thrown and win over the officials, Jisoo was volunteered to be a concubine and used her beauty to lure the official’s support but at the end was killed by the official’s wife with a random reason.
After knowing about the death of Jisoo, Jungkook cried so much that he almost had a miscarriage.
Now seeing Jisoo standing in front of him with her usual beautiful self and Lisa smiling at him, seeing the both maids at a good age of eighteen year old put Jungkook in a momentary trance.

After a moment, he then bitterly smiled and closed his eyes, “The illusion one see before death was just so real.”

“What is Young master saying?” Lisa put the cup aside and touched Jungkook’s forehead, “Has the fever confused you?”
Feeling the ice cold hand that touched his forehead which felt both comfortable and real, Jungkook suddenly opened his eyes and his eyes sharpened. He slowly lowered his head and looked at his own hands.
There laid a pair of fair and delicate hand with nails neatly trimmed. One could see that it was a pair of pampered hand as they were smooth and adorable.

Dealing with the matters of court with Eunwoo, Jungkook hands were already getting rough during that situation. He copied every account book and was like a servant who was bossed around in Qin country like a servant, battled in the Inner Palace because of Soobin and Wonyoung and washed clothes in the Cold Palace that his hands were filled with calluses and his joints were swelling. Lisa and Jisoo looked at one another in dismay and at the end Jisoo brought a mirror out and handed it over to Jungkook.
In the bronze mirror, the young boy’s face was round with a full forehead, a pair of large doe eyes was slightly red, a rounded nose and a small mouth. It was still a child-like face and was not very beautiful but was lovely and refreshing and had a well behaved and shy appearance.
This was a young boy’s face which the Royal family praised for being one that could ‘bring fortune to one’s husband’.
The mirror in Jungkook’s hand suddenly landed on the floor and a clear sharp sound rang out. When the sound of the shards resonated in hia heart, it set off a large stormy wave.
Jungkook pinched himself ferociously and two rows of tears fell.

The Yuanpei died during her middle age and old General Jeon married a second wife and she gave birth to Jeon Gui from the second household and Jeon Wan from the third household. After old General Jeon died, the second wife became current Old Furen. The Jeon family were not separated and all three bothers supported one another mutually with good relationships and this became an anecdote.
The Jeon family had a lineage in military. When reaching Jeon Shin generation, other than the first household who was holding to military power, the second and third household were taking the route of literary officials. Upon seeing Jungkook, she quickened her steps to the bed and spoke worriedly, “Fifth Younger brother, is your health better? After knowing that you have fallen into the water, I was worried for a long time but Yu Jiao Courtyard’s people said that you needed to rest and I dare not disturb. There were thwo Di daughters and one sub son in the Jeon family.
