Boss

Kurohana
[calm, deadly] I’ve never failed.
Boss
Good. We’re counting on you. Don’t disappoint.
Message ends. Kurohana leans back, sharp eyes narrowing, calculating the upcoming mission… completely unaware that one small misstep will cost her everything.
Kurohana
[crouches at the edge of the shattered window, rain dripping down her black uniform]

(Extraction point is three floors below… )
Suddenly Kurohana felt an ominous wave hit her

[turns back immediately]
The Phantom
Ah... Kurohana.. [tilting his head]
When I heard someone intruded into my secret base I didn't expect it to be you..
Kurohana
Who are you..? [cold]
The Phantom
You don't know me? Ouch— That stings.. [clutches his chest dramatically] I know you though.
Kurohana
That don't answer my question.
I asked you, "𝑊ℎ𝑜 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢?"
The Phantom
Call me… whatever you want, Kurohana. But I like ‘Phantom.’ Short, mysterious… and deadly. Like me~
The Phantom
And.. I know that you're not making out of this building alive.
The Phantom
Ready to dance, Kurohana? Or should I wait for you to slip? 😏

With a blur, Phantom lunged. Not fast… inhumanly fast, almost teasing as he moved, landing precise strikes just inches from her.
Kurohana
(Predictable arc. Right hand. Slight overbalance. Counterstrike if…)
She spun, dodging, using the ledge and broken pipes for leverage. Rain hammered her vision, but every move was calculated and perfect.
The Phantom
[mock gasp] Ohhh, impressive! But predictable perfection bores me.
He vaulted over her, landing behind her. Before she could react, he tapped her shoulder lightly, almost playfully.
Kurohana
[turns sharply, dagger ready] You’re faster than anyone I’ve faced… but one mistake and—
Her foot slipped on the wet ledge. One tiny misstep.
The Phantom
[smirking, arms spreading like he’s enjoying a show] Bingo!
He didn’t strike yet, just let her stumble, letting the moment stretch while taunting her precision-driven mind.
Kurohana
(No… not now… focus… retreat…)
She leapt toward the window for escape, sliding along the narrow ledge. Phantom mirrored her movements, impossibly close, teasing every angle.
The Phantom
You see, Kurohana… human perfection can’t beat chaos. Not tonight.
Another slip—a microsecond hesitation—and Phantom’s knife intrude her abdomen.
Kurohana
I… was flawless… until…
Rain, darkness… and then nothing.
