Now, let's get started!
It was like any other day behind Wall Rose.
Life went on as if the Titans were only a distant rumor. Farmers worked their fields, merchants shouted in busy markets, and children chased each other through narrow stone streets.
The Garrison lounged near taverns, drinking away the afternoon, while families shared simple meals of bread and potatoes without a thought of danger.
Most believed the Walls would protect them forever, their lives unfolding in a steady rhythm of work, trade, and small joys.
There was no panic, no sense of urgency—only the quiet illusion of safety, just before everything changed.
The bells rang. Whispers spread first through the markets, carried by trembling voices: Wall Maria had fallen.
Y/N, who was sitting on the roof of their house for her "relax" time didn't seem to catch a break from her brother's constant nagging, even now.
Her brother, Cedric, had apparently climbed the ladder that led to the roof urgently, like an idiot, almost falling.
This made Y/N hold back a snort as he soon sat next to her, the bricks shifting slightly beneath them.
She asked, raising an eyebrow at how he was acting.
Cedric
By the Walls, Y/N! Don't you know?!
His words came out sharp and a bit shaky.
Y/N
Know what? *she asked, nonchalantly.*
Cedric
Maria! Walls! I-It was destroyed!
Y/N
Very funny. *she scoffed, rolling her eyes.*
Cedric
No! No, I'm not! Wall Maria was destroyed by Titans!
Y/N
*her head snapped towards his direction* What?
Cedric
It's the talk of town! Everyone's terrified. There are talks that the titans will reach us!
Y/N was still processing Cedric's earlier words.
*Wall Maria…destroyed? How? Wasn't supposed to protect everyone from Titans? Wasn't it built for that purpose?*
When Cedric kept babbling about rumors of the titans reaching them, she just snapped.
Y/N
Cedric! We don't know anything yet for sure. We should check what's really going on first.
Y/N reached for the ladder as she climbed down.
Y/N
And stop believing people's nonsense. *she hissed under her breath as she reached the floor.*
Y/N and Cedric indeed made their ways to town, and it was *flooded* with people.
Wagons creaked through the gates, overflowing with frightened faces and the little they had managed to carry.
Children cried from hunger, their clothes torn and dust-stained, while parents clutched them close, eyes wide with shock.
Citizens of Wall Rose gathered to watch in silence, whispers cutting through the air like blades—“Wall Maria has fallen…”
The L/N siblings watched in shock as chaos unfolded in front of their eyes. This sight was unusual for both of them. For everyone who lived behind Wall Rose.
Cedric tried to cover Y/N's eyes when they witnessed injured carried in the wagons, but she just slapped his hand away.

This can't be real. *she whispered under her breath.*
Cedric
There's a lot of people. We'll barely fit in here now.
The refugees meant more mouths to feed, more hands grasping for already scarce resources.
The Garrison struggled to keep order, shouting commands as lines of desperate people pressed into the districts.
For those who had lived their entire lives believing the Walls were unbreakable, the sight was almost too much to believe.
Wall Maria had fallen, and the nightmare they thought impossible had come crashing to their gates.
