The morning sun suddenly penetrated into the room. Chen xinyi squinted her eyes, she frowned as her sleep was roughly disturb.

"Xinyi, wake up". Wan lili walk to the bed, she shook her body. "It's still early,let me sleep for two minutes more". Chen xinyi grumbled, she covered herself with the quilt again. "Wake up, lazy bone, do you know what the time is now". Wan lili said coolly. She looked at her best friend and shook her head. "The alarm clock hasn't ring,hey pull the blind together, the sun is harsh". Wan lili stood speechlessly. What kind of fate made her to have a lazy friend like this.

"You can sleep, our beauty. Tsk, I remembered someone telling me yesterday that she has an interview today by nine o'clock."

"Yeah, I.."Chen xinyi suddenly jerk up awake. "Omg, the interview!!".

"What, so you still Care about it, I thought..."

"What is the time?"Chen xinyi tossed the quilt away. She didn't know whether she should cry. There was barely an hour left. She was destined to be late. Chen xinyi sat in a daze. "What are you thinking about".

Chen xinyi sighed "what should I do?". She was really confused, there is no way she can make it to the interview again.

"Go take a bath, I have run the shower for you, I will pack up your breakfast for you".

"Really". Xinyi look at her with twinkled eyes.

"Don't you care about your interview".

"Yes, yes, thanks Lili. Xinyi dashed to the bathroom. Why wouldn't she care. She has really been excited about the interview. This interview was with the LZ group. The biggest business company in Xi'an city. Chen xinyi have put in lots of application letters and luckily she was finally consider. By the time she was ready, it's was 8:36am.

"How do I look".

"Cute as usual, now enter the car and go." Wan lili said impatiently while smiling. Naturally Chen xinyi is exceptionally beautiful. Her apple like little face is so tender, and her slightly curly bangs are as thin and long as a crescent moon. Her slightly curved lips look like ripe cherry. Since high school, she has always been the campus belle. Having graduated from college,a few months ago, she has been in the look out for a good jobs. "Thanks, what can I do without you".

"That's why you have me". Lili smiled "good luck, be careful on the way". waving back at her,Chen xinyi drove off. Wan lili chuckled "so much for a lazy baby,wan lili don't give up on her". She walked back to you apartment they rented together after their graduation. Since they have been childhood friends,wan lili decided to stay in Xi'an city with Chen xinyi. They joined money and brought a less expensive car.

Chen xinyi glanced at her wrist watch from time to time. "Can this thing go any faster than this" xinyi hit the steering wheel. The car she has always thought is very fast, suddenly seems like it has the slowest speed. ' I should get there before nine'

As it was in the morning, the road wasn't too full with vehicles.

cars gradually came to a halt as the traffic lamp shows red.

"I can't halt for this sign". Chen xinyi hit on the accelerator. ' I have always been a good citizen, this wouldn't be a big deal' she thought as she speed up, eager to get to LZ group on time.

Thud!!

Taken aback, xinyi suddenly Yelp as her car collided with another car. Her car stop abruptly. Luckily, she was on seatbelt so she wasn't injured. Seeing someone coming out from the other car,Chen xinyi got down quickly. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry". She apologized.

"Miss, you have caused damage to my car".

"I'm sorry, I will pay compensation. it's really my fault". She sighed. Inside she was feeling so sad and frustrated. Did she wake up at the other side of the bed. Why are things going again her. After inspecting her car, she was relieved that nothing happened to it, but the other car had a dented body.

"How much will it cost to repair the car". xinyi asked.

"¥2980570".

"What, are you trying to rob me on broad daylight". Xinyi retorted, her little face already turning red from anger. Xinyi did a mental calculation. That's was approximately three million yuan. Where is she going to get such money from. Even if they sell her, her best friend and everything she have,it will not still be enough to cover for the compensation.

"Miss, you can meet with the insurance company,if you don't want to pay".

"What! how can you rob me for such a lousy...".

Xinyi swallowed back the word 'car' that she wanted to say.

Her legs suddenly went weak as she stared at the black shiny Bugatti la voiture noire car.

