After so many years of the world being swallowed in the darkness, the world at last found peace and harmony. The dragon, a powerful evil, often regarded as a demon deity, was trapped in a surreal dungeon known as the prison world for hundreds of years in order to stop his dark and dominating reign over the universe. Soon, he found a way to break out of the prison world through the gateway after an unpredictable celestial event called the Shadow Fall took place, where by the earth's darkness collided with the moon, totally overwhelming the moon thereby creating a powerful eclipse that disrupted the magical barrier shrouding the path of the gateway. After being trapped for so many years inside the prison world, he finally regained his freedom, although the aftermath/consequential effect was that he wasn't as powerful as before. His shadow servants had to carry out his evil bidding while he regained his power gradually through the death of his victims. Aside from the dragon, there were powerful elite warriors who long existed and strong rivals of the dragon. They were called members of the chosen. The members of the chosen gained their power from the unknown. The unknown was a parallel dimension of infinite ♾️ power, as unmeasurable as the verses itself. Members of the chosen were connected to the unknown and drew from its immense power. The dragon also gained his powers from this parallel dimension and misused it to the point of getting corrupted. A member of the chosen can access one of the three touch of power. The first touch of power is the elemental talent,the second touch of power is dream walking, and the third touch of power is the shadow curse. Members of the chosen, able to access the first touch of power are called summoners because they are able to summon any of the five elemental forces of nature (fire,water,wind,earth, and spirit). Members of the chosen, able to access the second touch of power, are called dream walkers. They have the ability to transverse the dream world known as aethelgard and manipulate the fabric of reality. Members of the chosen, able to access the third touch of power, are called shadowsouled. They can bend dark magic to their will. The obsidian palace was the abode of the chosen. The members of the chosen were known for their dark coloured warrior robe. There are three known calibres in the obsidian palace. The feedlers being the lowest are those who serve the purpose of getting information for the obsidian palace. In the middle are the sword artists, which are those who are trained in swordsmanship and warfare for both offence and defence. Then, the highest calibre in the obsidian palace is the horsemen, which are seven revered persons regarded as outstanding and oldest members of the obsidian palace as well as powerful figures. The horsemen serve the purpose of finding the last blood of zerr andor. Zerr Andor was a prodigy and the man who sacrificed himself to trap the dragon inside the prison world. A prodigy, like zerr andor, is a chosen who lacks the ability to access the three touch of power but possesses the 'spark', the power that stems from the soul considered as the unsullied true light that drives away darkness.

Zerr Andor was the only known prodigy and a powerful member of the chosen who was powerful enough to trap the dragon in the prison world for over thousands of years. The horsemen, the highest calibre in the obsidian palace, served the purpose of finding the last blood of zerr andor, who would obviously possess the spark as a prodigy. Unlike other members of the chosen who wore black coated warrior robes, the horsemen wore the same black ⚫️ colour, but to distinguish them from the rest, they also wore dark cloaks and a black head band. The horsemen were seven in number. Karan excalor, head of the horsemen, Philip ankor Lieutenant of karan, lior greenberg, cairbre el' thor, abban sleyman, morissa geranderr, and radah mondragael. The horsemen ruled the obsidian palace and had their member meetings in a restricted hall only meant for them and them alone. It was a tradition for a member of the horsemen to lead a group of chosen to conduct a test to people who are also members of the chosen but are unaware. This activity was carried out in order to discover more members of the chosen across the villages and small towns who were hidden. Karan, the head of the horsemen, was going to lead this time. He was going to travel with a handful of chosen to small towns and villages in order for them to conduct their test for finding/discovering more people who have been chosen, but before they could travel to the small towns and villages, they needed permission from the emperor, emperor eoghan, the overseer of the affairs of the small towns and villages within the southern region. In order to seek permission from the emperor, they travelled to the white castle 🏰 where the emperor, emperor eoghan, dwelled as his abode. As soon as karan and his people arrived at the white castle, they were immediately stopped at the entrance by the guards as they crossed their royal stakes to prevent them from entering/intruding. One of the guards rushed into the throne room to inform Emperor eoghan about the arrival of the members of the chosen, so he ordered that they should be let in. Karan and his people entered the throne room to meet with the emperor, emperor eoghan.

Karan - ' we're pleased to be in your presence, emperor eoghan'.

Emperor Eoghan - ' Your Highness should be more preferable, so what brings the members of the chosen to the white castle 🏰'?

Karan - ' Well, we need your permission to conduct our test on the villages and small towns in this region'.

Emperor Eoghan - ' And why should I agree to you? You know, I do not fancy witches.

Karan - ' We are not doing anything unorthodox, and again, we are not witches.

Emperor Eoghan - ' But that's what people address your kind as'.

Karan - ' That's what we are addressed as, but that's not what we are.Don't worry, Your Highness, we are not dominating your region , nor are we bewitching your people.

Emperor Eoghan - 'If you say so. but remember that I'll strike if your activities threaten my people.

Karan - ' Of course, your Highness'.

Then they rode away on their horses 🐎.

Karan, after gaining the permission of the emperor, emperor eoghan, travelled to the villages and small towns with his people, conducting the test on people to discover more chosen members. The tool or object used to conduct the test is a black object called the true stone, which if a person who has been chosen or has a connection to the unknown touches the true stone a surge of energy will emitt, showing that they are chosen. The true stone sparks a trickle of connection to the unknown, which creates the surge of energy for the first time, which is how they're able to discover those who have been chosen. The river land was located deep in the southern region known for their ever flowing unblemished water. They had young, vibrant women who could connect to the spirit of the water 💧. They were known as priestesses. Each priestess is expected to choose a young maiden who will learn the art of spiritism and succeed them if they become deceased. The most popular priestess in the river land was Sarah rowan. Sarah was known for her expertise and unmatched mastery of spiritism ever practised. Sarah chose deirdre feywin as her young maiden to learn the art of spiritism, which is a highly revered practice in the whole of the river land. Deirdre was in a romantic relationship with caelin, but Sarah didn't like their closeness because if deirdre was to lose her virginity, she would be unfit to be a priestess and such is called staining one's pride. Caelin and deirdre really liked each other, although their relationship was gradually falling apart because of deirdre's priestesshood. Sarah started to teach deirdre how to perform the sacred rites of spiritism.

Sarah -' to perform the sacred rites of spiritism, you must clear your mind of everything and connect to the spirits that lie within our ancient waters 💧'.

Deirdre -' Why did you choose me as your young maiden?

Sarah -' I chose you because I saw something in you, something extraordinary ✨️, that's why I don't want you disappointing me.

Deirdre -' What do you mean by disappointing you?

Karan and his people arrived at the river land to conduct the test. People were usually afraid of the members of the chosen. After testing all of them, Sarah refused to be tested, so she also refused deirdre to be tested as well.

Sarah -' I refuse to be tested'.

Karan -' And why is that?
