Ruthless Enigma
Ch.1 Broken Engagement
THE ALPHAVERSE
This story takes place in Anarcheim, a parallel Alphaverse galaxy in a dark future seeded with varied forms of alien life. There are, however, two immutable constants. The first is that all inhabitants are Enigmas, Alpha, beta, or omega. Enigmas dominate, alphas lead, betas serve, and omegas submit. That is the way. The second is that violence is a way of life, power is essential to survival, and crime is king.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
"P-please, Alpha Lord... Why am I here?"
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"Quiet!"
His meaty hand clamped around his wrist, Noah hurried to keep pace with his father, Olan Lunden, his bare feet slapping against the cold, metallic tiles.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
He was still in his silk robe, one that left far too much exposed. Less than an hour ago, he'd been preparing for his prime omega contract—a pretense of duty to the eldest son of the Verish crime syndicate. Submission had been the only choice; crossing one of the galaxy’s most brutal crime lords came at too high a cost.
Noah had learned that lesson many times.
Except now he was here, aboard a sleek, rumbling space shuttle, finally breathing air outside the compound that had held him captive since his first estrus began. Twenty-four years old, and seeing the galaxy beyond the walls of his quarters had been a dream… one now twisted into a nightmare.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"Keep up!" (jerked his arm, sending Noah stumbling into his side as they rushed down the hallway)
The shuttle’s walls were glossy black, reflecting more than he wanted to see. His white robe and unbound white-gold hair were streaked with crimson from the track lights, while his small omega frame was dwarfed by his father and a cluster of bodyguards.
Like all male Lundens, Olan’s soldiers were unnervingly beautiful—long, flowing white-blond hair, pointed ears.
But their gazes were predatory rather than protective, drawn to their commander’s bruising grip, his aggression sparking the same hunger in them.
The thick scent of testosterone hung heavy in the air—stirring something primal in Noah, even as his mind screamed in horror at the dominance surrounding him.
One of the soldiers sniffed the air.
Bodyguard
“He smells… incredible.”
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“Keep it together, or I’ll rip your throats out."
(barked)
Normally, Noah would have hidden from his father and the guards at all costs. But there was nowhere to run.
Olan had brought him to the secret gathering place of the 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙙, the elite council of the galaxy’s most ruthless crime families. His father was one of its twelve members, a seat usually reserved for men of power. Lowly omega sons rarely attended.
The sight of the Brotherhood crest carved into the dark corridor in blood-red ink made his stomach twist.
𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒍𝒍. 𝑺𝒐𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒚 𝒖𝒔.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
💭*Did they somehow know about my plans to escape? The money and valuables I’d pilfered over the years when my father grew careless?*
Tearing his gaze away from the ominous words, he tried again.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
“Alpha Lord… please. If you could just tell me what’s happening—what—”
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"Enough"
Pain shot down his spine as the massive Alpha slammed him into the wall, crushing him with his bulk. Olan’s face loomed close, fangs bared, his unkempt beard scraping against Noah’s jaw, breath hot against his cheek.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“There is only one good use for an omega’s mouth" (growled)
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“And if you don’t shut yours, I might forget you’re my firstborn—and let these guards remind you exactly why.”
As always, Noah’s body trembled, his gaze slipping downward. His instincts screamed to submit, and his mind fought, torn between terror and an overwhelming, helpless compulsion.
Noah hated it most of all.
All his life, he had wished he could rip the biological imperative to obey from his cells, to erase the omega taint—but it was impossible.
The Alpha, beta, omega dynamic was as inescapable as fate itself.
𝙀𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙢𝙖𝙨 𝙙𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙. 𝘼𝙡𝙥𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙡𝙚𝙙. 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙙. 𝙊𝙢𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙪𝙗𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙙.
Each role was a primal compulsion encoded in every inhabitant of the galaxy. Affection, care, respect, or consent were irrelevant. Like breathing, it simply existed. Its essence was raw. Irresistible. Immutable.
No matter how hard he tried to resist.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“You’ve caused me enough fûcking problems, omega.”
Olan slammed Noah’s head into the wall again.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
(He fought to stay silent. Noise only fueled aggression in Alphas. Already, his father’s men snapped and snarled behind him, their bloodlust rising.)
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“The contract with the Verish family is null and void. You will no longer receive the honor of being the prime omega to their heir.”
Shock slammed into Noah. Panic followed. The alliance had been in the works since his birth.
The Verish crime family might look insect-like, with sharp mandibles and spindly limbs, but their connections within the Brotherhood were untouchable. As the official omega of the Verish Alpha heir, Noah would have gained protection, food, shelter—even after his childbearing years ended.
The alternative positions—indentured omega or unclaimed omega whøre—offered nothing.
Most importantly for his own plans, Noah had intended to use this position as a stepping stone—to escape Olan’s control, and eventually flee Anarcheim with his family to a non-Alphaverse galaxy where no one could find them.
He had no desire to trade one form of servitude for another. And even if the eldest Verish heir was not as monstrous as Olan, he was still an Alpha—and that meant Noah would remain nothing more than a toy, bound to obey.

