Zara POV
Haha! ,my parents and my brothers laughed at the table. They were celebrating my brother Lucas because he won an Oscar award. My parents celebrated this success in Singapore at the DUO Tower.
"Congrats, Lucas," I said ."Thanks, Zara," he responded ."Zara, I heard you were able to secure the 150 million contract with the Wilsons." "Yes, Ethan."I did, but you know it wasn't easy.." I know that why I'm congratulating you," he cut off . I kept quiet because this was not the first time he did this. Oh, and not just him but everyone in the family, well except Gregory he's my favourite and the one I'm closest to .
" And where's is Damien?" My dad asked
turning his head to mom ." He's just out to make a call" Mom responded tapping endlessly on her phone, mom actually looked beautiful tonight she wore her customed made Versace gown that stopped to her knees with a Jimmy Choo heels paired with Hermes bag . Mom is always dressed to the fullest. I mean, she's Cassandra Quin, the wife of Nathaniel Quin, so I'm not surprised. For my dad, he wore his suit paired with his Armani shoes with his roles watch same applis to my brothers, well, except for Gregory. He barely wears a suit he just wore a black hoodie with paired trousers and his black shoes . I on the other hand wore a fitted wore a fitted straight burgundy dress from my favourite brand Oh Polly with with a four inches heels my hair held to a high ponytail with a few strands I didn't apply and makeup but just a mascara and a lip balm.
A few minutes later, Damien arrived, and we started ordering our food. dad ordered an oyster with Beluga Caviar – fresh oysters on ice, topped with a spoon of rare Beluga caviar paired with Dom Pérignon Champagne Mum also ordered Foie Gras Terrine with Truffle Shavings .Rich goose liver pâté served with toasted brioche and black/white truffle with: Sauternes Wine (Château d’Yquem). Damien simply ordered Pyytipanu with a champagne, Lucas had already eaten and wanted something light he ordered fruit salad. Ethan ordered the same as mom and Gregory order omelette rice. I, on the other hand, was undecided, so I just went in for a well-done steak with a low alcohol wine...... In 2o minutes, our food came, and we ate in silence. we had a little chit and got ready to leave . Outside the hotel, we waited for our ride, but Ethan left with Damien and Lucas to celebrate Gregory, and I were too tired, so we joined mom and dad in the car .

I have four siblings, and I'm the last child of Nathaniel Quin and Cassandra Quin. And my siblings..... To be continued.....
After Zara came downstairs, Cassandra asked if she had any plans for the weekend. Remembering her quiet, uneventful life, Zara simply replied, “No.” Gregory soon went out, leaving the two women alone. That was when Cassandra invited Zara to join her on a trip to the shopping mall to look for gowns and accessories for the upcoming Lancaster Ball.
They left the house in a sleek Cadillac and headed to a designer’s studio. Inside, various dress samples were displayed. Cassandra, known for her sense of fashion, immediately caught the designer’s attention. He brought out a rare vintage fabric crafted in China decades ago. The moment Cassandra saw it, her eyes lit up. She eagerly told the designer that she wanted a dress made from that fabric.
When it was Zara’s turn, the designer presented her with a striking gown. It was a straight, pink dress made with frosted Swarovski diamonds. The gown featured a deep V-neckline that revealed a daring amount of cleavage, with a plunging cut that extended down toward her lower stomach. The glittering pink crystals shimmered across the fabric, making it both elegant and bold.
Once they had chosen their gowns, the designer also showed them jewellery, shoes, and other accessories to complete their looks. After finishing up, Cassandra and Zara left for a luxurious spa, where they indulged in a skincare treatment. While they relaxed, Cassandra continued chatting with the designer about the details of their upcoming looks.
After they were done, Cassandra took Zara out to a five-star restaurant. The choice itself was unusual because Cassandra had never invited Zara out like this before. All the way there, Zara couldn’t help but feel suspicious. It wasn’t Cassandra’s style to spend the day with her, let alone accompany her to pick out dresses.
At one point, Zara—being as straightforward as she was—asked her mother about it. Cassandra brushed it off with a light laugh, saying only, “Isn’t that what mothers and daughters do?” Zara didn’t press the matter further, though a part of her still wondered why.