This car is a limited edition car of 16million dollar. So far, there is only five of that car available in the whole world. Chen xinyi heart thud with pain. "Sir, please help me, I don't have that money". At once her stubbornness dissipate into thin air. Chen xinyi has never felt so devastated like this before.

The middle aged man looks at home with amazement. Just a moment ago, she was accusing him of robbery and now she is on her knees, kowtowing for him to help her.

Right now, Chen xinyi mind was in turmoil. "Get up, miss".

"No way"xinyi shook her head,"please hello me, I'm unemployed."

She tilted her head sideward and suddenly froze like she has been hit by thunder bolt. Staring at the man leaning against the car, xinyi felt like she was floating in cloud nine. She has seen many handsome men in Xi'an city, but no one has ever shocked her like this. She could only describe him in one word 'demigod'. The man looked like he has just come out of a painting. He stood so tall and straight. He was wearing a dark burgundy suit, his slender shadow was even more pleasant to the eyes. He features were like a sculptor masterpiece. The man walked us slowly towards her. His footsteps were agile like a beam of light. He was exuding an aura of cold stern nobility and authority. He stood beside the chaffeur, casting a look at her with his lips tightly pursed. Her big bear eyes shone with light as her gaze travelled over his body. His broad forehead, straight nose and sharply curved crimson lips.His black eyes shone like that of a hawk in the night. He exuded a domineering aura of a world shaking king. Any man will feel uncomfortable being cease by a woman gaze, but this man didn't feel anything, neither did he give any reaction. His face was expressionless.

"Third young master".

"What is going on here". His voice was cold and magnetic with an unquestionable dominance.

"The young lady dented the car and she doesn't have money to pay back."

The young master has been in a e-conference meeting.

"Get the lawyer contacted". He said.

What? xinyi felt like she was doused with cold water. She immediately bolted up from the floor. "Please don't". She looked at the man, pleading with her bear eyes. She knew this man wasn't an ordinary person. Even the air around him had a forbidding iciness. He must be from an aristocratic family. Sigh why hasn't she ever heard of such an demigod existence before.

Xinyi felt heartbroken that the man didn't even glance a second at her. "If she can't pay back, get my lawyer contacted. He will settle it with her". The man said to the chaffeur.

"Yes, third young master". The middle aged man took out his phone. Knowing what he is able to do, xinyi shouted "I will pay back, please don't contact lawyer".

"What will you pay back". to chaffeur asked.

"I don't have the whole money now, I will pay you for all my lifetime,every month". The middle aged man looked at his boss for approval.

The man made a subtle nod.

"It is settled then, anytime you failed to pay back,we will not hesitate to contact lawyer".

"Thank you so much"xinyi almost kowtow again. The man turned back and walked to the car. "Hey, wait"xinyi ran to him.

The man raised his eyebrows at her. Standing before that handsome face again, xinyi felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach.

"C.. can I add you on wechat". Her voice sounded so sweet and melodious. Her little face flushed. The man pursed his lips slightly. Looking at his crimson and thin lips, xinyi thought 'what would it be like to be kissed by him. Would he be tender and giving or passionate and demanding.' the thought made her feel reckless and wild.

The middle aged man walked up to her "here, please". The middle aged man handed his phone to her. Xinyi felt disappointed,it was so clear that the man didn't want to be added. Xinyi reluctantly added the chaffeur. The man has already disappear from her sight. She sighed and walked to her car.

Chen xinyi tried starting the car, but it's seem luck wasn't on her side today. The car refuse to start.

Poor xinyi, she was frustrated beyond anything. She has already miss the time for the interview but she was still determined to go, even though she might not be interviewed again. After struggling with the car for many times, she quickly call for a car mechanic, told him the plate number and her location. It will be too late if she wait for the man to come, so xinyi decided to go without her car since the location of the company wasn't too far from where she is. At least it will only twenty kilometers to get there if she run.

The morning sun beat down on her mildly, adding to the cool breeze. Her long hairs got loose, some sticking to her face and flying in the air. Chen xinyi didn't even stop to catch a breath.

She was sweating profusely and panting when she got to the gate. Her hair was disheveled and her light make-up was already a mess. "How may I help you?".

The woman at the reception asked.

"I'm Chen xinyi, I'm here for the interview".