This is not my original story—just a BL twist on a straight Omegaverse tale. It’s dark, brutal, and filthy, packed with dominant, relentless alpha energy and explicit, unrestrained sêx. I’ve pushed past the original limits—what’s here is raw, wet, and untamed. Some of it isn’t from the original; it’s my own additions to make you pant, shiver, and crave more.

Ch.2 Gambling Debt Payment
He wanted to give his little sister, Kaiya, as well as his mother and himself a different life than the powerless, voiceless ones they'd endured thus far.
But her goal appeared more out of reach than ever.
But his goal appeared more out of reach than ever.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
"What happened to void the contract?"
A terrifying thought occurred.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
"Did they discover you were lying about my gift?"
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
(eyes widened and his hand closed around Noah's throat and squeezed it)
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"Say that again and I'll kill you myself and risk the Brotherhood's wrath."
Noah nodded as much as his grip would allow.
His hold slackened and air flooded back into Noah's lungs.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"As far as you're concerned, your gift works. Always has. Do I make myself clear?"
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
"Yes, Alpha."
He repeated the words his father beat into him.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
"I am a lucky, rare omega who still has his visions."
In truth, he'd only experienced the power of his gift once fifteen years ago, but like a phantom limb, the pain of the loss still ached every rotation of the suns' twenty-nine-hour cycle.
He pushed it from his mind. His gift was gone, its loss one more thing he had to accept.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"Good."
Olan's hold loosened further, an owner pleased with his pet.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"What else?"
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
"Unlike most omegas who lose their gifts around the time of adolescence, I continue to be able to access mine and see past events."
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"Exactly right."
It was a bold untruth maintained through manufactured testimonies from terrified witnesses who'd saved their own skin by claiming he could recount events he'd never witnessed.
As a result of those lies, Noah had become a sought-after prime omega and Olan's reputation and influence had grown, his wealth expanding, his criminal businesses prospering.
He didn't care that Noah would be the one to suffer when his new Alpha would command him to use his gift, and he would be unable to deliver.
Hid father had instructed him to take responsibility for the failure and suggest that his new surroundings and his new Alpha were at fault. It hadn't concerned Olan that Noah would be beaten, or worse. He expected him to bear the consequences of his lies, and he'd been prepared to do so.
Because he knew the cost of otherwise.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"Remember your sister and your mother are counting on you for their continued safety."
It was as if Olan read his thoughts.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"I know you won't want to disappoint them, or me."
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
"Yes, Alpha."
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"When your gift fails while in the bàstard's care, that's on him—and you. Correct?"
Noah tried to make sense of Olan's words. Was his father saying he was going to be given to someone else instead? When the eldest Verish son had come to assess his potential as his prime omega, he'd been unnerved by the way he'd looked at Noah, as if he intended to devour him.
Maybe—just maybe—whatever was happening now would be a better fate. Maybe escape would be easier?
But he knew better than to probe given Olan's current mood, so he told him what he wanted to hear instead,
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
"Yes, Alpha."
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"Right answer."
Spinning him away from the wall, his father hustled him down the hall again, his father's soldiers falling in line right behind.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"You will obey as always."
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
"Yes, Alpha."
Another lie, but direct confrontation would get him no closer to escape.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
(moved faster)
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"I have some gambling debts I can't currently pay."
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
(throat went dry)
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"You will be given as payment instead."
As if he were an omega whóre. It was a far fall from prime omega status. Not that he wanted that anyway, Noah reminded himself.
He gave Noah no time to respond.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"I have also been accused of crimes against the Brotherhood."
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
(stumbled on his feet)
This was an even bigger blow.
There was no greater sin than to betray the Brotherhood. Worse, punishment for such a misdeed did not end with the guilty party but extended to his closest family.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
"Is it true?"
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"No."
His grip grew so tight Noah feared he'd break his bone. It would not be the first time.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
"And if you are asked, you will, of course, affirm your Alpha's innocence."
Noah swayed, bile rising in the back of his throat.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
"Who is your accuser?"
But in his heart, he already knew.

Ha~ I really hate this Olan-Polan 🙄

Anyways, if you’re expecting a flawless savior male protagonist who worships Noah's every step, then forget it. He’s dominant, ruthless in thought like Olan, yet he’s not here to break Noah—he won’t torture or humiliate him. But make no mistake, he won’t bend to Noah's whims either.

