He was at the birthday party. "Hey, I have to go now. I have a meeting later. " Lucas told Jacob.

"Okay, sure. Bye." Jacob replied.

He was at the car park when his phone vibrated. It's a message from a unknown number. It said : Master Lucas, your baby girl is in our hands. If you want to save her, bring me $100 million to X City. Remember to come alone, if you dare bring anyone along with you, I don't know what I would do to your baby girl.

After reading, he clench tightly on his phone. Suddenly, an idea struck him. He punched in his servant's phone number and called him.

"Yes, Master Lucas? " Roy, Lucas's servant, asked.

" Roy, help me check where is Jaclyn and report it to me." Lucas asked.

"Noted. " Roy replied.

"You have a message. " Lucas's notification ringtone rang. It's Roy. The message said : Master Lucas, we've checked. Miss Jaclyn is at City X's factory. There are bombs surrounding that area but don't worry, we've already asked someone to settle it so the bomb won't explode.

After reading, he gets in the car and drove to City X. When he reached, he gott down the car and walked in. The room was empty and silent. Lucas thought to himself.

"Hoho.. Our Master Lucas is here. " a voice from behind said.

"Here's your $100 million. Now let her go." Lucas said, angrily.

"I can't just let her go, can I? " the voice from behind continued.

"Then what do you want?" Lucas asked.

"What I want? It's simple. Anyway, money is not my main motive. My main motive is.. try to guess." the same voice said.

"I don't have the time to play with you right now! " Lucas said in anger.

"Want to save her?" the same voice said. The unknown-voice person pressed a button on a remote control-like thing and what Lucas saw was Jaclyn, who was suspended in the air by a rope tied to her hands.

"Lucas!"Jaclyn exclaimed.

"Jaclyn!" Lucas exclaimed, walking nearer to her.

"Uh huh.. Don't go near her. If you do, if you touch her, she'll die in any seconds. So the best way is to stay where you are. If you don't touch her, the bomb will explode in 50 mins but if you do, she'll die in probably 5 mins time if it triggers the thing on her neck." the same voice reminded.

"What do you want?" Lucas asked.

"It's very simple. Take this and kill yourself. That's all. It's simple, isn't it?" the same voice ordered him and threw a sword to him.

"No Lucas! I don't allow you to do that!" Jazlyn exclaimed. Lucas smriked and said, "Since that's what you want, I'll fulfil it. " He picked up the sword and gave his ready-look.

"No! Lucas I said no! " Jaclyn cried. He picked the sword, turned behind, ran towards the gang and use the sword to kill them. One of the tall guy from the gang dropped a gun while he was being "slice" by Lucas. Lucas saw the gun a pick it up and shoot at the chains that chained Jaclyn's hands and legs. The chains broke but Jaclyn was falling. Lucas caught her just in time. Lucas put her down and hug her.

"What are you doing?" Jazlyn asked looking puzzled.

"Hush.. Don't say anything.. I need to "recharge". I thought I was going to lose you the moment I recieved a message from them saying the you're here. I thought something would happen to you. " Lucas said, hugging her tightly.

"You fool. See? I'm fine. Alright, why not we make a promise?" Jaclyn suggested after seeing Lucas like this.

" A Promise?" Lucas asked.

"Yes, I promise you that I won't leave you alone and I'll stay be your side. Okay?" Jazlyn comforted him by saying it that way.

"Okay, but there's one more thing you have to promise. Promise me that you'll inform me if you're going out, okay?" Lucas asked.

"Okay. " Jazlyn replied.

" Now, let's go, " Lucas said.

"Go where?" Jazlyn asked.

"Do you wanna stay here or do you wanna go home? " Lucas teased.

"Of course I wanna go home! But.. " Jazlyn replied. She was in a dilemma. She didn't know what to say. Should she say that she couldn't leave with him because of the bombs?

"What's wrong, my baby girl?" Lucas asked.

"I can't go with you. They said that if you touch me and triggers this thing on my neck I'll die in 5mins." She was shocked that those sentences cams out from her mouth like this.

"Silly, don't trust them. I won't let you die." Lucas said, confronting her.

"What do you mean?" Jaclyn asked feeling something's wrong.

"When I received the message, I've already ask someone to settle the bomb." Lucas explained.

