The first stare
The grand Lotus Hotel ballroom. Crystal chandeliers. Silk suits. Whispered deals. Champagne in hand, Taehyung scans the glittering crowd.

Someone leans too close to Taehyung, whispering in his ear. Jungkook's jaw tightens. He downs his whiskey in one sharp swallow.
Three long strides. Jungkook stops right beside Taehyung, invading his space.

"After The Lights Dim"
The gala had ended, but the night wasn't over. The private after party on the 30th floor was alive with low jazz, expensive laughter, and the scent of aged whiskey. Taehyung excused himself from a group of socialist, slipping out onto the balcony.

The city glittered beneath him, skyscrapers blinking against the night sky. The chill breeze teased the strands of his perfectly styled hair. He closed his eyes .......only to hear the sound of deliberate footsteps behind him.

Taehyung opened his eyes to see Jungkook leaning against the door frame, jacket gone, sleeves rolled to reveal strong forearms. The loosened tie made him look dangerously relaxed.

Jungkook moved closer, one hand bracing on the balcony railing beside Taehyung's hip, the other holding his whiskey glass loosely. His eyes were dark, fixed on Taehyung as if he were the only thing in the world worth seeing.

The words sent a Spark down Taehyung's spine. His usual smirk wavered for just a moment before returning, lips curling in challenge.

Their eyes locked, neither breaking the stare. Jungkook leaned in, so close Taehyung could feel the heat from his body, the scent of cedarwood wrapping around him. For a moment, the world felt like it had shrunk to this balcony.

(eyes flickering toward Jungkook) " he's staring like you're the last thing keeping him alive. Don't vanish with him tonight."
(Suddenly.. warm fingers press against Taehyung's lower back🔥. A deep voice follows....)

"you wandered too far from me."

"we are not tied together Jeon."

(leaning close, breath warm on tae's ear) "we've been tied since our parents introduced us. you just forgot."
across the room ...jin stiffens 😠. Namjoon lays a calming hand on his arm.

Jungkook's grip tightens, guiding tae to the balcony.cold air bites, city lights 🌟✨.
