A blanket of fog swrils over the bridge. The cold wind cuts through the metal railing carrying the faint glow of the lamps above.
The bridge, the quite night, the cold wind and the engulfing fog shows the beauty and the quietness of 'Winter Nights'.
Until, the quietness is distributed by the echo of heels.
CLICK... CLACK...CLICK...CLACK
The voice stops, as the woman reached the edge of the bridge. Then a rustle of fabric was heard, as she bends down her fingers reaches for the straps clasp... A sharp 'Click' echos as her heels comes off.
She steps forward, showing no signs of emotion and climbs the metal railing.
As she stand on the metal railing. The cold wind kisses her skin, causing goosebumps all over her body. A gentle shiver but her face shows no emotion or determination.
Then, at last she takes the next step, as she fell backwards the wind rustling behind her as if trying to cushion her fall.
But what can the wind do, when the person in question refused to be safe.
Then a few seconds before the water engulfed her, her lips stretch in a small smirk. As if she was rejoicing the moment. As if she has won something.
Then a sharp splash echoed in the surrounding, A little attempt, made by the noise telling the world the story of what happened seconds ago. A story which will soon be discussed by millions.
The sea engulfed her sharply showing no care, she went under in a rush of bubbles. The Cold sea caused her to shiver and gasp loudly, which lead her to inhaling large amounts of salt water.
The salt waters high salinity burn her throat, mouth and eyes.
Because of excessive salt and water in her system, the body starts a fight with her brain for, struggle or survival, but the cold water, the almost freezing cold water showing no mercy numbs her body, not allowing her any ounce of resistance.
Only allowing her to drown deeper and deeper towards a painful yet inevitable death, rather than oxygen the salty water fill her lungs, in a instant the saltwater starts damaging her lungs tissues and the alveoli making it harder to breathe underwater.
She feels the burning sensation on her chest, the stingy pain in her eyes. The cold sensation on her body and lastly the suffocation which causes her to stay in a conscious and unconscious state.
Her brain pulls in a memory, words she never remembered but knew were always there.

The words cause her soul to ache more than the pain her body was going through as if reminding herself, reprimanding herself for having hope. She says harshly,

Than her body finally loses the battle to pain and suffocation causing her to lose her consciousness.

P.s that's why you should never play on frozen lake or sea. Because once accidentally drown the frozen water will numb the body. Hence, stay away from frozen lake etc. and take care.
I opened my eyes like I was merely sleeping moments ago. Not dying In excruciating pain.

I felt as if I was floating on water not drowning and the oddest part was the darkness. The pitch black darkness. I couldn't see or hear anything as if there was nothing to see no light only darkness.
I rose up on my feet, feeling the water beneath it, but I could not hear or see it. Oddly enough I didn't feel any temperature from the water. It is just the liquidity feeling beneath my feet and nothing else. As if being thrown in a vacuum.
I walked a little hoping to see or feel something, but the darkness and bizarre situation made me halt my steps in fear.
Then a strange brightening light caught me off guard, causing me to shut my eyes tightly.

The fear I felt seconds ago, as if it evaporated on its own. I did as the systemic voice said only to be baffled by the captivating being in front of me, who by all means didn't look like a human.
But the strangest part of this encounter was, behind his back small light light particles opened a door in the pitch black darkness.
Then the light surrounds us both, bringing colors to the pitch black darkness. As I saw the beautiful phenomenon, I couldn't help but marvel at its beauty.
But then almost instantly, my brain became hyperactive as a whirl of thoughts made their way in. I couldn't help but question. As if already knowing my dilemma the being again spoke in a robotic voice devoid of emotions.

In a fully lit room, which screams luxury from its floor to ceiling, a figure lay in deep, peaceful sleep until— as if struck by a nightmare. The figure stirred in her sleep.
Twisting and turning, beads of sweat forming on her forehead before jolting her awake.

A sudden churning in her stomach and saliva pooling in her mouth giving clear signs of nausea, made her quickly get up from the bed and run towards the bathroom.
The bathroom door flung open, as she stumbled inside barely making in time.
Her breath came in ragged gasps as she doubled over the toilet, the bitter taste of bile flooding her mouth.
Retching sounds echoed through the quiet room while cold sweat dripped down her temples. Her body shock uncontrollably as waves of nausea crashed relentlessly.
When it finally subsided, she tried to get on her feet to wash away the bitter taste of bile from her mouth. She made her way towards the Basin. With her trembling and tired body.
She gargled her mouth with water and mouth wash. She cupped water in her hands and splashed it on her face.
Then she looked in the mirror only to stumble back on her feet in shock.
As if the world doused cold water on her body.
Her body started shaking violently, a panic attack raising. Memories resurfacing of her sins, of her death and finally of the strange encounter.

As the weight of realization dawned on her uncontrollably tears started streaming down her eyes. She started wailing and hiccuping.
For a few moments only the sound of her wailing and hiccuping and crying could be heard.
Then as if not allowing herself any more remorse. She stood on her feet, eyes showing nothing but hate, and she wipes her tears harshly.

After saying those words she went to clean herself.
She came out of the bathroom, hair damp. A towel around her neck. But she didn't look ok— not even close, she looked worse.
Though her body had stopped trembling, she looked tired and haggard.
She walked and dropped herself onto the bed.
Closing my eyes, as I lay on the bed. I let my thoughts run wild.
I couldn't help but sigh. The room, my appearance all are a testament of this... Not being a nightmare but A absolute truth, The Reality.
I felt the emotional toll building up again. This... this wasn't a chance, this wasn't hope. It was a 'leash' on my neck.
Tightening, Tugging but never killing.
This wasn't Redemption, but it was death by rotting. I was shackled to the past... back with memories of a future clothed with uncertainty.
This was a punishment. Far worse than the death I choose for myself.

After that everything went in a haze. Ny words cut open a wound, which I wanted to stay clothed.

After I got my medication, I took out the nausea pills and took one. Wishing in my head that this will stop the churning of my stomach.
The medication worked, and I no longer felt nauseous as I have driven towards the company.
I walked inside the company building as I made my way towards the CEO's room. The employees greeted me.
Outside my room my secretary was standing and greeted me as soon as she saw me.
