In Another Universe, You Will Be MINE

THE FIRST GLANCE

The night was quiet, almost too quiet. Only the faint ticking of the wall clock filled in the room. Aarohi was laying on the bed. Phone in hand.Earphones plugged in, scrolling reels .It was already 12:45. She tried to sleep for 1 hour but she couldn't sleep. And once again she promised herself—that she would sleep after “just five more minutes” of scrolling. Exams were coming. her textbooks opened on the desk, and she couldn’t bring herself to close the screen.

And then it happened.

A video reel began to play. At first, it was nothing unusual—just seven boys performing on stage, their angelic voices , their movements sharp and captivating. But the moment his face appeared, the world seemed to freeze.

He wasn’t just handsome. There was something in his boxy smile, something warm in his deep voice. His laughter, the sparkle in his eyes.something she didn’t even know existed

“Who is he…?” she whispered to herself, tapping the screen back to replay it. Once, twice, five times, ten times.

Her heart was racing like she’d run a marathon. It didn’t make sense. He was just a stranger on a screen, someone oceans away, someone she’d never met. And still… she felt as if she knew him for years , something precious, something fated.

The caption under the reel gave her a clue: “BTS – Kim Taehyung (V).”

She mouthed the name "Taehyung". Even his name felt like a secret meant for her .

Curiosity took over. She typed his name into the search bar. Hours slipped away as she fell down in a hole of YouTube videos, performances, interviews, and fan-made edits of their funny videos. Songs and many more. Each clip revealed a little more—she discovered the group BTS, their journey, their struggles, their bond. But her focus, always, returned to him. His deep voice when he sang, his playful energy with his members, the way he spoke about dreams with such sincerity.

Just like this she spent the whole night. Her room is filled with morning lights. It was 5:30 am. And finally Aarohi closed her phone put it on side and lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling. “What are you doing to me?” she whispered into the silence. Her chest ached in the strangest way— like a new hope, like the beginning of something new.

She knew it was silly. People didn’t fall for strangers on screens. People don’t believe in destiny anymore. But still..... she felt something different.

That night, Aarohi wrote a single line in her diary....

“MAYBE LOVE DOESN'T ALWAYS BEGINS WITH MEETING. MAYBE SOMETIME LOVE BEGINS WITH GLANCE"

The night ends just like this.

Days turned into weeks, weeks into months. Slowly, her world changed. Between classes and studies, she searched for every update on BTS. She memorized Taehyung’s lines in songs, replayed his interviews. His laughter became her favorite sound, his smile, his voice, his picture became her comfort in her exhausting days.

She didn’t tell anyone that it was just “some band she listened to.” But privately she built a secret

world where Taehyung existed at the center.

It wasn’t about being a delusional fangirl. She knew the truth—he was an idol, a global star, someone like her lead life in a middle class family probably never met him. But knowing that didn’t stop her heart from finding a home in him.

And day by day grow a hope that ......

one day she will not see him through the screen but with her own eyes .

A SECRET WROLD

12:00

December 30, 2016.

The date shown in her phone lock screen. Aarohi looked at a calendar and circled the date which was kept on the desk. She smiled at herself and whispered "Taehyung's Birthday".

It has already been 4 months since Aarohi saw Taehyung for the first time that night. It felt strange, celebrating the birthday of someone who didn't even know she ever existed in this world. But still it was more than a date to her. It was a reminder of the boy who had filled her world with lights and happiness.

The whole night she stayed up scrolling the fans posts and birthday projects. Pictures videos, handwritting letters and weverse posts ....they all are showing their love for him . She didn't join the birthday project but she created a post on her secret Instagram account. Also she baked a tiny cake, lit a candle and whispered " Happy Birthday Taehyung"

Her parents were unaware of the reason for cutting cake. They asked her "are you celebrating someone's birthday?

She didn't say anything just smiled.

That day between her regular class and studies, she carried a lot of joy and happiness in her heart. Taehyung was older by one more year, separated by distance and fame. But still she was connected to him by her heart. Every time she opened her phone saw edits of him smiling, videos of fans cheering, videos of turning Seoul into Taehyung's land. And she felt happy to be a part of something large - an invisible family of people who loved him deeply.

