Maya sits in her classroom, feeling uneasy and afraid of the unknown faces around her. The unknown faces are her classmates who once cherish her....only for her money and to gain popularity. Exactly Aline, she was always get set on hanging out with Maya regardless of Maya having or not having money.

She stared out the window of her classroom room, wanting to run away from her classroom....out somewhere open where none can find her. As she was engulfed with her own thoughts, a hand grabbed her from behind yanking and pulling at her hair.

Maya gasped, shocked but quickly realised that was just one of her bullies doing the regular routine of harassing and hurting her. But this time it felt different...one of the three bullies looked at her with pity and a weird sense of sadness.... something Maya had never seen before at least not from one of her bullies.

"You bitch...think you're so sly relying on daddy's money? Be honest u look down on us don't u....?" The bully spat at her face and laughed. As usual Maya tried to deny her, ...."no...i don't look down on u or… Anyone else so...pls- ".... before she was able to finish her face was made with a hard and welcoming slap. Maya's eyes widened with pain and helplessness. Her eyes filled with tears. This only made the bullies chuckle and continue their brutal act.

Finally the bullies got tired of her crying and left....her body covered in bruises yet she still stood up pushing through the pain...."one day it will all be over... right?"...she questioned again and again whether live will get better or she will forever be the victim of this relentless bullying and harasment.

She made her way to her home....well it' more of a hellhole than 'home'....she made the painful journey back to her house where she was never truly welcomed yet that was the only place she could go.

Her body was begging her to give it rest, her legs trembling, her head was spinning as if she was going to collapse anytime now. Still she finally reached her home and collapsed in front of the doorway managing to ring the bell only once.

However, nobody opened it....her brother who was sitting on the couch definitely heard it but didn't bother opening it... knowing it was Maya.

"TSK TSK that brat is back so soon.... I told them i should have paid them more (them means the bullies) to keep her away for the rest of the night....how annoying 🙄🙄🙄"

One one opens the door too busy with their own problems and stuff.... Maya stayed on the doorstep on the house cold, hungry and passed out.

This is my first time writing and also writing a novel on top of that....pls forgive the grammatical errors. My first language is not English.

As Maya was left in the freezing cold. Someone rushed to her pulling her up and supporting her weight on their shoulders. For a second Maya's eyes flutter open...she saw a shadowy silhouette.

The figure smiled and said...."hush everything will be okay... alright"… Maya helplessness and powerless unable to figure out who it was just nodded and fainted.

 The person carried Maya to their motorcycle and

sat her in the front while she took the back, the person's hands on both sides of Maya supporting her. That person drove off very slowly trying to be as gentle as possible. The person held Maya's waist with one hand and the other on the motorcycle handle driving into the dark and peaceful streets.

They reached a house….. humble and beautiful. With rows of roses in the garden the moonlight hitting the flowers made them sparkle almost looked magical. The person dragged Maya to the front door, opened it and got in. It was a well furnished house with warm lighting and tons of decorations on the walls.





 (pretend its nighttime)

They picked up Maya in their arms bridal style and carried her to their bedroom. The bedroom was decorated with pictures of plants and warm lights. The primary colour used was green to give it a natural like vibe with a cozy and comfortable bed.



They laid her on the bed turned off the lights, kissing Maya very affectionately on her forehead as a way to ease her worries...."goodnight Maya....sweet dreams."

The next morning

"Ughh....what happened...?" Maya looked around the unfamiliar room...."where am I?"

Maya was feeling agitated as she recalled the events from last night....and whose house was it and who was the person that helped her....

The door opened with a soft thud.... revealing the stranger. It was Aline (i forgot to mention Aline and Maya had not met before...so this is their first meeting). Aline smiled warmly and asked..."oh how wonderful u are awake... don't move around too much I had put in a lot of effort to bandage ur wounds"...Maya confused looked down at her body with was covered with bandages in the places she got hurt and also a change of clothes in cute pajamas. Maya was really grateful to the stranger..."i-i am so thankful to u....u saved me...and even took care ofy wounds....wait took care of my wounds....? Wait wait wait hold up a sec-"

"What happened?"...Aline said with an innocent smile on her face. "Y-you changed my clothes....so that means"....her face was bright red with embarrassment and put her hands on her face in shame for letting a stranger see her body like that.

Aline just chuckled softly and put a hand on her shoulder gently.... "don't worry... I know u must be feeling embarrassed, but I did what was necessary....and u have quite the figure" says the last part without realizing. "Ah, ah I mean I meant....um...well would u look at the time let's go and have some breakfast....oh btw I am Aline I go to the same school as u a grade below u...."

Maya was about to ask more questions, but her hunger won, and her stomach growled ...."yea you're rIght....i am Maya...thanks again "

They both headed downstairs to the diner table.

(Aline a rebellious but kind teenager who can't stand the weak falling victim to stronger one, always tries her best to help others and protect her loved ones, her family is rich but always taught her to be humble and work hard to achieve what she wants not to rely on their money)

[Now on to the actual story at the dinner table]

Aline opens the fridge and carefully examines what she has...... "So Maya what do u prefer...eggs, bread, pancakes, cereal or-".... Maya looks conflicted not wanting to be selfish she says in a low voice....."a-anything"... Aline frowns a bit sensing her fear... Maya didn't want Aline to be so worked up over her...."are u sure...?'

"....yes I am fine with anything..."

Aline says in a clear and loud voice...."you're wrong.... I can't just serve u anything... I don't know what u might be allergic to or what u like or dislike... Maya was speechless for a second, even her own family didn't care about her likes or dislikes heck they don't even care that Maya is gone ...not at home not at school but at a stranger's house who claims to her underclassmen. "I-i then".... Maya mastered up all her courage and said... "allow me to be selfish just this once.... I want p- pancakes ". Even though this action was so small, yet she felt powerful for being able to ask for something with much hesitation.

"That' the spirit... Maya" smiles and starts working on preparing the pancakes. Maya was a bit flustered no one had said her name so sweetly and even encourage her...she thought to herself....(is this person a fairy...treating me so nicely....they must be an angel)

"Maya.... Maya..." Aline called out to Maya. Maya quickly snaps out of her thoughts as Aline placed a plate with fluffy pancakes topped with maple syrup with strawberries and blueberries. She quickly pushes all those thoughts away and said ..."thank you...so much Aline "for the first time Maya smiles not a forced and fake one but a genuine smile for Aline who treated her better in just not even two days unlike her family.

Aline smiles back warmly...."make yourself at home....you're always welcome no need to thank me...ok?"....that was it as Aline said those words.... Maya broke down in front of this stranger no Aline...."wh-why....why be so kind to an useless person like me...?" Aline simply smiled and offered her a friendly hug....shh it' okay Maya...you're safe here...
