I was late.
My shoes tapped nervously against the polished stone floor as I slipped through the tall double doors. The classroom was huge, cold, and silent—until every head turned toward me.
I froze.
And then I saw him.
Professor JEON JUNGKOOK stood at the front of the room like he owned the air itself. Sharp suit, sharper eyes. His presence wasn’t loud, but it was heavy—like gravity bent around him differently. I didn’t even know what an Alpha was supposed to feel like. But I was pretty sure I was looking at one.

"You're late"
He said simply.
No anger. No surprise. Just… control.
My heart skipped. I hated that it skipped.

I Mumbled, ducking my head and rushing to an empty seat in the back.
I tried to focus. Really, I did. But something felt wrong. My skin itched. My chest was tight. Heat crawled up the back of my neck like invisible hands. I tugged at my collar. My mouth was dry. The world felt loud.
His voice. Every word he spoke hit me like a wave—sharp, low, commanding. I didn’t know whether I wanted to listen… or kneel.

I was sweating now. Trembling. My fingertips were numb. What was happening to me
Across the room, Professor Jeon paused mid-sentence.
He sniffed the air. Just once. Then again—slower. His eyes moved, scanning the room like a predator catching a scent. They stopped when they landed on me.

"Everyone"
He said, voice tight but level,

Chairs scraped. Whispers rose. But he didn’t take his eyes off me. Not once.
The door closed behind the last student.I blinked, struggling to stay conscious. Everything smelled like static and smoke and him.
He walked toward me. Each step deliberate. Controlled.

"You didn’t know, did you?”
I shook my head slowly, the motion dizzying.
KIM TAEHYUNG (OMEGA/19 yrs)
“I don’t… I didn’t even know I was an Omega,” I whispered, voice cracking. “I thought something was wrong with me.”
Professor Jeon let out a long breath through his nose. Not a sigh—a warning, like he was holding something back. Something dangerous.
JEON JUNGKOOK (ALPHA/30 yrs)
“I need you to breathe, Taehyung.”
He knew my name. I hadn’t told him.He knelt in front of me, his eyes no longer cold—but intense. Like a wall about to crack.

“You’re in pre-heat,”

I nodded slowly, eyes wide. I could barely think at all. All I could feel was him. His scent wrapped around me—cedarwood and ash and stormy skies—and it was driving me insane.

“I-It hurts…" I whispered.
JEON JUNGKOOK (ALPHA/30 yrs)
Jeon’s jaw tightened. “I know.”
He pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and pressed it gently to my forehead. His touch was careful—almost clinical. Like he was forcing himself to keep control.
KIM TAEHYUNG (OMEGA/19 yrs)
“Why does it smell like you?” I asked before I could stop myself.
JEON JUNGKOOK (ALPHA/30 yrs)
“…Because your body’s responding to mine,” he said after a moment. “It’s common. Especially with… stronger Alphas.”
KIM TAEHYUNG (OMEGA/19 yrs)
“Am I going to—” I gasped, choking on my own breath. “Am I going to change?”
JEON JUNGKOOK (ALPHA/30 yrs)
“No,” he said firmly. “You’re not going to change. You’re just awakening. This is natural.”
I nodded again. But tears stung my eyes.
KIM TAEHYUNG (OMEGA/19 yrs)
“It doesn’t feel natural.”
Jungkook stood slowly, and for a second, he looked like he might walk away.
Then he reached for his tie—loosening it just slightly—and sat in the chair beside me. Not touching. Just near. His scent swelled like a tide—warm and commanding—and my body shivered from it.
KIM TAEHYUNG (OMEGA/19 yrs)
“Professor…” I whispered. “Why are you helping me?”
He looked down at his hands, clenched tightly in his lap.

“I shouldn’t be.”
Then, softer—like the words hurt him:

Jungkook's voice had dropped to something barely audible.
JEON JUNGKOOK (ALPHA/30 yrs)
“I swore I’d never touch an Omega again.”
His words shouldn’t have hurt. But they did.
My throat tightened. I didn’t know why. Maybe it was the rejection… or the way his scent curled around my lungs, like my body had already chosen him without asking me first.
I shifted in my seat, trying to breathe through the pressure between my legs, the heat blooming behind my eyes. My skin burned under my uniform. It was like my body was begging—without words, without dignity.
jungkook turned his head sharply, sensing it.
He growled. Low. Deep. Controlled—but only barely.

“Stop moving.”
His voice wasn’t loud, but it wrapped around my spine like a leash. I didn’t know I could obey someone that fast. My thighs locked together, my body still trembling.
He stood suddenly and paced two steps away, dragging his hand through his hair.

“This is wrong,” he muttered to himself. “He’s too young. He’s my student. He doesn’t even know what he’s asking for.”

I Looked down, ashamed. I hated that I was like this. Needy. Weak. So obviously… Omega.
He must have seen that shame on my face, because his expression changed. His shoulders relaxed, just slightly.

“This isn’t your fault,” he said. “You were unprepared. Someone should’ve trained you for this. They should’ve taught you how to suppress it.”
He exhaled hard, nostrils flaring as he tried to get my scent out of his head.

“But they didn’t. And now I have to be the one to keep you safe.”

“From who?” I asked, voice barely there.

“From me.”
He moved closer, slow and steady—like approaching something fragile, something wild.
I didn't flinch. I should have.
He knelt in front of me again and reached into the inner pocket of his coat, pulling out a small vial.

“Scent blocker,” he explained. “I can dull your heat, but only for a short time. The suppressant shots take hours to work—and I don’t trust anyone else enough to take you there.”
He paused, holding the vial in his hand like it was dangerous.

“But you have to let me apply it. On your neck.”
My breath hitched. My skin tingled where he was looking. The spot below my jaw, where an Alpha might one day mark me.
This wasn’t a bite. Wasn’t a bond.
But it felt just as intimate.

“O-Okay,” I whispered.
He uncorked the vial. The scent was sharp—herbal and cold. It clashed hard against his own, and I whimpered as it hit my nose.

“Tilt your head.”he commanded

He leaned in. I felt the warmth of his breath just before his fingers touched my throat—gloved, but still electric. He rubbed the oil in gently, slowly. My body jolted at the contact. Not because it hurt—but because it didn’t.

“You’re doing good,” he murmured. Voice lower. Thicker.
He lingered a second too long.
Then he pulled away, fast. Like he’d burned himself on me.
JEON JUNGKOOK (ALPHA/30 yrs)
“That’ll buy you time,” he said, standing up again. His voice was back to being sharp. Controlled. Distant.

“Next time,” he added coldly, turning his back, “don’t come to class unprepared.”
The words stung more than they should have.

“Professor…”
He stopped at the door but didn’t turn.
