William had always been drawn to Becky's bright smile and infectious laugh. As a high school student, he found himself daydreaming about her in class, wondering what it would be like to be more than just friends. April was thrilled to see Becky laughing and smiling, and took it as a sign that she was making progress. She started to make more overtures towards Becky, touching her arm and whispering in her ear. Becky, while enjoying the attention, started to feel uncomfortable. She didn't know if she was ready to date anyone, let alone April.

Jay, on the other hand, was trying to move on from his confession. He knew that William needed time to process his feelings, and he respected that. He focused on his schoolwork and extracurricular activities, trying to distract himself from his emotions.

William smiled weakly, grateful for Rose's concern.
