Mrs. Moretti by Force
Episode 1
A luxurious wedding Hall. Warm lights, violin music, chatter of excited guests. But not everyone's smiling...
Jerry sites alone at around table near the back of the decorated hall. Her gown is elegant- sky blue, simple but striking. She sips on a glass of water emotionless.
Weddings. Loud music. Fake laughter. Forced smiles.
Everyone’s excited… except the bride.
The groom stands on the stage, all smiles for the crowd. But he keeps checking his watch.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(glances at her phone) Running late, huh?
A group of women giggle beside her table. Someone compliments the decoration. But Jerry’s eyes slowly drift toward the back door of the hall. Something feels...off.
Jerry silently gets up, heels barely clicking, and moves toward the hallway behind the curtain. She stops near the door — half-open — where muffled voices echo.
Elaine Campbell (FL Mom)
(hissing)
She’s gone! What do we do now?!
Richard Campbell (FL Dad)
She ran?! That idiot! The groom’s family will ruin us if we cancel now!
Elaine Campbell (FL Mom)
We made a deal. A big one. If this falls through, we’re dead.
Richard Campbell (FL Dad)
We need a replacement. Fast.
Jerry pulls back from the door, heartbeat rising
Jerry Campbell (FL)
"They can’t mean what I think they mean…"
Elaine Campbell (FL Mom)
What about Jerry?
Richard Campbell (FL Dad)
She’s here. She fits the dress size. She’s prettier than Isla anyway.
Jerry rushes back to her table.
Sits down quickly, breathing hard. Trying to stay calm.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
No. No way. They wouldn’t dare.
In the Hallway the parents step out to look around.
Elaine Campbell (FL Mom)
(smiling at guests)
Everything’s fine! Just a small delay!
Her smile fades when her eyes lock on Jerry.
Richard Campbell (FL Dad)
(quietly to a guard)
Don’t let her leave.
Jerry sees guards move towards the exit.
She picks up her clutch and starts to walk fast toward the back door. A hand grabs her arm.
Guard
Mr. Campbell needs a word.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(coldly)
Tell him I’m not interested.
Guard
(tightening grip):
It wasn’t a request.
Jerry is pushed inside. The door shuts behind her. Her parents are already there — tense, panicking, desperate. Jerry folds her arms, glaring.
Richard Campbell (FL Dad)
(low, urgent)
Your sister ran away.
Elaine Campbell (FL Mom)
The wedding has to happen, Jerry. You’ll take her place.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(icy calm)
Are you serious right now? You think I’m some backup dress to zip into?
Richard Campbell (FL Dad)
(snapping)
Don’t make this harder. Just do it.
Elaine Campbell (FL Mom)
(manipulative, softening)
We raised you. Fed you. Paid for your school. You wouldn’t have that professor job if it wasn’t for us. This is the only thing we’ve ever asked for.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(sharply)
One thing?
Selling me off like I’m a clearance item is the one thing?
Richard Campbell (FL Dad)
(angrily)
Don’t act like you’re better than us. You owe us everything.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
You think putting food in your kid’s mouth gives you the right to auction her off?
Elaine Campbell (FL Mom)
(frustrated)
Do you want us dead, Jerry?! This marriage isn’t just a wedding — it’s our survival. If it doesn’t happen, he’ll destroy us.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(quiet but cutting)
Then maybe you should marry him
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(stepping back, voice steady)
I’m not your puppet.
I’ve been on my own since I was 18 — I don’t owe you anything
Richard Campbell (FL Dad)
(warning tone)
Watch how you talk to your parents.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(furious now)
I do owe you, right?
Fine. I’ll pay you back. Every single penny.
And once I’m done...
You’ll never see me or another damn favor from me again.
The room goes silent. Jerry's chest rises and falls with emotion, but she doesn’t cry. She refuses to.
Episode 2
The priest stands nervously before the gathering. Jerry and Dario Marquez face each other. Jerry looks stiff, distant. The crowd watches expectantly.
Priest
Do you, Mr. Dario Marquez, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?
Dario Rivera
(with a smug smile)
I do.
Priest
(turns to Jerry)
And do you, Miss Jerry Campbell, take this man to be your—
—BOOM.
The main door swings open with a violent slam.
Boots echo. Guests turn. A tall, dark man steps in. Lucien Moretti. Black Italian suit. Gloves. Cold presence. Deadly calm.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(low, unwavering)
She doesn’t.
Gasps ripple through the hall. The priest stumbles over his words. Jerry turns slowly, confused.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(walking down the aisle like it's his kingdom)
I object.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(to the priest)
This wedding is canceled
Dario Rivera
(furious)
Who the hell do you think you are?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(cold smile)
The man your bride’s father made a deal with.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
Jerry Campbell was promised.