The receptionist looked at her in disdain. Chen xinyi felt uncomfortable as the woman look at her from head to toe with disdainful gaze.

Is this how workers in LZ group behave. She thought.

"The interview has ended, you can get out".

Xinyi felt annoyed by her tone but she decided to keep her emotions in check.

"Can I see the manager?"

"No, just leave. The manager wouldn't see you". The woman retorted. Xinyi was astonished. Did she offend this woman in her past life. She couldn't understand why the woman was so unkind to her without reason. "Is this how a receptionist should treat visitors. If that the case, then I suppose you are unfit for this post".Chen xinyi couldn't keep calm anymore. Because she came seeking for job doesn't mean she should be insulted by any one.

The woman face twisted in rage"you are so sharp tongued, don't you dare speak ill of our company and cause a ruckus here".

"Then let me see the manager".

"Who do you think you are to see the manager. I suggest you walk out gently or the guards will kick you out". The woman said.

"You can try it". Xinyi said curtly.

The woman felt angry that she was been challenged.

"You...".

"What is going on here". Chen xinyi and the receptionist turned their head to the source of the voice. It was a beautiful woman in her Early thirties. She was dressed in a black suit and five inches black heel.

"Mrs Wang lei, this lady was making a scene right now, claiming she wants to see the manager." Wang lei look at xinyi and ask"who are you?".

"Hello, I'm chen xinyi. I was supposed to have an interview today."

Mrs Wang lei face lit up"you are miss Chen xinyi,why are you late".

"I'm sorry I had an accident on my way". Chen xinyi explained. Wang Lei nodded, seeing her disheveled appearance. She knew she will be saying the truth.

"Oh that's too bad. It's good you are ok. Follow me the manager have been waiting for you".

The receptionist was dumbstruck. Who is that woman, since she has been working in the front desk, she has never seen the company considered an interviewee excuse for lateness.

Chen xinyi followed the woman quietly at the back. They entered the lift to the thirteen floor. The LZ company is a very big company. It's one of the biggest business company in Xi'an city. The CEO of the company is rumoured to be a mysterious man and hardly show his appearance in public. The company building has twenty floor.

The twenty floor is the CEO office and is highly restricted from entry.

"Mr Qin, miss Chen xinyi is here". Wang Lei announced as they stepped in side the office.

"Good morning sir". Xinyi bowed in respect. The manager Mr Qin happened to be a middle aged man with beard.

"Sit down". Mr Qin said and turned to face her.

Chen xinyi obediently sat down where he pointed. "Our company doesn't accept incompetent People, but when I went through your credentials. I decided to pick you." The manager Mr Qin said.

Chen xinyi couldn't believe her heard. After everything, she still got the job. She was happy beyond anything.

"Thank you Mr Qin".

"I hope you won't disappoint me".

"Not at all"xinyi vowed and the man smiled.

"Well then"Mr Qin stood up, went to his drawer and pull out a book

"Think is the company rules book, I will give you tomorrow to familiarize yourself. When you come next day you will know your post". Chen xinyi collected the book from him while thanking him profusely.

"You can go".

Chen xinyi walked out of the office, with a myriad of emotion. She was happy, surprised,sad, angry and frustrated.

She didn't even know her stance.

The car was already fixed so xinyi just transfer the money to the mechanic and went home.

"How was it, did you pass the interview". Wan lili came out of the room. Chen xinyi Walk in sluggishly.

She almost collapse on the floor if wan lili didn't caught her.

"Hey, be careful. That's not the couch". The two of them usually have the habit of flopping down on the couch when they have just come back from outside or when they are tired.

"What's wrong with you?" Wan lili asked curiously.

"I made the interview".

"That's great, I knew you will make it". she exclaimed happily.

Chen xinyi looked at her best friend and felt like crying.

"Yeah, I never believe I will be taken".

"Ok, but why are you not happy".

"If I tell you I'm doomed, will you believe". Xinyi murmured.

Lili was astound. Obviously she wouldn't believe it.

"What happened?".

Wan lili held her hands.

Chen xinyi sighed and narrated the whole morning drama to her.

