“M’lady”? ………. A girl sat in utter confusion as she tried to make sense of what had been going on .

"M’lady , why do you keep calling me that ”?

The maids staired at each other completely dumbfounded.

They asked the girl if she was feeling well or not , for she had been acting strange since the moment they had came into her quarters to give her a daily bath .

With all that commotion a familiar figure walks into the room asking what was going on .

" Emerald ”!

She staired at her silently and realization hit her as she saw her face .

She said to herself ," It can’t be that I’ve reincarnated have I ”?

"Serena” , she called out to the maid who had mentioned her name and asked …….

“ My lord ? Does he seek an audience with me ? " .

She nodded signaling she was right .

Emerald’s guess had been confirmed.

She had been reincarnated into the last story she wrote in her previous life before she had died .

“M’lady , I am to get you ready for his audience today so please get out of bed ” .

She did as she was told and followed her to the bath where she was cleaned and then dressed up properly and given the finest jewelry and makeup to wear .

As she looked in the mirror she remembered something from her past life . Everyone had told her how worthless she was and being so she wasn’t even pretty . A grin appeared on her face as she looked in the mirror pleased with her appearance.

"Selena are we the only house in which he demands an audience with ?” .

" The silver dawn house will also be present at the court " .

She smirked , realizing she was in control knowing all the events about to happen .

“ I hope I look presentable enough for my lord ?” …………..

She replied by telling her she looked as beautiful as the great ocean goddess herself.

Both the Protagonist and her lady in waiting as well as her other servants had made it to the court where she sat right hand to her husband

Emperor Blake Luminari of the mystical realm.

He seemed so happy to see his third wife present by his side .

“Someone is looking beautiful today ”, he said smiling brightly towards her .

she simply nodded and he placed a kiss on her forehead .

Their little moment was interrupted when his second wife had entered the court and sat at his left hand…..

Sylvia ,

she had always been jealous of Emerald because the Emperor adored her the most . Emerald glared daggers at her but from the corner of her eye

for she knew her intentions where malicious and selfish so she would be very weary and cautious of her .

All the members of the royal palace and imperial court were present so the meeting was to begin at once.

“Members of the imperial court , rejoice for today is a good day ” .

Whispers filled the room as people were getting anxious about what he meant .

“ For our neughbouring realms wish to pay us a visit to trade in natural resources and culture ”.

Emerald had realized this moment . A bunch of other realms came to theirs , she remembered she had a whole lot of fun so there was nothing to worry about .

The only to worry about was the malicious plot Sylvia planned created for Lorien .

Lorien was the Kings first wife ,

Sylvia had always held a strong grudge against her because the Emperor bore a child with her first rather than with her .

The emperor’s only child .

As she was lost in her thoughts .

Sylvia got up seeking for attention, she brought up an idea of a banquet for the foreigners and the imperial court members and the family members to enjoy only .

Everyone seemed to agree with her idea until Emerald intervened.

“ My lord if I may ” , he nodded giving her permission to speak out to the court . “ If this exchange is to strength our relations then I suggest a magic parade instead , for both local and elite citizens to enjoy and besides the more the merrier " .

The court seemed to agree with her idea the most and then decided to go with Emerald’s suggestion.

Sylvia bolsted out of the room glaring deadly daggers at her .

After the court meeting had been held , the emperor sent his right hand man over to house Calonia .

House Calonia was the house owned by Emerald and all her servants as well as ladies in waiting .

Lord Blake’s right hand man , Fildermort requested an audience with her majesty Lady Emerald of house Calonia .

As soon as she had heard this she prepared a banquet for his majesty’s right hand man .

The evening dawned and soon he had arrived .

All the servants at the entrance bowed and welcomed him warmly for he was a great mage and a brilliant scholar in all the land .

He was taken aback by the banquet that was made especially just for him for he had never been welcomed warmly by house silver dawn this warmly and house Mistica was off bounds because the emperor’s First wife was always helping others in the village so she lived in a palace of her own at Towns Centre .

Fildermort bowed and immediately showed his gratitude,"Good evening M’lady and I appreciate the kind gesture ".

She simply smiled and nodded at him . " Lord Fildermort what brings you here this evening then ?" . He replied by saying his majesty wishes to have an audience with her and that was all ." An audience? , but for what ?" ……………

" You did suggest a magic parade at the exchange fare M’lady ? " .

She nods signaling to him that he was right .

” His majesty wishes for you to conjure a spell to beautify the parade at Town’s Centre ".

Taken a back she asked , “ what spell exactly am I to conjure ?" .

