Atlas City is the capital of the planet nebula . After the pollution on earth damaged the planet, the humans lived on the planet nebula 2 centuries ago.

The planet was not livable at first so for 20 years of floating on the planet's atmosphere, the scientists found a way for a human to live on the planet. They planted trees on the planet in which they grew into a large forest after 5 years. The people lived in the forest that provides oxygen until their bodies adjusted to the planet's environment.

This adaptation included the change in the humans genetics. They developed abilities and new genders. These genders are Alpha, Beta and omega. Alphas are dominant people that have various abilities, Betas are normal people with stronger physical traits while Omegas are weaker but have high fertility. Omegas can help calm Alphas to prevent them from going berserk. The population is 35% alpha, 45% beta and 20% omega. This led omegas to be treasured.

5 days ago, Nolan Smith, a male omega from a mediocre family got accepted in the famous Altier Academy, in which it is famous for its elite students mostly from high statuses. Nolan got in through a scholarship and today is his First day.

"Nolan!!"

A cry from behind called out to him. Nolan turned around and saw his friend Carl, he has chestnut colored hair, fair skin, yellow eyes and cute dimples on the sides of his cheek making him look cute and lovable.

Carl is his childhood friend, Carl's family were well off and has a vacation house which is near their own house. Since there were no kids their age in the neighborhood, they got along with each other well and have always been together since which led to Carl's family to live on the vacation house officially.

" It's the first day of school, are you excited??", Carl asked in which Nolan replied in a quiet sound of affirmation, " um!". As Carl chatted beside him, he noticed that he seemed out of place, the students were all stunning and dazzling.

When they adapted to the planet, the human features have evolved too. They developed different colors of hair and eyes where the beauty standards are those who have such features.

In contrast to these people, Nolan, has an oval face, clear skin with freckles on his nose bridge and cheeks, ebony black hair and black eyes which were covered by his hair. He is considered as one of those that retained the features of the ancient earth and is considered a mediocre face.

His parents who have different features didn't doubt that he was their son, they believe it was because their only son took after his grandmother who has the same features as him.

Despite feeling the awkward way of people staring at him, Nolan found that there are also some people with the same features as him at the school which made him feel relieved.

"What's wrong Nolan??"

"I think everyone was staring at us because a person like you is hanging out with someone like me."

" Is this about the feature thing again?? I'll tell you over and over again, I don't care about them. You are my friend so I am gonna hang out with you", with that response Carl grabbed Nolan's arm and dragged him while skipping towards the bulletin board to check their assigned rooms.

"Yes!! We're in the same classroom"

"Yeah"

They went to the classroom and took their seats next to each other. The class officially started when the teacher arrived. They introduced themselves and proceeded with the introduction of the school's structure.

The school was divided into 3 dorms and buildings. From the gate there were 3 paths, left for the Omegas, center for the Betas and right for the Alphas. Each gender has different courses to take so the academy was built this way but to improve the interaction of the students despite the difference in genders, the cafeteria is in the center of the academy. The teacher explained the rules and started the lesson. Like this, 3 months have passed.

"I heard that today is THE day!!"

"The... Day???"

Carl and Nolan were on their way to the clinic to deliver medical supplies as instructed by their teacher when Carl told Nolan about the recent gossip.

"They said today is the day that the Bond association would come", The bond association facilitates the bond between the genders and helps them find their match.

"In the academy??? Why??"

"You seriously need to keep up with the news, Nolan"

Carl explained to Nolan," A certain day of every 3 months, they visit to test the compatibility of the Alphas that don't have a partner with those of the Betas and omegas.... but they do it first with the students in this school...this means that we all get to have a shot!!!".

He giggles in excitement when Nolan replies, " But wouldn't it be better if the alpha chooses for himself?? And the same tattoo appears on the suitable pair that reaches the compatibility of 90% or more but that requires them to be at a certain distance with each other, right??".

" That's why, the alphas would first follow their gut feeling and see if their possible pair is on the crowd, if not, then the bond association will proceed with the test." Carl said as he put the box down on the table of the clinic.

"oh...."

" Maybe we will meet our prince charming or princess charming today", Carl skips away.

"Hah..."

Nolan sighed as he watched the back of his daydreaming friend and followed him.

In the middle of English class, the speaker issued an announcement," Students, Please proceed to the Auditorium, I repeat please proceed to the auditorium immediately. Beep---".

"I told you so, come on", Carl urges Nolan.

They went to the auditorium which was full of people in a short time. Everyone was excited, it was easy to find Betas and some omegas in the school, but Alphas are rarely seen because they frequently have practical lessons outside or were on duty on the National defense to build their strength and experience.

He slowly made his way near Nolan and whispered,"me too".

They looked at each other and laughed.

"Welcome students!!"

"It's starting", Carl exclaimed.

They both focused their attention on the stage.

" There are 15 alphas that are willing to determine the compatibility rate with you. Let's welcome them".

