General Lianhua Mei
[Eyes scanning the horizon] The northern winds bring more than cold… I can feel it. Trouble is coming.
General Feng Wu
[Clutching his sword, tense] General, scouts report unusual troop movements near the western pass. Could be Xuanfei’s spies.
General Lianhua Mei
Then we act first. We cannot allow him to corner us. Prepare the eastern battalion.
[Notification: Prince Jianyu – Royal Chambers]
Prince Jianyu
[Leaning over a map of the kingdom] The northern provinces are restless. If Xuanfei moves before Lianhua does… I fear what may come.
Servant: Your Highness… General Lianhua has requested a private meeting.
Prince Jianyu
Send word. I will meet her at the eastern gate.
[Notification: Eastern Gate – Mid-Morning]
General Lianhua Mei
[Bow slightly] Your Highness. The northern borders are vulnerable. I intend to strike first.
Prince Jianyu
[Frowning] You risk everything by acting without the king’s approval.
General Lianhua Mei
Sometimes, the kingdom’s survival requires decisions the crown cannot make in time.
[Notification: Northern Pass – Same Time]
Commander Rui Shen
[Voice echoing across the cliffs] Scouts report the eastern army is mobilizing! Inform Minister Xuanfei immediately.
Minister Xuanfei

Lady Xue Ying
[Whispering] I’ve seen unfamiliar riders near the western ridge. They vanish before our scouts can approach.
General Feng Wu
[Clenching fists] Another ambush?
General Lianhua Mei
Then we prepare an ambush of our own. I will not be caught unaware.
[Notification: Palace – Minister Xuanfei’s Chambers]
Minister Xuanfei
[Tapping fingers on ornate desk] Prince Wei Han, your moment comes. Lianhua moves, the crown trembles, and soon… you will shine.
Prince Wei Han
[Smirking] And what of the General? She is dangerous.
Minister Xuanfei
Dangerous, yes. But even the sharpest blade can be broken.
[Notification: Eastern Army HQ – Dusk]
General Lianhua Mei
[Standing atop the ramparts] Soldiers! Today, we take the first step to reclaim what was stolen from our families! For honor, for justice, for the kingdom!
Soldiers: [In unison] For the General!
[Private Chat – Lianhua Mei & Jianyu]
Prince Jianyu
You trust too many, Lianhua. The court is riddled with snakes.
General Lianhua Mei
And yet, the battlefield tests loyalty more than the throne ever could.
Prince Jianyu
Be careful. Even the closest allies may falter.
General Lianhua Mei
Then I will ensure my sword finds the traitors before they strike.
[Notification: Western Ridge – Nightfall]
Assassin Jin Yue
[Whispering into the darkness] Tonight, the General’s life will end… and the kingdom will kneel before Minister Xuanfei.

[Clutching her sword, staring at the moon] The game has begun. Every shadow may conceal a friend… or a foe. And I will not fail.