He explained the visitors were from the neighboring realms Wisteria and Aquaria .

“ The wisteria realm likes flowers and everything evergreen so we would need to decorate Town’s Centre with flowers and Aquaria loves the water as the original worshipers of the Ocean goddess they would like to see a water fountain but not just any ordinary water fountain it has to be special in any that you would like it to be ”.

They continued to talk until Serena walked in the banquet hall to refill their tea .

Lord Fildermort had always been fond of Serena so tonight he had the courage to ask Lady Emerald for a favor.

"Lady Emerald if you do not mind , I would like to take your right hand consort to the emperial gardens to have a word with her " .

She nodded telling him it was a yes .

He got up and placed a kiss on the hand of Serena .

Her lady smirked at her feeling entertained with their lovely banter and sooner enough Serena was a blushing mess .

The following morning in the royal garden .

Emerald yells for Serena to prepare a royal carriage to Towns Centre for they had a visit with the emperors first wife Lorien .

"I wrote a letter to her last night and she is more than excited to have us over and besides , she is good at conjuring water creatures and any kind of liquid since she is from Aquaria ".

"Yes m'lady right away "! .

A carriage was arranged to immediately head to house mistica at towns Centre .

Almost an hour was spent in the royal carriage but Emerald didn’t mind in fact she was really happy to come over .

She remembers her first time in the palace vividly. Lorien welcomed her warmly whilst Sylvia just glared and cursed words at her telling her she was just the daughter of a high mage but was nothing compared to her , born in the flesh of royalty .

She went far to the extent of telling her to pack her bags and leave the royal palace .

In the midst of this Lorien stepped in telling her , " we all came from humble beginnings Sylvia and please treat as your little sister as she must be new to all of this ".

From that they onwards she took care of Emerald and Emerald took care of her during the period in which she was having her baby .

As she was lost in thoughts she didn’t notice they had reached town Centre already .

The people began to bow as the they saw the royal carriage approached towards them and then to house mistica .

The doors where huge and decorated with moonlight flowers .

They were welcomed warmly.

Leaving their carriage near the entrance and Emerald as well as her lady in waiting and consorts followed behind holding gifts .

Both Master and servants had gotten through the gates of house Mistica holding gifts for the king’s beloved first wife.

"Emerald "!,Lorien’s face lit up smiling upon her visit. She hugged her and invited her for tea in the royal garden .

Both ladies walked hand in hand discussing royal and political matters of society .

"I heard Aquaria would be partaking in the event ", Lorien asked in a low tone .

Emerald simply nodded and gave her a pat on the shoulders telling her everything would go according to plan .

They walked for a while before theyfinally sat down to have tea together .

For a while there ,an awkward silence fell between them . Emerald had been bubbling up with so many questions to ask her , like why she left the royal palace .

She called out her name and finally had the courage to ask her after a long while of contemplating whether to ask or not .

Taken aback by what she heard from Emerald’s lips there were dark shades on her eyes .

“ Leaving the royal palace was one of the best decisions I could ever make , I did it for my son Emerald " , she said with little drops of tears flowing down her cheeks .

" You did it for Volk "? , she asked sounding confused .

" Yes , I made a pact with Sylvia many years ago back when my son was suffering from his lung disease and only she knew how to conjure medicine and herbs " .

As she continued she got to know Sylvia had laid down conditions for Lorien to follow .

The first was to move out of the royal palace once the young Prince was of age and the second was for her to never mention any of this to the emperor .

She broke down into tears and out of no where her son had arrived .

"Mother "! , he called out with a stern face .

" I thought I told you not to cry over such things which are in the past , you chose me over father and now we live peacefully far away from that witch Sylvia ".

Emerald sat there having a quick glimpse from a chapter in the novel she now lived in.

The truth was the king never loved Sylvia and only married herto strengthen the political alliance between Wisteria and Mistica realms .

Sylvia had agreed because she found his Majesty handsome and he was quite the powerful sourceror himself as well as a brilliant scholar .

The emperor had been warned of her coming by Lord Fildermort for he had heard many atrocities about her.

"Lorien "! , Emerald called out standing .

" I’ll promise you this , I’ll get you and Prince Volk back into the palace where you are meant to be ".

She was really assured because she believed no one knows a story better than the author herself.

She had promised herself to drive Sylvia out of the realm by any means even if it meant publicly humiliating her .

She grinned deeply internally plotting all the things she would do against Sylvia .

Sooner than they knew the Alliance festival had arrived as quickly as it was told.