Ch.3 Him, The Ruthless Enigma
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
(snarled, ignoring Noah's questions in favor of a rant he’d heard before)
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“This damn feud. He’s like a wolverbear with a bone. First, he attacks my businesses. Then my personal assets. Then, he moves on to threats on my life. It’s enough.”
His father’s roar echoed through the hall.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“He will regret taking me on when his name is blacked out of the Brotherhood as if it never was. This must come to an end. There will be a trial. Evidence will be presented. I will be allowed to counter. Then, the Brotherhood will decide in my favor. It will all work out.”
But Noah wasn’t so confident.
He knew his father had done terrible things. He also knew that his father was a liar.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
💭*This could not be happening.*
All he had done his whole life was to try and protect his sister and mother. He’d endured the beatings, the punishment, and the humiliations to keep the two people he cared for as safe as possible from Olan Lundin.
Now, Olan was going to be the death of them anyway.
Because if Olan was the one found guilty by the Brotherhood, it would not be only him who was executed, but all of his household, including Noah's mother and sister.
Not if Noah could help it.
He would simply speed up his plans for escape. He’d run away from whomever he was to be given to in payment while his new owner’s guard was down and hadn’t yet realized that Noah was less biddable than he pretended.
With Olan distracted by the trial, his attention would be elsewhere, too. His careful surveillance of his mother and sister weaker than usual.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“In you go.”
Noah hadn’t realized they’d reached the end of the ship’s corridor.
His father gestured toward an opaque glass door as high as his knees.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
(heart slammed into his ribs)
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
“No.”
He hated small, dark places. He’d spent far too much time floating in the deprivation punishment chambers his father used for those who displeased him, including omega daughters and omega sons who did not obey fast enough.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“In!”
He shoved Noah to his knees.
Panting, he looked inside. Oh, gods, it was so small, and it would shrink once he entered, the sensors in the walls conforming to his body and forcing him to remain bent over, his body in submission.
He forced himself to breathe.
Furthermore, he had never allowed his father to break him, and he would not do so now. He crawled forward—only to be stalled as thick fingers tangled in his hair and jerked him back out, his scalp stinging as he hung in his Alpha father's grip.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“One more thing.”
He pressed his lips to Noah's ear, so his soldiers wouldn’t hear.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“Do not tell that bàstard anything.”
He’d told him nothing more about his fate. Olan shook him like a rag doll.
Olan Lundin/MC's Father/Alpha
“That damn gift of yours is broken. Make sure it stays that way. You cannot help being a useless omega whóre who will spread his legs for an Alpha's growl, but betray this family, and you will regret it. As will your sister. Not a fucking word of your family’s secrets to anyone. You already know what happens to snitches in our world.”
Before he could respond, Olan tossed him headfirst inside the darkened glass cell.
His forehead hit the glass.
His palms slammed against the floor.
The door slid shut, and the lights flickered off as the darkness closed in.
His breath rasped in his ears, his mind screaming as the walls and ceiling contracted. The pressure on his back increased like a boot on his spine, shoving him to the floor. The sensation of being crushed was as terrifying as always.
Thankfully, the ceiling stalled as his belly hit his knees and his body folded in on itself, pinning him in place.
The omega submissive first position, achieved with or without his consent.
His bowed position made it impossible to do anything but stare out at the spectacle beyond his cell.
Floating overhead were twelve two-story windows arranged in a circle, each lit from within by a blood-red light that illuminated a massive throne—and the more imposing figure sitting within.
These males were the twelve most ruthless crime lords in the galaxy.
These were the Enigmas who controlled the fate of every single inhabitant unlucky enough to be born into the rot and sin of the Anarcheim Alphaverse.
Noah Lundin/MC/Rare Omega
(He’d never felt more insignificant than when bowed at their feet. Drawn by an invisible force, his gaze rose to the window directly across the way)
Piercing amber eyes bore into Noah.
The title the Brotherhood had given him was carved into his throne and was reflected in every merciless line of his body.
Even now, after so many years, Noah recognized him. The boy was gone but not the mesmerizing power or the breathtaking handsomeness that had been his birthright.
Only added to his air of danger
Lucifer Skolov was still the most beautiful Enigma he’d ever seen. With thick sloping brows, wavy jet-black hair, a square jaw, and full sensual lips, his face was a masculine masterpiece.
The five o’clock shadow that covered his stunning face blended perfectly with the rugged black skin designs on his cheeks and neck, a common trait of all Skolovs.
He was far bigger than he’d once been—larger than Olan—and his bulging arms, bare, sculpted chest, and carved abdomen were equally mouthwatering, framed by the dark fur pelt that hung off his wide shoulders and stayed strapped to his body by wide leather bands that crisscrossed down his taut stomach.
The swirling skin designs that dipped beneath the waistband of his dark animal hide pants only added to his dangerous, barbaric look, as did the heavy, black boots that laced to his calves.
And for one brief, incredible moment years ago, Noah had thought that he might be his savior. Until he became his family’s greatest enemy.
His lips pulled back into a snarl, his fangs flashing. And he knew whatever was happening to him now was in no way better than the horrible fate he might have suffered as the prime omega of the eldest Verish son.
He understood, too, exactly why he was here and how futile it had been to believe escape might be possible.
He and his whole family were going to pay.

Hello guys, I know most of you don’t like too many author’s notes interrupting the flow of the story, but I just want to give you a little heads-up. The male protagonist here is not going to be a green flag. In fact, you might as well call him a black forest rather than even a black flag. He isn’t submissive, and he won’t be offering you fluffy, heartwarming love. He is dominant—driven by his enigmatic instincts—and that’s the kind of energy you’ll see in him. So, if you came here looking for a sweet, cozy romance with lighthearted moments, then this may not be your cup of tea. And for those under 16, I’d strongly suggest you step away here—because this story is definitely not for children.