By late afternoon, around three or four o’clock, Zara returned home. Everyone was there—Damien, Lucas, and Ethan. Their father, however, was away in the New Netherlands, visiting a family member. The sitting room buzzed with energy, the brothers discussing their special designers and future projects.
Just then, Zara’s phone rang. It was her assistant, Zoe.
“Hello?” Zara answered.
“Miss, we have a problem,” Zoe’s voice was sharp, urgent.
Zara frowned. “What is it?”
“The shipment—the swimsuits meant to arrive tomorrow—they’ve been delayed because of the weather conditions.”
Zara sat back, her brows knitting together. This was supposed to be a major highlight of the upcoming fashion show. “That’s going to affect everything,” she muttered.
But Zoe was quick to reassure her. “No, Miss. It won’t affect the show. We can work around it.”
Zara exhaled, a little tension easing from her shoulders. “Alright. I’ll see what I can do on my end. Keep me updated.” Zara sighed . Zara took a shower after a long day and texted Zoe to book a nail appointment, She still felt suspicious as to why Cassandra invited her for shopping. The Lancaster Ball is on Thursday. Hence, she has a lot of time since she's on weekend
Ethan POV
After a long night of celebrating my brothers success, we decided to pin some hooes down. Damien being a regular customer, we had access to the finnest girls .Lucas, the peverted cow, took two blonde girls . I, on the other hand, didn't want to, but I remembered the stress I had been through back at home and at work I just wanted to burn some steam I called Damien a couple of times but it looked as if bro was in his on world . I followed his gaze and realised he had his eyes on a girl dancing and twirling her body, gaining the attention of not only Damien but other guys also. I tapped him, letting him know that I'm leaving he just nodded and still looked at the lady DAMN ,girl had my man wrapped around a fingers
From the railing, Damien watched the girl break away from her group, her laughter fading into the crowd as she slipped toward the exit. His jaw tightened. She had noticed him—of that he was certain—but instead of staying, she left. Interesting.
He lifted a hand, a subtle signal. One of his men at the edge of the VIP moved without a word, blending into the crowd to trail her. Damien stayed where he was, patient, sipping from his glass.
Minutes ticked by, music pounding through the club, Lucas’s laughter echoing somewhere behind him. Then his phone buzzed. A message. She’s on the move. Heading east.
Damien’s lips curved into the faintest smile. He straightened, rolling the tension out of his shoulders. Tonight wasn’t over. Not yet.
Within half an hour, another call came through—this time, the exact location. A quiet street. A bar tucked away from the chaos.
Damien slipped out of the VIP section, the heavy bass of the club fading behind him as he stepped into the night. His men fell into place, silent shadows at his back. And with each step closer to her, the pull only grew stronger.
I pulled at the address, I told my men to give me space because i didn't want to scare her I walked to her apartment and knocked on her door she opened the door and I could tell she was shocked to see me at her door. "Who are you, and why are you stalking me?" she asked ,I could tell she was trying hard not to feel terrified, but she did. "First of all, I'm not stalking you .Why? Because something about you refuses to let me look away. If that bothers you, tell me to leave… but I don’t think you will."
. She looked at him, gulping in saliva nervously she was about to respond when she found some of the neighbours stealing glances at her. She opened her door for him and closed it. I took a god look at her apartment and realised it was too small and it was half the size of his closet or maybe less. "Who are you?" she asked, breaking the silence . "Hmm, you sound right," I teased. "I'm not , I have to know the name of my stalker at least," she
responded. "Damien "was all I said. Damien, she mentioned my name again and again. I don't, but I like the sound of my name from her mouth. "Won't you tell me yours?
"Umm Clarisse ". Then silence he could tell he wasn't comfortable with it he was about to speak when a knock came on the door it was a friend of Clarisse holding a baby maybe seven months or eight .
Clarisse took the baby from her and her goodbye . I stood the watching, putting the baby to sleep. I asked how old he was and she said eight , I.wanted to ask who the dad was and wanted if he was in their life but I observed her room and facial expression that he wasn't but still needed clarification before I got his hopes high
she needed her privacy, and I knew i made her uncomfortable, so I gave her my business card to meet me tomorrow.