"So it won't explode?" Jazlyn asked, trying to confirm.

"Yes, it won't. Let's go home and take the thing out from your neck, okay?" Lucas said, touching her head.

"Ah! Wait.."

"What happen?" Lucas asked concerned about her.

"Nothing.. let's go." Jazlyn replied, hoping that she wasn't unusual.

"Wait.. sit down first." Lucas said after he saw that big patch of bruise on her ankle.

"You have a big patch of bruise on you ankle. Wait here." Lucas said it more like a command. He went back to his car and came back with her slippers.

"You need to change your high heels into your slippers first." Lucas took off Jazlyn's high heels gently and helped her changed it to her slippers.

"Thank you." Jazlyn whispered.

"Don't say such words. I don't wanna hear it. You're injured and it's the responsibility of being a boyfriend, isn't it? " Lucas asked.

"Okay, whatever you say." Jazlyn replied, smiling.

"Although you changed your shoes already but, sorry for my disrespect, my Princess." Lucas said in a respectful way. He scoop her up and carry her in his arms and walked out of the factory.

"Open the door." Lucas said.

"Yes, Master Lucas." Chauffeur Kevin replied, opening the door. Lucas put her down gently on the seat. After he got in the car ,closes the door, took out a lotion bottle and rub the lotion gently on Jazlyn's ankle.

"Master Lucas, we're home." Chauffeur Kevin said.

"Jaclyn, we're home, can you still walk? Jaclyn?" Sleeping? Okay then I won't wake you up. You did suffered a lot today, sorry. He thought. He carried her out of the car and walked back to her room.

"Don't go.. " Jaclyn pleaded while sleeping. "Okay, I won't. "Lucas said, softly. That night, they slept together for the 8th time.

"Jaclyn! " Lucas shouted, after finding out that Jaclyn was not beside him. He get off the bed quickly and searched the whole room but he didn't see Jaclyn until he heard sounds coming from the kitchen. Bang! "Ouch! " Jaclyn cried when she dropped the plate by accident and got a cut on her hand. Lucas followed the sounds and saw Jaclyn's finger was bleeding.

"Jaclyn! Are you okay? " Lucas ran towards Jaclyn and wash her wound. While washing her wound, he ask, "What are you doing here? Why did you try to cook when you can't? Didn't I said that I would do the cooking? " Jaclyn finally spoke after a while. "Well, I just wanted to cook something for you.. " Jaclyn answered, avoiding eye contact with Lucas. "Next time, I'll find a Chef to teach you how to cook, then you can cook something for me. Okay? " Jaclyn nodded her head meaning that she understood. Lucas took out the first aid kid from the cardboard in the living room. He took out a plaster from the first aid kid and plastered it to Jaclyn's finger.

After that, he went on to hug Jaclyn. Jaclyn was shock at the sudden hug. After some thought, Jaclyn said, "Were you scared that I'd injured myself that bad? See? I'm still fine. It's not like something bad happened to me. It's only a cut, why do you get so over reacting? " Lucas kept quiet. The silence seemed long. It seemed like an hour..

"I'm not over reacting.. I'm just scared that you might leave me behind. I just had a scary dream.. It feels uncomfortable.. I woke up and but you won't beside me.. I'm just scared that something would happen to you.." Lucas said, after the long silence. Jaclyn didn't know how to console Lucas so she patted him gently and ask, "So, what is the dream that you make so uncomfortable? " "You... Really want to know? Since you insists so, I'll tell you. Well, I dreamt that we were on a honeymoon and suddenly there were guns shooting around. I looked out and that's when I know that it was a terrorist attack. When they got into our room, they shot me and I fell down, kneeling on the ground with my hand holding the wound's blood. You woke up and saw me like this. You came over and put me on your lap, asking me not to die and leave you alone. Then, after that, you were told to give them USD100 million if not they would give me a head shot. But in the end, you covered that up for me. As they were about to shoot me, you stand uo suddenly and took the shot. I was so scared and I woke up from the dream and that was when I found out that you weren't sleeping beside me so that's why... " Jaclyn couldn't think of anything to say at that moment. Her hands wasn't listening to her too. She thought of patting Lucas on the back gently to console him but she didn't. Since so, her hands did not listen to her and consoled Lucas. She was a bit shock at that. Well, at this time, Lucas really need to be consoled, right? Jaclyn thought deep in her heart, looking at the way that Lucas looked. Lucas looked really uncomfortable. "Well, see? I'm still alive. I'm still beside you, aren't I? Okay, tell tou what. I'll always be by your side forever til the day we died. Okay? " Jaclyn assured him. Lucas move his hand away from Jaclyn, hold her hand and brought her to the kitchen.

