I was known in my school for being a quiet girl the girl that always sits in the back of the class the girl that always wears a hood that’s me, Candice Murong. I try to stay out of the way out of sight but one boy won’t let that happen and his name is Asher Malone. Asher is way different than me, he is popular, nice, and everyone likes him. “Hey Candice my Aunt wants you to come over for while today”

“Okay what time?” My parents died a while ago and so did my grandma so I just live off of inheritance money and only buy what I need. “Whenever is fine she really dose not care”

While me and Asher walk to school six girls crowd him trying to get him to join the play And I just walk off to class like it’s nothings it’s not like I have a crowd of people that like me...Fifteenth minutes later Asher walks into class and sits next to me. “ CANDICE”

I look at Asher with big eyes like I’m sitting right next to him why dose he have to yell?

“YOU SHOULD JOIN THE SCHOOL PLAY IT WILL BE SO FUN ME AND YOU AS MAIN LEADS!!”

Ashe really had a big imagination to think that I’ll sing infront of a croup of people..

“I’m good I have a lot of competition if I try out you should just tryout yourself I’lol work in back drops or something..”

Asher try’s to give me puppy eyes but when he dose it looks like is eyes have something in them and it’s just plain creepy..

“ okay BUT...you have to pay my bill at the café and if I make it you have to get me boba for three months straight.” I know Asher will say no because I always pay and he hates paying for food

After school I make it to my old shabby apartment and take a shower then the door opens...

“WHO’S THERE?”

No answer

I took a towel and wrapped it around my body and took my taser from the pile of clothes in the bathroom the I hear footsteps into my room

Shit... what do I do?

“WHO’S THERE ITS NOT FUNNY GET OUT!!!”

Still not one answer....

I lock myself in the bathroom and sit there I can’t breathe and I started crying is this my last minutes on earth?

I hear someon walk into my bedroom and near the bathroom door.

“Candice??”

I can feel relief over my whole body, I walk out the door and look at Asher

“DUDE WHAT THE HELL YOI HAD ME SCARED TO DEATH I THOUGHT YOU WHERE A ROBBER OR SOMETHING!”

“Sorry Candice I didn’t hear you”

I can feel tears start to form

“D-Don’t do it again p-please”

Asher comes close a hugs me

“Sorry I won’t do it again.”

I feel warm now not that I was hugged now that I feel secure. Then Asher looks at me shocked and his nose bleeds

“Woah douse you nose!”

I look down and realize IM *****!!

“IM SO SORRY ASHER!!”

I can’t believe that happend... I am so stupid I didn’t even notice my towel falling off...I dash into the bathroom to put on my clothes.

“Asher I’m so sorry..But you should of called before I got into the shower...”

“I did you didn’t answer!”

“That dose not give you a reason to barge in like that!!”

“ITS NOT MY FALT THAT YOU LIVE IN A SHADY APARTMENT!”

now he’s just making excuses...

“Okay I’m sorry..why did you come over?”

“I wanted to see if you where cooking dinner..”

“Yea I’m hungry and wanted some food so I came over to your place.”

“Okay I’ll cook something, what do you want?”

“Can you make vegetarian pizza again?”

“Yea sure.”

For a guy that everyone likes he is internally a child. Five minutes pass and I don’t hear anything from Asher.

“Asher??”

I walk into my room and he’s looking at a silly photo of us in kindergarten that I keep in my room.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing I just can’t believe that you’re such a quiet person for the fun personality you have..”

When me and and Asher met I was really mean to him and we didn’t get along well until he said that he wanted to be friends and he was the only person that didn’t hate me.

“You know that I don’t like other people.”

In 5th grade I was beat in the bathroom for having Asher as a friend and was told not to be friends with him anymore I get drawing on my desk that say hurtful things and get bullied a lot...Asher is the only person in my life that I can’t loose I promised myself I wouldn’t loose him, Not after my grandma and grandpa. After two minutes the pizza was done

“ASHER!”