Still it wasn't easy to explain this world or universe to anyone who didn't know about this world. To her classmate she was a serious girl whose whole world revolved around studies and books. To her parents she was a girl who was chasing for good marks. But they didn't know that now her whole world revolves around Taehyung's voice, BTS music, and the laughter of seven boys. It becomes her comfort zone.

She begins collecting things of this world like treasures. A folder of their photos and videos name 'happiness' saved in her gallery. Her music apps are filled with BTS songs. Whenever she doubted herself always wrote her feelings in her diary.

"DIARY : I don't know whether I could meet you or not but I just want to say thank you for existing in this world, Thank you for making my worst day bearable, Thank you for making me believe tomorrow can be better."

One day her best friend noticed the way she smiled when suddenly Taehyung's song played in her phone. She asked her "whose song you are listening to now?"

Aarohi shyly answered someone I just admired.

But the admiration was half of the truth. What she felt was deeper, something she didn't dare to name. How could she explain that Taehyung and other 6 Angels are strangers but more real to her than the people she sees around her everyday.

This is how months passed and the boys grew bigger, louder, and brighter. They started performing on the bigger stage. In 2017 they won the top social artist award at the Billboard music awards and became the first k-pop group to perform on a major U.S. Award show. Aarohi cheered and clapped alone in her room when they won awards, and murmured "I am proud of you Taehyung".

It was her secret world. A world no one else knows about.

DREAMS VS REALITY

The announcement came in the summer of 2017—BTS World Tour.

The internet exploded with excitement, hashtags trended worldwide. But sadness hovered on Aarohi's face. They weren’t coming to her city. She imagined it all: the fan chants, the purple ocean of light sticks, all BTS members on the stage their laughter, performance beside that Taehyung's smile and his childish behavior lit up the whole stadium.

For weeks, she lived in that dream. She checked ticket prices again and again. She checked her savings jar every night, she saved the money from her pocket money. She whispered to herself, “You can do this, Aarohi Just a little more.”

But dreams can be cruel.

Tickets sold out within minutes, vanishing before her eyes. Even if she’d been fast enough, the money wasn’t enough. Travel, food, and all the extras—completely impossible.

The night of the concert, her chest felt hollow, there was a pain in her heart. Social media overflowed with pictures—purple lights glowing like stars, fans singing and chanting their names, Taehyung’s voice echoing through the stadium.

She shut her phone, rolled up herself in a blanket on the bed, and pressed the play button on the playlist.

Her room became her own stadium. She made a light stick. Suddenly tears started falling from her eyes.

When Taehyung’s solo voice filled the air.

She stood in front of the mirror and whispered to her reflection, "One day, I’ll be there. One day, I’ll see you with my own eyes."

2018: SEVENTEEN AND SEARCHING

2018 the last year of her childhood. She felt stuck between childhood and adulthood. The pressure of schoolwork was high, teachers demanded a good results, and her parents reminded her daily to “focus on reality.” Yet, she often felt like reality was the heaviest thing —uncertain, overwhelming, suffocating. But her comforting zone was always the same: BTS.

In this year BTS released their studio album "LOVE YOURSELF There was a song name 'singularity' in that album, it was a solo song by Taehyung. Aarohi listened the song whole night. His deep voice and the meaning of the song it was like a massage to her. Every night when she felt anxious, put headphone play the song closed her eyes and whispered -" thank you, Taehyung for giving me hope.

Days, months, passed like this and Aarohi's love, admiration for BTS increased more and more.

At eighteen Aarohi's days were split between heavy textbooks and the dreams of BTS.

Endless studies, late night revisions, and the constant presser to score well in exams. Her parents insisted her to decide her future. Each day felt like a race to her. The weight of expectation was growing bigger with every passing months.

On the other side her dream BTS. After a long day of heavy schedule when she went to her bed at night, she listened the words RM said:"Effort makes you. You will regret someday if you don't do your best now" "If you can dream it, you can do it". The words of RM gave her confidence and make her believe she can do it ....