"What, three million yuan. Damn that fucking man, was he looking for trouble driving a sixteen million dollars car on the road".

Wan lili retorted angrily. Even Chen xinyi was perplexed by her reaction. ' wasn't car supposed to be driven on the road".

"What are you going to do now. Don't tell me you agreed to pay for the damage".

Chen xinyi nod to her question.

"Damn, can you see he is clearly looking for trouble, I bet it wasn't all an accident".

"Really, you mean he planned it".

"Exactly". Lili replied.

"But....". Thinking of that man, Chen xinyi didn't believe he did it. It was her car that clearly hit his car. Beside he doesn't seem like that kind of person. Chen xinyi knows the man must be really wealthy. The air around him smell of wealth and authority. "Hey, what if the car is fake. I mean it being not be the real Bugatti la voiture noire car. I have never heard of someone driving such an expensive car".

"No way, the car is the limited edition Bugatti, I swear. Don't worry Lili, I already got a job now I will be able it pay back".

"Sigh, what if you can't pay back".

"Let wait till we reach the end of the bridge before we cross".

Xinyi said.

"Alright"wan lili stood up"regardless of that,we still need to celebrate that you got the job. Come on freshen up and join me in the kitchen".

"What are we cooking".

"Hot pot". Lili whispered.

Xinyi eyes instantly lit up"oh, you are lovely."

The phone buzzed at the moment. It turns out to be notification of a new message on WeChat. The message said ' meet me at the new western restaurant 10 o'clock prompt tomorrow morning' it was from the chaffeur she added on WeChat today.

"Lili,he just said I should meet him tomorrow".

"Did he say you should come alone?".

"No".

"Great,we will go together".

The next morning

After breakfast, the duo went to the room to dress up. " What do you think he want to see me for".

"I don't know, probably wants to

scam you again with money" Gu  baobei answer.

Xinyi paused and turned around to face her "you still don't believe what I said yesterday,huh?"

"I still think you were dumb to just get fool like that"

Xinyi swung the satchel over her shoulder " fine, let's forget about it for now".

An hour later

" We are getting off here " baobei said to the taxi man.

After the man parked, they got out and xinyi paid for the fare.

The man handed the change to her but xinyi refused, she pushed the money in to his hand, mouthing that he should keep the change.

Baobei shook his head as she witness their little action.

" What planet are you from?"

"Huh!!!" Xinyi caught up with her friend who was already walking away

"You are getting too generous".

Xinyi smiled and puff up her cheek.

'that wasn't a compliment ' baobei thought.

They entered the restaurant, xinyi couldn't see the people she was expecting.

"What's wrong".

"I can't find them".

" Call him, asked about his location" baobei suggested.

"Ok but let go outside first".

Outside xinyi tried contacting the driver but it didn't go through.

"Do you think this is another trick". Xinyi turned and ask baobei.

"I... Baobei attention got distracted "hey yiyi check out that car coming through way". She tap xinyi who also look at the direction she looking at.

"Cool" another expensive car, luckily I'm not driving today . Xinyi mind drifted to the handsome man she saw yesterday.

" Isn't that the limited edition car worth of 18. 5 million US dollars. Hey what's the name again?" Baobei kept tugging at xinyi sleeve to get her attention.

" Pagani zonda HP barchetta".

"Yeah my dream car" baobei held her burning cheek.

Soon the car halt, a young man got out from the driver seat. He walked over to the back seat and open the door wide.

Xinyi watched in awe as the handsome face that has been tormenting her since yesterday finally came to her view.

" Argh, so hot and sexy"

She said aloud that baobei heard her. She looked at her flushed cheeks and was at a loss of what to do.  Probably the man felt the burning gaze on him and turned to her direction. His eyes happened to meet with hers. Xinyi almost fainted. " He look at her, did you see that, he look at me". Xinyi was practically screaming now. Baobei felt embarrassed as strange gaze were shooting at their direction. She forcefully tugged her down and cover her mouth.

"That's enough, get a hold of yourself chen xinyi".

Xinyi got back her rationality.

"I'm sorry, I just couldn't control it" she realized her BF was truly angry. " Is that the man you were talking about"

" Yeah but I can't see the middle aged man of yesterday".