She’s mine.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(stunned)
W-What? Promised?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(to her, calm and ruthless)
Your father couldn’t pay what he owed.
So he gave me you.
His silence today told me he hoped no one would notice.
Dario Rivera
(laughs bitterly)
You’re insane. The debt’s paid. I gave the money.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(deadly calm)
I didn’t ask for money.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(draws his gun and shoots Dario in the leg — brutal, clean, a warning)
I asked for her.
Dario screams and drops. Panic in the room. Lucien doesn’t even flinch.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(to Jerry, now just feet away)
So... Miss Campbell.
You can finish this wedding.
With me
Or we can have another funeral.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
Y-You’re serious.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(soft but dangerous)
Deadly.
Silence. His men close the exits. The priest trembles. Jerry looks at the blood on the floor... then at the devil standing in front of her in a suit.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(offering his hand)
Say “I do.”
Jerry sits stiffly, wedding dress wrinkled. Her eyes fixed outside the window. Lucien sits beside her, quiet, calm. He pours himself a drink.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
You really think you can just shoot someone and take me?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
I didn’t hear you complain back there, and no one has the guts to complain.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
Your men were blocking the door.
What was I supposed to do? Fly out the window?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(smirks)
You’ve got fire. I like that.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
I’m not here for you to “like.”
Why me?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
Because your father promised you to me.
To delay his death.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
And you said yes?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
Didn’t say yes.
Didn’t say no.
But after tonight…
I made my choice.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
So I’m just part of some deal?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(turns to her)
No.
You’re mine now.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(angry)
I’ll never love you.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(calm)
Good.
I’m not asking for love.
Just loyalty.
Jerry goes quiet. Her hands tighten in her lap. She doesn’t look at him.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(glancing sideways)
So…
Do you always ruin weddings, or was mine just special?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(without looking at her)
Yours was messy.
I don’t like mess.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(mutters)
Oh, what a lucky bride I am.
He says nothing. Jerry exhales, rests her head back for a second, then—
Jerry Campbell (FL)
You don’t talk much, huh?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(dry) I talk when it matters.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
Riiight. The strong, silent, and slightly homicidal type.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(glances at her)
Would you prefer charming liars?
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(blinks, pauses)
Okay.
Point taken.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
You always carry a gun?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(coldly)
Wouldn’t you, if you had enemies who smile with knives?
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(quiet)
I had parents who did the same.
Just… no knives.
Lucien looks at her for a second — something unreadable flickers, then fades
Jerry Campbell (FL)
What do you even do, anyway?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
Business
Jerry Campbell (FL)
...That’s it? I doubt…
Lucien Moretti (ML)
It’s better if you don’t know more than that.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(eye-roll)
So mysterious. You could be selling cookies or corpses and I wouldn’t know.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(Smirks faintly)
Not cookies.
Jerry leans back, huffs a little laugh despite herself
Jerry Campbell (FL)
And your family’s in the same “business”?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
More or less.
I’ve got two younger brothers.
Both little crazy.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(murmurs)
And I’m stuck in the middle of all this...
She falls silent again. The car turns into a long driveway lined with lights
Jerry Campbell (FL)
What about your parents?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(flat)
Out of the country.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(nods, almost whispers)
Mine should be on another planet.
Lucien says nothing, but his jaw clenches slightly.
Jerry's head leans slightly against the window. The lights outside flicker as they pass, casting soft shadows across her face. Her breathing slows.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(glances at her)
...
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(murmurs, eyes half-shut)
Just... five minutes... not asking for much...
She shifts and then goes still. She's fast asleep
Guard
(softly from the front)
Sir. We’ve arrived.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
Nods once
The car door opens. Lucien steps out. Then leans in—pauses—watching her sleep for a moment.
His footsteps echo lightly on the marble floor. Staff step aside silently. No one speaks as Lucien carries her upstairs, straight to his room.
He sets her down carefully on the bed. She stirs slightly, murmurs
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(half-asleep)
Mm... this isn’t the taxi...
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(softly, brushing a strand of hair from her cheek)
No.
It’s hell with a better mattress.
She smiles faintly in her sleep
He pulls the blanket up gently, then stands back, watching her for a moment
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(quietly to himself)
What am I doing with you...
Episode 3
Soft light filters through sheer curtains. The room is silent, elegant, cold. Jerry stirs beneath silk sheets.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(blinking at the ceiling)
Where...?
She sits up abruptly. Eyes dart around. Real silk bedding. Massive room. Suit jacket draped over the chair. Her dress wrinkled at the foot of the bed
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(gasps, remembering)
The wedding.
