The conference room was filled with people of high society talking about politics , glasses clinking together and ladies dressed with elegance .

Catherine our protagonist disliked such events but had no choice but to go there anyways.

Ever since she could remember, she had always been hated by her family simply because she was the cause of her mother’s death.

Her father always referred to her as a wretch , to him Catherine was a mere object he could dispose of at anytime .

She was tired of her father being so controlling and neglecting.

All she wanted was for her father to be proud of her as he was proud of her two older brothers Alexander and Caesar.

Those two were at the top of their classes at Eden College.

They had become imperial scholars and people could not even believe Catherine was related to them as she was not quite a brilliant girl but she had her own unique quirks .

She wrote beautiful poems and she was an instrumentalist.

But, in the eyes of her Father and brothers it was all simply just trash .

She was disturbed from her deep thinking as a cold voice cut through the air .

She turned around to see her father looking at her with disgust.

" I just won the election and I shall ascend to my seat in parliament as Duke , so lady Catherine try not to embarrass either I or your brothers understood ".

She responded by saying yes sir and nodded.

These political roles had run through their family for ages .

Her grandmother was a dutches in a country in the west and before her father his father ,

Sir Gordon Tyrell had been Duke of Arlington heights and through out the history of this county the Tyrell family had reigned supreme

having total control over other families and the system.

She looked up at her father and brothers with a forceful smile and got up walking towards the stage of the ballroom to give their thanks to the people and members of parliament.

The night had ended quickly .

As soon as they got to the Tyrell manor , Catherine was dismissed to leave to her quarters right away .

She left without saying a word and wished her family good night .

“ Why mother and not me ?" , she asked herself while she sat in front of her bedroom mirror while crying .

She tried always not to sound ungreatful for what she had , but all she ever wanted was a loving family and not for a neglective one .

She wiped all her tears and told herself to stay strong for every damsel in distress had a knight .

She had been starting to doubt wether or not her knight would come for her and save her from her torment .

In the blink of an eye she had fallen asleep still in her gown drenched in sweat and tears .

" Cathy , Cathy ", a soft voice called out to her and it sounded like her mother .

She woke up only to realize it was morning and not just any other morning it was that morning …….

Eden College’s Orientation day to mark a new start of a trimester .

Eden College was a school for the best of the best , Children of the elite only .

Catherine quickly took of her gown and bolted to her bath quarters .

Luckily for her she had finished in time to select some classy yet elegant to wear for her first day of school .

When she finally got down , she was shocked to see bother her brothers having breakfast downstairs.

"As lazy as usual lady Catherine Odette Tyrell ", Caesar’s voice cold yet teasing.

Alexander spoke up also , " our baby sister has always been not only a bane but a lazy pig as well ".

Both boys grinned widely completely crushing their sister’s morning joy .

She held her books tightly to her chest slightly glaring at both brothers .

She sat on a chair opposite two chairs of her brothers .

After breakfast , their father had called through the telephone to speak to his children for he was on a business trip .

The butler played the message loudly .

” I’m sorry boys I can’t be there for orientation day , I’ll make it up to you . And boys try your best and also if you meet your sister in the dining hall tell her to also have a good day and not to embarrass herself .

An hour after hearing that mail though the telephone they had arrived at the heart of to school.