"It's doesn't matter, leave the case to me. I know how to handle it".

They walked up to the car where the man was leaning against it.

"Hi, I believe you guys already know each other, you invited us to come to this restaurant by this exact time" she showed the message send by the driver" but you are 10 minutes late". Baobei glanced at her wristwatch and glanced back at the good-looking young man standing beside him who happens to be his assistant"

" We are sorry miss... "

" Gu baobei" baobei help him out.

" Nice to meet you, I'm Bai yang"

He extended hands for a handshake.

" Can I add you on we chat" baobei ask and the young man agreed. Xinyi became speechless. " What are you doing, is that still part of the plan". Xinyi whispered to her ear. Baobei gave her a reassuring smile. xinyi became more confused, why does it look like she has just help baobei to find a dating partner. She could helplessly look at the handsome man who shown  no reaction.

'Ahh I'm doomed ' xinyi lament silently.

" Hi,I'm chen xinyi, what's your name". she decided to follow her friend pattern

The guy looked at her for a fleeting second and said in a low tone " let go inside, the lawyer is waiting".

"Huh lawyer? She looked at him incredulously. The guy paid her no further attention and walk out.

" Baobao, did you hear that".

"Yeah, I did. Why are you still standing here". Baobei dragged her along.

A man dressed in a white suit stood up as the guy approached      " welcome young master Li, it's a pleasure to meet you again".

" En" the guy sat down.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting, lawyer An". Assistant yang made the apology.

"It's nothing. I just arrives".

Xinyi and baobei stood at the side. "Young master Li. Who is  he,I have never heard of the surname Li in Xi'an city". Xinyi murmured.

" Young master Li, I have carefully drafted the contract to your request. Please take a look".

" No need" the man said curtly.

His assistant quickly collect it from him to ease the awkwardness. After flipping through it,he gave it to xinyi.

" Miss chen, please sit down and go through it". Xinyi glanced at all the empty seat and purposely sat down on the seat next to him.

Others always took their seat.

Now reading through the contract, xinyi almost died from anger. What's the need of a contract, didn't she say she will pay for the damage. What's with the statement that she must pay up within a year. After what seems like forever, she slowly raise her head "I don't understand anything here, is there any need for a contract"

" Miss chen, everything has to be documented" the assistant answered. Chen xinyi look at the assistant with displeasure. She is asking his boss, not him.

"Hey the one with the surname Li, I'm talking to you. Answer me or can't you talk". Xinyi spoke with clear intentions that she is looking for trouble. The assistant, the lawyer and even her best friend were shocked. The lawyer choke on the water he was about drinking.  " Miss chen, please mind your manners" the assistant spoke up

Xinyi didn't mind the little signal her best friend was sending to her.

Meanwhile the guy she was talking to didn't reveal any slightest expression or reaction.

Xinyi stood up " why do I have a stipulated period to finish the payment. How can I possibly pay up such big money in a year. Huh tell me". Xinyi retorted

" Yiyi, don't be sad, we will pay up but one year is too short. How about five years."

" Yes within five years we will pay up".  Xinyi put her hands together in a pleading manner while looking at him with those puppy eyes.

The man didn't lift an eyelid to her, obviously this man isn't interested in what she has to say " The car is covered by insurance". The young master Li finally said.

Xinyi quickly understood the underlying meaning behind those simple sentence.

Previously she pleaded with him not to involve the insurance company. " Fine I have reduce it to two years".

" Miss chen, sign the contract, it's already drafted and can't be alter." Bai yang notice how the man was impatiently tapping on the table and knew his time is already exhausted here.

Suddenly, the man stood and turn to lawyer An " I believe you know what to do" he spat out those words and walk out.

" Yes, yes, don't worry I will do my work well."

Xinyi didn't have a chance to go after him because the lawyer stopped her and insisted she sign on it or the insurance company will know about it.

Xinyi reluctantly sign the contract.

" Thanks for your cooperation" the lawyer took the signed contract from her and left.

Now the two friends sat facing each other, not knowing what to do.

Inside the car

assistant yang glanced at the calm and composed man sitting cross legged and reading a business newspaper. He couldn't help asking " president Li, do you think miss chen will sign that contract?."

