A girl was living in a big town near the Tamil Nadu and Kerala state's border in India , Her name is Alina Lathif , she is 18 years old .

Alina lives in a small 2bhk house with her parents , it's a two story building , her family lives on the first floor . She was sleeping in her room , when suddenly in the middle of the night the ground started shaking vigorously , she thought that it was an earthquake and quickly went to wake up her parent .

Alina :Mom!! Dad !!! Wakeup !!!

Her mom : What !!?? What happened??

Her dad : what ? what ? what happened ?

Alina : The ground is shaking! I think it's

an earthquake!!

Her mom and dad realized what was happening and quickly got out of their bed and got out of their house and all three of them where standing on their house's balcony , everyone in the area felt the earthquake and were standing outside their houses , when Alina suddenly saw a big flash of light on the other end of her street .

Alina : OH MY GOD !! WHAT IS THAT ??

The light slowly started dimming and after the light was gone , a crack appeared in mid air and monsters started coming out from inside it . as soon as she saw that she grabbed both of her parents' hands and started running towards the opposite direction . The people who were standing there panicking, also Started running with her as soon as they saw her running .

They kept running and changing their direction if a another portal appeared . They ran into many other survivers on their way and took them with them . All communications and internet were cut because of the monsters so they couldn't call for help either, there were corpses everywhere, like they were killed while standing,not even knowing what killed them , most of them were torn to pieces, their organs were scattered everywhere, some were cut in half and some were missing parts of their body like they were eating alive.

They came across some survivors here and there but most of them were kids and teens below the age of 20 .

They came across an empty shopping mall on the highway outside their town and decided to stay in there for the time being .

The adults searched the whole shopping mall for monsters but they didn't find any but they did find some people hiding in some of the shops .

Everyone agreed to barricade themselves and closed all the entrances with the help of the mall staff who were also hiding there and put lots of heavy stuff to ensure no one can come in . They treated the wounded and started settling in.

As they settled in, the weight of the situation hit them like a truck and everyone started panicking and some started hitting themselves because they thought they were dreaming.

Soon after just like they could sense everyone's fear the monsters started banging on the closed shutters.

Everyone started hurdling against the wall opposite to the entrances the monsters slowly started tearing through the shutters .

Just as all hope seemed to fade away , a bright light appeared in the sky .

A sudden light appeared in the sky and time froze, everything stopped moving, except for Alina and a few other kids in the mall.

Alina : What's happening? Why is everything frozen expect for me and other few of us.

A kid named Ali who is Alina's childhood bestfriend and someone who's is like a big brother to her stepped forward and said:

Ali. : I'm glad you and your parents are safe Alina .

Alina : I'm glad you're safe too Ali where are your parents?

Ali : Don't worry ,they are safe .

Alina : That's good .

Ali : Look !! The monsters have stopped too .

Another kid named Harsha stepped added " What the heck is happening here !!??? First the earthquake then the monsters and now this !?"

They were busy talking when suddenly Another big and hot flash of light appeared and knocked out everyone who were not affected by the time freeze.

Everyone woke up after a while in a weird empty desert and were very confused as to where they were.

A kid named Vidhya said" Where the heck are we ??"

Alina pinched her self to see if it's real or not, but it hurt, so she had no choice to accept the reality. They saw a light in the distance and decided to go there and see if they could find someone. After hours of walking they reached a huge bridge and the light they saw in the distance from when they first started walking was just across the bridge, so even though they were exhausted they decide to cross the bridge.

Everyone slowly started cross the bridge after some time of walking, everyone deside to rest for a while as everyone was exhausted to the point that they couldn't even stand up anymore .

Joshua : Ohh my god !! I'm exhausted !!

everyone : yeah we are exhausted too

Everyone felt heat seeping out from beneath them but no one dared to look . Everyone was skeptical at first, but they decided to just keep walking because they had no other choice. After walking for a while everyone reached the other end of the bridge and an enormous door was standing in front of Them.