"Sit here and do not go anywhere. " Lucas said. Jaclyn looked puzzled until she saw Lucas preparing the cooking utensils and more. "You can cook?" Jaclyn asked. Lucas nodded and said, "Although I, Lucas Wong, am man and your boyfriend, but do not look down upon me. I've been cooking since I was seven-years-old. " Jaclyn eyes widened ans asked, "Seven-year-old? For real? I only started cooking when I was thirteen-years-old though.. But why did you started learning how to cook when you so young? " Lucas paused for a while and said, "That's because... My parents didn't have time to take care of me and because of that, people always say that I'm a orphan. My parents didn't even turn up for any events in school. Everytime when there's events in school, I wasn't happy because I knew that they won't and will never turn up. Not even once. Everytime when I got bullied in school, I have no one to turn to. And that also leads to the reason why I was behaving like that just now. I was afraid that I would lose another person I love. "

After hearing what Lucas had said and after a long silence, Jaclyn finally spoked. "Hmm... Then I'll be your "mom". You can tell me when you have any problems and we'll try solve it. Okay? " Lucas beamed a smile and nodded. "I'll go make breakfast. You can come down later. " Lucas kissed Jaclyn's forehead lightly.

After a while..

"Breakfast ready! " Lucas went to the kitchen and brought out some dish and put them on the table. Looking at the food, Jaclyn can't get her eyes off and drooling. Looking at her, Lucas giggled. He cut a piece of beef steak and put it inside Jaclyn's mouth. Jaclyn was shoked and her eyes began to sparkle. "How is it so nice?!?! I want more.. " Jaclyn looked at Lucas with puupy-like eyes. Lucas can't stand the look and continue to feed her. After they were finish with the breakfast, Jaclyn asked. "Hey, do you wanna go out?" "To where?" Lucas asked. " You'll know later. " Jaclyn answered, beaming a smile.

"We've arrived. "Chauffeur Eric said. They got off and what they saw was a amusement park! Lucas was stunned. "Wow.." Lucas said, eyes sticking to the amusement park. "Come, let's go and play. Where do you wanna go first? Oh yeah, today will be my treat! " Jaclyn said. "You don't have motion sickness right? " Lucas asked. Jaclyn shooked the head. "then let's go ride the Viking Ship, after that we'll go there and decorate cakes, followed by roller coaster, hunted house and the ferri wheel. " Lucas continued. "Sure! You're the boss today so you get to go where you want. Let's go! " Jaclyn replied.

"It's already this late?!?! It's already 9:30pm. Wow.. We did play very long. Oh yes, can't forget about the fireworks at 10pm. " Jaclyn told herself. "Lucas, let's go somewhere!" Jaclyn pulled Lucas's hand and ran to the fireworks place. There, Jaclyn confessed to Lucas. "Remeber this place? This is where we first met. Here, I wanna confess to you. Thank you for liking me and giving me everything. Thank you for always being there for me. I really wanna thank you for everything that you did. Thank you for letting me be your girlfriend. And also, I wanna say 3 words. " Jaclyn confessed, holding Lucas's both hands while looking at him. Just as the fireworks appear, Jaclyn continued what she hadn't finish, "I love you. " and kissed Lucas. After that kiss, Lucas said, "I love you too. " and kissed Jaclyn on the forehead and patted her. Just as the fireworks were gone, Jaclyn told Lucas there's still one more place she wanna bring him and that is...

"Here we are! "

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to Lucas.. Happy birthday to you!! " Lucas's family appeared from nowhere with the birthday cake just as when Jaclyn said "Here we are! " Lucas burst into tears. Jaclyn hugged him and said 'Happy Birthday'. Hearing that, Lucas said 'Thank you' in between tears. He was really touched. Jaclyn went to take the tissues and wiped of the tears on Lucas's face. "Let's cut the cake. Okay? " Lucas nodded and walk to the cake.