The man glanced at the side of the road." Drive to the company". He said coolly.

"I think I'm..."

_ her stomach made a loud grumbling noise. _

"Applicable to me too" baobei cackle up at their shamelessness.

" So stingy, he didn't even place an order for us". Xinyi hit the empty table with her fist.

" Hey I believe you now, the car isn't fake".

" What's the use, I wish it was fake". Xinyi rub her stomach.

" The menu here is too expensive, yiyi let's go home".

They carried their bag.

Almost out of the restaurant, they heard their name.

"Hey yiyi, baobei".

They saw their ex-classmate entering the restaurant.

They waved back at her

" Hey, the guy beside miaomiao looks familiar like that guy that was dating you in college"

"Yeah that's him".

" how are you baobei, yiyi . You guys are still together".

"Yeah, did you wished us to separate".gu baobei said

" I'm not bother about that. Hey meet my boyfriend  Mai Xiang".

"I know, isn't he yiyi ex".

Miaomiao look turned ugly.

" What's do you mean. He is my boyfriend now". She retorted

" Don't take offense,I was just saying that in passing. He wasn't yiyi type to begin with".

" Baobao, that's too much".  Xinyi whispered to her.

" I want to trash this woman, any problem with that?" Baobei whispered back.

" Hey,I wonder what makes our path to cross today" xinyi uttered.

" Longest time yiyi, how are you doing".

" It's chen xinyi".

Prone to xinyi response, the guy felt embarrassed and slowly redraw his hand back.

" This restaurant is new, I heard it's built by my CEO , so I came to take a look". Miaomiao spoke with pride.

" Where do you work"? Xinyi asked

" Lz corporation, RD department".

" Oh" baobei and xinyi exchanged glance.

" What's about you. This restaurant is super expensive, I'm sure you guys can't afford a meal here".

" You are right. Since you are here,  Why don't you buy meals for us". baobei quickly answer

" Yeah we are hungry". At that moment, her stomach grumble again.

-Blatant disgust - miaomiao smirk.

The duo follow them inside, when the waiter brought the menu, baobei place a lot of order for only her and xinyi.

When the food arrived, the duo didn't bother with etiquette and directly dig into the food, leaving Miaomiao utterly speechless.

" Eat more, you are getting skinny". Suddenly Mai Xiang peeled a shrimp and put it inside xinyi plate. Xinyi ate it while still looking deadpan. Seeing she didn't reject him, he peel another shrimp and drop it inside her plate.

" Bro Xiang, what are you doing".

Miaomiao took the shrimp from xinyi plate and ate it. Xinyi didn't said anything.

" You... Can't you see she is hungry. Don't be callous".

" I can peel the shrimp for her but why do you have to do it. Do you still care so much for her".

"Watch your mouth, Miaomiao"

" Why, she doesn't love you anymore. Can't you just concentrate on me?"

Baobei heard their bickering   and laughed out loud. After eating to their satisfaction, they wiped their mouth and stood up.

" Thanks for the meal today. Next time we'll return the favor" xinyi said.

" Mr Mai, please take care of your girlfriend."baobei added.

They bade farewell and left, leaving a huge bills for them to pay up.

Inside the taxi, going back home

Baobei snorted " so shameless, she actually have the gut to show up at us, despite all what she did back then."

" Are you talking about miaomiao?".

" En, wasn't she the cause of your breakup with ma Xiang."

" Right, it's a good thing they are together now".

Gu baobei suddenly shook her head and say" Yiyi, I really pity".

you".  Xinyi look at her in a confused state " why?"

" Ugh your love rival is also your work rival." She thumbs up.

" Well I guess so." Xinyi scratch her head awkwardly.

" Hey, aren't you starting work tomorrow?"baobei put down her phone and shift closer to her.

Xinyi nodded.

" Have you done research?"

" No, I haven't even study the document of conducts.   -sigh-You know what"  she took baobei hand and place it on her palm.

"Help me scourge for information about this company, while I will do the rest".

" What will be my reward?"

"Don't worry, I will treat you to your favorite meal". Xinyi said.

" Deal " they shook hands together and baobei smiled.
