Forced To Be Obedient
The Marriage I Never Chose
Aldrick stared at the marriage certificate like it was a death sentence. The gold-embossed paper glimmered mockingly under the crystal chandelier of the Varelli estate. This place reeked of old money, blood, and power. None of which belonged to him.
Yet, here he was—about to be married to the most dangerous man alive.
The Mafia heir. The man who had orchestrated this entire arrangement without asking Aldrick's permission. The man who’d claimed him like he was property.
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
Smile a little, Aldrick *Lucien's smooth voice purred beside him, his breath ghosting over Aldrick’s ear* You’re the most beautiful groom I’ve ever seen
Aldrick turned his head, slowly.
His cold, icy blue eyes met Lucien’s dark, obsessive gaze.
Lucien Varelli(ML)
I’m not doing this because I want to.
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
Doesn’t matter. You're still mine *Brushing a gloved thumb over Aldrick’s slim waist as if he owned it*
Mateo, Aldrick’s loyal assistant and closest friend, stood stiff near the door. His eyes were filled with silent concern. Next to him was Devano, trying to keep his cool but clearly fuming.
On the mafia’s side, Elijah stood proudly in a black suit, watching everything like a hawk. Noah leaned lazily against the wall, smirking like he found all of this entertaining.
Clair and Blackwood, Lucien’s intimidating parents, sat in the front row like royalty.
Elizabeth and Jackson, Aldrick’s own parents… looked like statues. Cold. Distant. Just like the deal they made behind his back.
“Aldrick Samuel,” the officiant announced, voice echoing across the ceremonial hall. “Do you take Lucien Varelli as your lawfully wedded husband?"
Aldrick didn’t look at anyone. Not his friends. Not his parents. Not even Lucien.
Cheers erupted. But to Aldrick, it sounded like chains locking around his throat.
Lucien pulled him in, strong arms wrapping around his waist. And without permission, he kissed him—firmly, slowly, like he was claiming what was finally his.
Aldrick didn’t kiss back.
But he didn’t push him away either.

The Wedding Night
Aldrick stepped into the massive bedroom, his shoes echoing against the marble floor. The room smelled faintly of sandalwood and gunpowder — Lucien’s scent. The king-sized bed was dressed in black silk sheets, and the dim light from the chandelier cast shadows over the walls.
This wasn’t his room. It was Lucien’s.
And tonight, it was supposed to be theirs.
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
I already told Elijah to bring your luggage here *Deep voice came from behind. He was loosening his tie, his sharp eyes never leaving Aldrick’s figure*
Lucien Varelli(ML)
I didn’t ask for that *Replied flatly, walking to the window and staring at the city lights instead of him*
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
*Chuckled* You’re my husband now. Everything you have belongs here. Belongs to me.
Lucien Varelli(ML)
Correction. *Turned, his blue eyes cold* I belong to no one.
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
*Gaze flickered down to Aldrick’s slim waist — an unspoken weakness he already knew how to exploit* We’ll see.
He stepped forward, closing the distance, until Aldrick’s back pressed against the window. His hand lifted, fingers grazing Aldrick’s jawline with a possessive touch.
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
You can glare at me all you want, Aldrick *Murmured, voice low and dangerous* But this marriage is not just on paper. You’ll sleep in my bed, eat at my table, and stand by my side in every room we walk into.
Lucien Varelli(ML)
And if I refuse? *Challenged*
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
Then I’ll make you want it.
The tension in the air was thick. Aldrick could hear his own heartbeat — loud, unwanted. But instead of answering, he shoved past Lucien and walked to the far side of the room, unbuttoning his suit jacket.
Lucien didn’t stop him. He only watched, a dark hunger in his eyes.
Morning After
By the time Aldrick managed to slip out of bed, it was already past eight.
He padded across the cold marble floor, ignoring the slight stiffness in his muscles from sleeping tensely all night. His navy-blue hair was messy, and he didn’t care. All he wanted was coffee strong enough to erase the memory of Lucien’s arm around him.
The dining room was already set when he arrived. Mateo and Devano were seated on one side of the long table, while on the opposite side sat Lucien, Noah, and Elijah. The air was thick — as if everyone in the room was waiting for something.
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
Good morning, tesoro. *Greeted smoothly, eyes trailing over Aldrick’s slim figure in the silk robe the maids had provided. His tone was calm, but there was that same dangerous glint in his eyes*
Lucien Varelli(ML)
*Ignore him and sat beside Mateo* “Black coffee. No sugar *Told at the maid*
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
Already prepared for you *Said before she could move. He nodded at the cup in front of Aldrick* I know how you take it.
Aldrick’s hand froze for half a second before picking up the cup. He didn’t thank him.
Devano(MC Friend)
*Leaned closer, whispering just enough for Aldrick to hear* Are you okay?
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
*Before Aldrick could answer, Lucien’s voice cut in, sharp and possessive* He’s more than okay.
Noah(ML Friend)
*Smirked* You two look… domestic already
Mateo shot him a glare, but Lucien seemed to enjoy the tension. He leaned back in his chair, watching Aldrick sip his coffee with infuriating calm.
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
You’ll be coming with me today *Casually, as if it were a fact* We have a meeting at the Varelli headquarters. As my husband, you’ll be introduced to my men.
Lucien Varelli(ML)
*Set his cup down deliberately* And if I have my own business to attend to?
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
*Smirk widened* Then I’ll move your meetings tomorrow. You belong to my schedule now.
Mateo’s eyes darted to Aldrick, knowing that tone was a provocation. Devano’s jaw tightened.
Aldrick’s blue eyes locked onto Lucien’s dark ones. The air between them shifted, sharp like glass.
Lucien Varelli(ML)
I am not a piece in your chess game, Lucien.
Aldrick Samuel(MC)
*Leaned forward, voice low but lethal* No, Aldrick… you’re the king. And I’m the only one allowed to protect — or capture — you.
