Summer break ended and it was the first day back at school. Everyone was cheerful and there were alot of stories being told. Freshmans were scared and were confused. Me on the other hand, I was happy. I broke up with Dylan during summer break cause he cheated on me.

If I'm being honest, I was a little sad but I got through it with the help of my sister Maddie and my best friend Sofia. I didn't need Dylan anymore. I was a cheer captain. My mother was pissed off at my grades so as soon as I got to school I had to go to the principal's office.

"Ally, your grades have been dropping, if you fail again you'll be kicked off the cheer squad."

"I understand Mr Matthews."

"you'll be assigned a tutor. He will help you and you'll be at the library with him every day after school."

"yes Mr Matthews."

"Your tutor is outside the door, you're dismissed."

I stood up and left the office. Standing a few feet away from me was none other then Kade Jackson. He was the nerd of the school. He was the smart one and so was his friend Alex. Kade had blonde hair, blue eyes, glasses and he looked a bit muscular. His jawline was sharp and could cut through paper.

Our eyes met. I should feel angry about this butbi don't. Kade was my tutor and I had to deal with it.

"so you're my tutor huh?"

"yea."

His voice was deep and smooth. Kade was always getting names thrown at him for being a nerd and I felt guilty for him. Before summer break Dylan and I would make fun of Kade and now that we're not together I feel bad.

"I'll see you after school at the library. Don't be late miss cheerleader."

I rolled my eyes at the nickname and walked away. Kade may be smart but sometimes he can also be annoying. I walked in the hallway where I saw Maddie and Sofia. They were talking to Alex and his brother Ace. Alex liked Maddie and Ace liked Sofia. At this point they all like each other. Maddie and Sofia looked at me and they excused themselves from the boys.

"so how'd it go?"

"tell us!!"

"well it went well but Mr Matthews gave me a tutor."

"who's your tutor?"

"Kade Jackson."

Their eyes went wide and their mouths hung open. They were shocked and I was just okay with it.

"the nerd!"

"yea."

"how are you so chill about it?! I thought you hated nerds."

"I only hated him cause of Dylan, now that we broke up things have changed."

The bell rang for class and everyone was rushing to get to class on time. The first period was History and obviously I was sitting next to Kade. The lesson was boring but Kade made me pay attention.

I sat at the table in the library, surrounded by stacks of books and notes. I was going to tutor Ally, the popular girl, the cheer captain. This was crazy, I never thought I'd end up tutoring her. I was a signed as her tutor by Mr Matthews.

Ally arrived at the library, her cheerleading uniform made her look so attractive. I was attracted to Ally's personality not her looks. Her personality was bright and energetic. I forgave her for calling me names when she was with Dylan.

"what are we doing first nerd?"

"let's do some calculus first miss cheerleader."

She rolled her eyes at the nickname and we got started. She was smart, kept asking questions, grasping concepts quickly. I found myself enjoying her company but I couldn't get attached.

Ally leaned in closer to me, looking at the equations in the textbook. I caught a whiff of her perfume, something sweet and floral. I felt a flutter in my chest but I focused on the math. I watched her hazel eyes scan the questions, the way she bit her lip when she didn't know the answer.

We continued working through the problems, I helped her when she couldn't get the answer. After a few hours, Ally sighed.

"calculus is hard."

"it's not that hard."

"for me it's hard, for you it's easy cause you're a nerd."

I laughed at Ally and she looked at me confused. She looked more beautiful than ever.

"what's funny nerd?"

"nothing miss cheerleader."

We finished and Ally packed her things and so did I. We left the library and started walking.

"you doing anything now?"

"well I have to study for the history test."

"all you do is study, don't you do anything fun?"

"well i do have something fun to do but I'm not telling you anything."

Ally looked at me with her curious eyes but she didn't say anything. We continued walking and talking. Ally had humor which was surprising cause I thought she was only mean.

"can you hack?"

"I can, but I only do it when it's necessary."

"and when is it necessary nerd?"

I smirked and gave Ally a wink. I may be a nerd but I use my hacking skills to stalk Ally. You can call me crazy for that but I don't care.

"gaming?"

"nope."

"sports?"

"nope."

"hmm...you're a nerd that has a secret fun hobby and your skills are hacking. But you don't game or play sports. You're really hard to crack Kade."

I smiled, they way she said my name made my heart skip a beat. It was nice to see Ally like this, so free and being herself. I dropped Ally home and I went to the gym. I didn't want Ally to know that I like gyming for fun. My best friend Alex was there and we worked out together.

It was the weekend and my parents forced me to let Kade come over to tutor me. I hated studying in the weekends but I had no choice. My sister Maddie was out with Alex and Sophia was out with Ace.

My thoughts were interrupted when there was a knock on my room door. I got off the bed and opened the door only to see Kade. My eyes widen as I looked at his body. He was muscular. My eyes travelled down to his hands which was veiny. I bit my lip. Kade cleared his throat.

"can I come in?"

"oh...uh...yea sorry...come in."

Kade walked in my room. He looked around my room, the atmosphere was cozy. There was two bean bag chairs in the corner of my room, my bed in the middle, my walk in closet and my desk was in front of my bed.

"want anything to snack on or drink before we start?"

"no thanks, I'm good. Your room looks comfy by the way."

"Thanks, I love a comfortable atmosphere."

We sat on the bean bag chairs and I pulled out my history textbook. Kade started explaining the concept in simpler terms, his voice was deep and smooth. I had to stop myself from looking at his hands. I started to understand the concepts quickly.

As we worked, I started to relax. I wasn't wearing my cheerleading uniform, I was wearing just a baggy hoodie. After an hour I leaned back and let out a sigh.

"I think I get it now. You explained the topic more easier then Mrs Kate."

"yea, but you need to focus in class more often Ally."

I bit my lip at the way he said my name. I shouldn't be feeling like this. I was a cheerleader and he was a nerd, it wouldn't work.

"I think we should take a break."

"yea, you're right."

I could feel Kade's gaze on my legs, I felt myself starting to get wet at the way he looked at me.

"uh...I'm gonna go get a snack."

"I'll come with you."

We both walked out my room and walked downstairs into the kitchen. The snacks were in the top cabinet, I stood on my tipy toes trying to reach for them. Suddenly I felt Kade behind me and he grabbed the snacks. I turned around and I looked up at him. I gulped and my breath hitched. We were so close, closer then we ever were.

We just stood there silently, none of us moving or talking. His hand moved a strand of my hair behind my ears. His fingers slightly grazing my cheek, his touch was soft.

"I think I know what you do for fun?"

"you do?"

"yea."

"well what do I did for fun miss cheerleader?"

"you like to gym...you're a nerd that's a gym rat and you like hacking."

He smirked and then he stepped away from me. After that he left and I was alone, just me and my thoughts.
