Elias de Clare...a small kid who wanted his family to be like others...he had heard how close and open other families are when the other noble family's children used to visit the palace with their parents
He also started longing for such a dream childishly forgetting that he isn't a part of any normal family but the royal family of the great valeria who ruled over the entire continent
His fraternal twin everett was totally opposite to him not only in looks but also in his behaviour and thinking....where elias was childish, dreamer, and had a fragile heart, everett was internally resolute, strong-willed and intelligent.....where elias was emotionally weak and used to think with his heart, everett was the strongest, and made decisions with his mind..... perhaps the reason why he survived the royal family with his quick thinking and strong wits whereas elias....he slowly became the disappointment of the royalty...a weak, good for nothing....the black sheep of the very family he so dearly craved to be a part of
Years passed and Elias slowly started becoming alienated from his family....he started getting jealous of his brothers who used to get all the love and attention from his parents....with darkness taking root at his fragile heart, he started hating his parents as well...his mother for being shallow for power and discriminating between his own children and his father for putting the throne above his own family
But no matter how much jealousy and hatred took residence in his heart, the longing for love, validation and acceptance never left causing him an equally immense pain as much as the hatred and jealousy does
He started wearing a mask...a mask of an obedient child in an attempt to copy his siblings to get the love and validation that he craved for but as if sensing his troubled heart and fake exterior, they still never accepted him adding more fuel to the fire
His father, siblings, friends and court officials could easily sense the fakeness of his keeping their distance for in their hearts Elias was a jealous person who is two faced and can easily stab them in the back....a good for nothing, two faced jealous person...spells nothing but trouble in their minds
In the end, their own untrustworthy behaviour towards Elias alienated him further because in their eyes, elias' jealousy could lead to problems in the future, they would refrain from talking about state matters in front of him and wouldn't share or ask for his advice on important matters....elias truly became a good for nothing royal who would only be included in idle chats....he wasn't respected in the palace nor outside...he quickly became a laughing stock amongst the upper society with neither his parents nor his siblings taking a stand for him....a useless royal