Ashers head popped out of my room to see two personal pizzas on the table one for him and one for me.

After Asher leaves I get a text message form Anna the campus bell giving me another waning to stay away from Asher or I’ll get hurt, but as always I take the pain.

After I cleaned up I laid on my bed and I just cried...like I always do I just don’t understand what I did to be hated so much for people to physically harm me, for people to push me around the hallways, for me to lose my parents, for me to lose my grandparents, for people to hate me. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT I DID WHY NO ONE CARES WHY I HAVE TO BE SO ALONE...my phone dings again and the same message from Anna this time it’s an image of a knife with my name on it what has she planned for me this time? I can’t report it I can’t do anything..I’ll just deal with the pain just like to bruses I get I’ll make a fake story so Asher won’t get conserned about me I’ll just go to school....

I really don’t wanna go to school at all I don’t know what she’s going to do will she kill me what will she do to me? When I hear my alarm I get ready for school I wear back shoes and a black jacket and I let my hair down, I usually wear my hair up in a ponytail to school to keep it out of my face for when people hit me but since she has a knife I better keep my face hidden, I don’t want Asher to see me. Anna was standing at the back of the school, where she wanted me to be. That’s when Anna punches me

“YOU SLUT I TOLD YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM HIM!”

that’s when she stated to kick me and hit me.

“Give it to me!”

“Okay”

that’s when Anna’s friend Sofia gets the knife out of her backpack.

“Thank you, Now for that face no one wants to be seen with a disfigured bitch like you!”

that’s where she starts to cut my face I can’t help but scream to her

“STOP PLEASE STOP!”

“Oh look the bitch it pleading with me, let’s see if she will be pleading with me when I cut her face some more”

Anna starts cutting me more and more and the bell rings and blood is dripping from my face and I can feel the cuts on my face and it’s burning and it stings

“Have fun with thoses cuts!!”

Anna and her friend walk away giggling and laughing.

I can’t get up I can see my face is in pain my body hurts I can’t feel my face then I just black out I can’t see...Then I hear a faint sound it sounded like a woman

“OMG THIS GIRLS BL.....”

I couldn’t here what she said I just blacked out...

The next thing I notice is that I’m in a hospital room with bandages around my face and I can’t see and I start freaking out!

“WHERE AM I??”

then I hear a woman talking to me

“It’s fine Candice I found you on the ground and I got concerned so I called the ambulance to get you.”

“Please tell me Asher dose not know!”

“He dose not, when we where on the way to the hospital you kept saying don’t let Asher know”

“What did you tell him?”

“I told him that you are on a selective student retreat”

“Okay.”

“By the way my name is Cassi!”

Cassi is an odd name but honestly I have a strange name too.

“How do you plan on keeping this from your friend?”

“I just need to keep my hair down..”

“What about being blind you can keep that that from him?”

What dose she mean I’m blind what??

“I just need to know who did this to you.”

“I can’t tell you..”

“Candice you need to tell me”

“I can’t tell you it’s for my own safety that you don’t know.”

“But Candice I can help you stay safe from whoever harmed you you just need to tell me who it was..”

“I TOLD YOU I CANT TELL YOU WHO DID IT!”

“CANDICE I NEED TO KNOW FOR YOU TO STAY SAFE!”

“I TOLD YOU NO SO STAY OUT OF IT IF I TELL YOU ME AND HIM WILL BE IN DANGER!”

“Candice if you don’t tell me I will have to tell Asher and see his reaction!”

“I FUCKING TOLD YOU, YOU CAN TELL HIM BUT I’LL NEVER TELL YOU BECAUSE I WANT TO LIVE TO PROTECT HIM AND IF THAT MEANS THAT I HAVE TO GET BEAT UNTIL I TAKE MY LAST BREATH I WILL BECAUSE HE IS ALL THATS LEFT FOR ME!”

“Candice?”

Is that him did she really call Asher down here to see me so he can get the truth out of me?