The door suddenly opened and everyone instinctively stepped in and Alina noticed that the place had hundreds of doors from different directions. All the doors opened one by one and thousands of kids came in , There was a huge closed curtains infront of Alina and from behind the curtains a voice came and it said : "Survive and kill the demons with the special powers I'm about to give you, if you ever take a innocent person's life then you'll receive punishment on the spot , you'll receive a reward for every innocent life you save , if you fail to kill a demon even though you're stronger or evenly matched with it then you'll receive punishment and if you aid evil demons or don't carry out your duties for a long time even though you're healthy you'll be immediately be branded as a traitor and killed on the spot as painfully as possible and you'll be sent to hell , for every demon kill you'll receive a special gift depending on your contribution . you'll find yourself in a small situation after you return".

After that the hall that they were standing in disappeared , everyone started falling and screaming and suddenly everyone woke up back on earth .

After waking up Alina said : "What a weird dream 🙁 ".and got up . she tripped over her own feet and fell down . After sitting up and looking at herself, she yelled "WHAT THE HECK IS THIS !!!!!"

She got up to see what is happening and why she suddenly tripped

Alina : oww !! My head !! What happened?

She got up to see that she has aged back ten years and become an 8-year-old. She saw herself in one of the shop's glass door and shouted "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO ME" She turned around to see that everyone in the mall have aged back ten years.

"So that wasn't a dream and this is the situation that voice talked about ??"

everyone who were not affected by the time freeze asked each other if they were ok .

Everyone else was skeptical at this situation, some even slapped or pinched themselves to see if it's real.

Alina : Ohh my god!!! You have got to be kidding me!!!!🤦🤦🤦

Suddenly a voice inside her head : No I'm not child.

Alina was really startled that she heard the same voice that she heard in the dream inside her head. She was genuinely surprise at this, so she decided to ask everyone if they can hear the voice too. She turned around, and she saw the surprised look on everyone's face and asked: "Hey everyone, did you guys here a voice inside your head too ?" to that everyone replied "yes" and" yeah". The voice spoke again, and it said "Don't look so surprised, you are the people I've chosen so of course you can hear my voice inside you head", it also added "and also here are the powers I promised you".

Everyone felt a pang in their head and also started feeling unbearable pain all over their body like someone is stabbing them with knives and needles over and over , and it became harder and harder to the point that everyone fell to the ground and passed out.

After they passed out, their bodies started transforming into a more agile, fast and strong versions of themselves, every muscle in their body got activated, their bodies started burning up and quickly melted away at their body fat, so they started profusely sweating, their skin, muscles and bones became 10 times stronger and sturdier, they grew a second set of ears which acted as radars and most grew one tail and some grew many tails according to the type of animal they took after, their eyes transformed and gained many abilities like : Infrared vision, night vision, the ability to zoom in and zoom out of objects and people 40-50 meters away from them and also the ability to see the amount of mana other people possess and also their hair and eye colors changed, and they lost all their body hair but the hair on their head, eyebrows and eyelashes grew back, all their other senses were greatly increased too.

After the transformation was completed everyone started to slowly wake up and noticed their significant change in their appearance and abilities.

Everyone was busy checking themselves out when suddenly a card appeared in front of them, the voice said to grab it and wave it front to back once. Everyone grabbed their card and waved it, it immediately expanded into a touch screen, and it displayed their information it contained their name, age, race, level of power, the number of demons they have killed, items in their possession, number of criminals they killed /caught, and it can also scan and identify demons, items and other supernatural beings and also their stats .

Alina : Did you just give us a FRICKING Pokédex ???

The voice : it's not a Pokédex it's your ID card as hunters so never loose it and also, grab a weapon and get ready the time freeze is about to lift.

As soon as it said that the time freeze wore off and everything went back too normal, and the demons tore through the barricade they previously set up and started charging at them.

Alina : YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!