Oh god... I actually—
She pauses, touches her ring finger. A simple but expensive band rests there. She flinches.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(muttering to herself)
This can’t be real.
She gets out of bed slowly, barefoot on the cool floor. Finds a note on the bedside table
Note – In neat, sharp handwriting:
"Get cleaned up. You’ll find clothes in the wardrobe. Breakfast is downstairs."
-Lucien.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(reading it aloud)
Not even a "good morning", huh?
She opens the wardrobe and finds a clean, modest but expensive outfit in her size. She freshens up, gets dressed, takes a deep breath, and opens the door.
The long dining table is laid with quiet elegance. Lucien sits at the head, black coffee in hand, newspaper folded beside him. He’s dressed in a dark shirt, sleeves rolled, unbothered.
Footsteps.
Jerry walks in slowly, dressed in a simple fresh outfit, hair damp from a quick shower. She looks around the mansion, still disoriented.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(half to herself):
Okay… Definitely not a dream.
She steps in carefully. Lucien doesn't look up yet. She sits — not too close. Not too far. Still unsure how to breathe in this space
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(softly)
Good morning.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(without looking up)
You're late.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(quirks a brow)
You should try “Good morning” sometime. It’s magical
Before Lucien can reply, the doors open again
Footsteps. Voices. Four men walk in casually — joking, unaware.
It’s Lucien’s brothers.
Enzo Moretti (ML Bro)
(Neatly dressed)
Well, good to see the house still standing.
Matteo Moretti (ML Bro)
If I knew breakfast came with surprises, I’d visit more often.
They both stop when they spot Jerry sitting at the table. Their faces change
Enzo Moretti (ML Bro)
Who’s she?
Matteo Moretti (ML Bro)
Wait… is she—?
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(Calmly, sipping coffee)
She’s my wife.
Enzo Moretti (ML Bro)
(shocked)
YOU GOT MARRIED?
Matteo Moretti (ML Bro)
(to Jerry)
To you? Really?
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(gives a small, awkward smile)
Hi. I’m Jerry. I guess I’m your sister-in-law now.
Matteo Moretti (ML Bro)
(blinks)
Wow. This is… not what I expected.
Enzo Moretti (ML Bro)
(to Lucien):
You said you were going to ‘settle a debt’… not settle down
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(Stands up, smooth)
Plans changed.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(straightens up)
And no, this wasn’t my plan either.
Also, I’m a literature professor. Not part of any mafia.
Matteo Moretti (ML Bro)
(smirking)
A professor? You’re really shaking things up around here.
Enzo Moretti (ML Bro)
(half-smiling)
Well… welcome, Jerry.
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(Pausing at the door, his voice calm but sharp)
It's Mrs. Moretti… or sister-in-law.
Call her “Jerry” again and we’ll have a problem.
The room goes quiet. Enzo raises an eyebrow, surprised. Matteo lets out a low whistle.
Matteo Moretti (ML Bro)
(murmuring)
Damn. He’s serious about this one.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(Blinks, a little stunned):
O-Okay then…
Lucien Moretti (ML)
(without turning around)
Good. Boys, make her feel at home. I’ve got business
He walks out, leaving an awkward silence behind. Jerry exhales and reaches for her coffee like she needs it more than air.
The opulent Moretti dining room. Morning sunlight spills across the marble. Lucien has gone. Jerry gets up from the table, ready to leave—when a voice stops her.
Matteo Moretti (ML Bro)
(without looking up)
Running away already?
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(pauses, raising a brow)
Didn’t realize breakfast included an interrogation.
Enzo Moretti (ML Bro)
(grinning as he sips his coffee)
You’ve got spark. That’s rare in this house.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
What a comforting way to begin the day.
Matteo Moretti (ML Bro)
Lucien doesn’t bring people into this house without reason.
But marrying someone? That’s not like him.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(quietly)
You think I’m a threat?
Matteo Moretti (ML Bro)
(leans back)
You’re not. Not yet.
(smirking)
But you could be. That's what makes you interesting.
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(stiffens)
I'm not here to play games.
Enzo Moretti (ML Bro)
(calmly, sipping coffee)
No one plays games here, Mrs. Moretti.
We survive them.
A pause settles. Jerry looks between the two. Enzo is composed and unreadable. Mateo wears danger like perfume—charming, but poisonous
Jerry Campbell (FL)
(firmly)
Then I’ll learn the rules. And win.
Enzo Moretti (ML Bro)
(laughs lowly)
Oh, I like her.
Matteo Moretti (ML Bro)
(with a slight nod)
Let’s hope Lucien does too—for your sake.