All the students looked simultaneously on the door as the alphas slowly made their way to the stage. They carried an intimidating aura and have different types of charm.

"Ahhh!!!!" Carl screamed while slapping Nolan's shoulder.

" Ouch...What??"

"That guy with the red hair and green eyes, he's so my type", Carl fixed his gaze on the alpha.

" Okay... I get it, just don't hit me", Nolan faced the stage and looked at it with anticipation. Who wouldn't be excited to see your prospective partner? As they grew up as an omega who has great dependability on their alpha, they all longed to be treasured and adored so when this chance came, everyone was equally excited.

"Hey, Leon, I thought Ceil came back from the expedition, she's your friend, did she come with you??", the female alpha asked the red haired and green-eyed Leon.

"She came with me, I'm sure she's just somewhere around here", he replied while turning his head looking for his friend.

He spotted her on the back of the students which, coincidentally, were Nolan and Carl. He waved his hand in which she responded with a nod.

"Ahhh!! He waved at me!! I might faint, Nolan, catch me", Carl thought Leon was waving at him which caused him to squeal while this act was clearly heard by Ceil who found it amusing. Nolan tried to calm his friend down to no avail.

The alphas were granted the permission to roam around one by one to find their possible partners and if they don't, the compatibility test would be executed. When it was Leon's turn, he wandered around, trusting his instincts as an alpha. He slowly approaches Nolan and Carl's seat.

"He's coming here... could it be me???",Carl looked at the alpha in anticipation, only to be disappointed because Leon walked past him.

"I think it was around here...",Leon walked a few steps away from the two when he stopped, 'Wait , this is different, I feel being drawn to a certain place', thinking this, he walked back and stopped behind Carl.

" Ah... The prince charming was taken by someone else, Nolan, comfort your brokenhearted friend", Leon heard Carl and couldn't stop the corner of his lips from raising.

"I feel strangely nervous and excited, Nolan. Could it be a side effect of a broken heart???" Carl acted cute with Nolan in which made his friend roll his eyes. Carl complained, "Won't you comfort me??"

"Why don't I comfort you instead??" Leon's voice sounded from behind Carl, while his breath brushed on his neck causing him to have goosebumps.

He turned around and saw Leon smiling at him as the alpha held out his hand to him. Carl held the hand in a daze, only to wake up when he was already brought to the stage with his hand entangled with the alpha's large hand.

Seeing his chatterbox of a friend turned meek as a mouse beside his crush, Nolan chuckled.

He lifted his head to notice a Male alpha walking his way towards him. He held his breath in anticipation and fixed his eyes on the alpha. The alpha stopped in front of him but turned to the person next to him. Nolan was disappointed and lowered his head knowing that that was the last alpha.

Behind him, Ceil watched as her friend chose his own omega. Suddenly, some people started to push her from behind.

They moved forward because some under aged betas and omegas were squeezing in to watch the show. Ceil was pushed forward as she felt a stinging sensation from her neck.

The pain immediately subsided as she realized that she was holding the back of the chair of a person which was Nolan, to prevent herself from losing her balance.

Nolan, who was downcast felt the stinging sensation on his neck and it faded immediately which is why he dismissed it.

As soon as the event ended, Ceil left to attend to her duties. Nolan went to the stage to meet his friend that was shyly chatting with his own alpha.

"Let's go, Carl, we need to get back to our own dorm, too", Nolan said to Carl.

"I would like to talk to you more, but I am afraid I have to go", Carl reluctantly said to the Alpha.

"No worries, I would like to walk you back as well but Alphas are prohibited from going to your dorm, how about I walk you back to the entrance??", Leon proposed.

"That would be great!!, What do you think, Nolan??", Carl pleaded his friend with his eyes.

"Okay... as long as you're happy", Nolan agreed helplessly.

"Yay!!"

Carl hooked both his arm on them, Leon on the right and Nolan on the left.

Carl was enjoying the envious faces of the other omegas and betas in which Nolan found it amusing.

Leon walked them up to the entrance of the dorm and watched them enter before going back on his own dorm.

Carl flopped on the bed while kicking his legs and squealing.

"Not over the excitement, yet??", Nolan playfully asked.

"No, whenever I remember what happened a while ago, I feel embarrassed...", Carl held his face shyly.

"And...??", Nolan teasingly added.

"And so happy!!! Hahaha, it was so romantic…" Carl gazed at the ceiling.

"Good for you", Nolan absentmindedly replied.

"Oh... Are you okay??", Carl sat up realizing that his friend was down because his destined alpha was not there.

" I-I'm okay... Maybe.. it's not time yet...", Nolan smiled at him.

"I'm sorry, Nolan. Come here", Carl hugged Nolan and gently patted his back consoling him.

A few minutes of hugging Nolan pushed Carl gently.

"Okay, it's time to sleep, we gotta change, you take a bath first ", as he pushes Carl into the bathroom.
