Blood Roots

The Fire That Divides

Setting: 10,000 years ago – before civilization, where mankind is split into primal tribes.

[Opening Scene]

(Dark clouds drift above a vast forest. The screen cuts to fire crackling. Bones, blood, and chants fill the air.)

Narrator (Voice-over):

“Before time was written… before cities, laws, or even gods… there were only tribes. And each tribe bore one truth — kill, or be killed. Peace? That was a lie told by the weak.”

[Scene 1: Inside the Flamefang Tribe]

The Flamefangs, a brutal warrior tribe, are sharpening bone blades. Children are trained to stab dummies made of dried corpses. A teen boy, Karo, watches silently as his older brother, Drak, crushes another boy’s skull in training.

Karo (thinking):

“I don’t want to kill... But to live, I must.”

A horn sounds. War drums echo. The leader, Chief Brall, speaks.

Chief Brall:

“Tonight, we hunt the Ash Eyes! Take their women, take their fire, burn their trees! No tribe must live but ours!”

Cheers erupt. Karo’s hand trembles around his dagger.

[Scene 2: Ash Eye Tribe Camp]

Far in the swamp lands, the Ash Eye Tribe, known for using poison and illusions, prepares for an incoming attack. Their chief, an old blind woman named Mother Nasha, touches the wet earth.

Mother Nasha:

“The blood of Flamefangs walks toward us. They bring death. But we… bring the end.”

Her granddaughter, Liri, tightens her bowstring. She’s calm, focused, deadly.

Liri:

“If they want death, we’ll give them a forest of corpses.”

[Scene 3: War Begins – Night Battle]

The forest turns red as torches move in. Karo moves with his unit, hiding fear in his eyes. Drak is grinning, thirsty for blood.

Drak:

“If you don’t kill, you die like the Lastbloods did. Weak fools.”

They charge in.

The Ash Eyes ambush from the trees. Arrows dipped in venom fly. Screams. Chaos.

Karo freezes when a young Ash Eye girl aims at him. They’re the same age — barely 14. Her hand trembles too. They lock eyes. She’s scared… just like him.

But Drak appears behind the girl and slices her throat open, blood spraying over Karo.

Drak:

“Hesitate again, and you’re next.”

Karo stares at the girl’s body, broken and bleeding in the mud.

[Scene 4: Back at Flamefang Camp – Aftermath]

Victorious cheers. They’ve burned the Ash Eye village. Prisoners scream. Karo vomits behind a hut.

A Flamefang warrior slaps his back.

Warrior:

“Your first taste, eh? It gets easier.”

Karo whispers:

Karo:

“...I don’t want it to.”

He looks up at the smoke rising from the forest. He hears cries of babies, smell of burnt wood and flesh.

[Scene 5: Flashback to the Past — The “One Blood” Myth]

Narrator (Voice-over):

“Long ago, there was only one tribe — One Blood. But greed broke them apart. Now, every kind wants the others dead. Peace was lost with the stars…”

A cave painting shows humans killing humans — red handprints over faded suns.

[Scene 6: Secret Meeting – Forbidden Thoughts]

Karo sneaks out at night. He meets someone — Eya, a girl from the Stoneveil Tribe. They’ve been meeting secretly for moons.

Eya:

“We weren’t born enemies. They made us enemies.”

Karo:

“If they knew we met, we’d both be skinned alive.”

They hold hands. She gives him a charm carved from tree bark.

Eya:

“Someday, the tribes must unite. Or we’ll all die alone.”

Karo:

“They’ll never let that happen.”

Suddenly, rustling. A Flamefang scout sees them — eyes wide.

Scout:

“Traitor!”

He runs, but Karo throws a spear — hitting him in the back.

Karo:

“...I didn’t want to kill him. But I had to.”

Eya stares in horror.

[Final Scene: The Spark of War]

Back in the Flamefang camp, Drak announces that all scouts reported seeing Stoneveil spies. He calls for a war council.

Chief Brall:

“Then let the Stoneveil fall next! They all want to kill us — so we’ll strike first.”

Drak:

“We are Flamefangs. We are the end of other kinds!”

Karo looks at his bloodied hands. Then at Eya’s charm.

Narrator (Voice-over):

“In a world where every kind wants the others dead… can one heart stop the blood from flowing?”

Karo is forced into a war against the tribe of the girl he secretly loves. A secret prophecy is revealed — one human from “One Blood” will unite or destroy them all.

Stoneveil Shall Burn

Setting: 10,000 years ago — humanity is divided into violent, primal tribes trying to wipe each other out.

[Opening Scene – Dawn Before Blood]

The Flamefang camp stirs at first light. The warriors are oiling their bodies with animal fat and painting red war marks. The drums beat like a heart ready to burst.

Chief Brall stands before the warband:

Chief Brall:

“Today, the forest drinks Stoneveil blood! Burn their roots! Slay their breath! No child leaves alive!”

Drak, now second-in-command, grins as he places a jagged tooth in his mouth — a war ritual. Beside him, Karo silently sharpens his blade, hiding the bark-carved charm from Eya inside his pouch.

[Scene 2 – Stoneveil Village]

In the calm green of the Stoneveil forest, Eya warns her people of the incoming Flamefang raid.

The Stoneveil Elders, peaceful but cunning, argue:

Elder Ruk:

“We must hide. Let them pass.”

Elder Zuni:

“No. Let them bleed. Poison their roots and trap their breath.”

Eya:

“They’ll come. And this time, they won’t stop until we all rot.”

She clutches a scroll — an ancient piece of tree bark with the One Blood Prophecy on it.

[Scene 3 – The Prophecy of One Blood]

In secret, Eya reads it aloud:

“When the son of fire and daughter of roots spill blood and heart for each other, the red storm will end, or all shall perish.”

She pauses.

Eya:

“It’s about us… Me and Karo.”

[Scene 4 – On the March]

As the Flamefang army marches through the trees, Drak laughs with the other warriors, talking about burning children and slicing tongues.

Karo hangs back.

He whispers to himself:

Karo:

“Is this what being strong means? Becoming a beast?”

A moment later, they’re ambushed — a sudden burst of arrows and gas. Stoneveil traps.

Half the warriors scream as venom arrows pierce flesh. Flamefang warriors drop, twitching.

Drak bellows:

Drak:

“COWARDS! COME OUT AND DIE PROPERLY!”

But Karo realizes the forest is luring them in.

[Scene 5 – The Forest of the Dead]

The Flamefangs step into a false clearing. The moment they do — hidden spike pits open. Half the vanguard falls. Screams and bone crunches.

From the trees, Eya watches the bloodshed — eyes full of guilt. She sees Karo, wounded but alive.

They lock eyes again — but her commander sees it too.

Stoneveil Commander:

“Do you know him?”

Eya lies:

“He’s my enemy.”

But deep inside, her heart cracks.

[Scene 6 – Karo vs. His Own Tribe]

Karo saves a wounded young Flamefang boy named Rik, only 10. As Karo drags him to safety, Drak confronts him.

Drak:

“What are you doing? Leave the weak. Let the trees eat him!”

Karo:

“He’s Flamefang. He’s one of us.”

Drak:

“No. He’s weak. Just like you.”

Drak charges him in rage, slashing his shoulder. They fight — briefly, brutally. Karo is knocked back, but he survives.

[Scene 7 – The Escape]

Night falls. The ambush turns into chaos. Both sides suffer heavy losses. Karo breaks away into the forest, wounded and alone.

He finds Eya waiting — near the ancient stone shrine known as "The Root of Man".

She places her bow down.

Eya:

“I should kill you.”

Karo:

“I should kill you too.”

Silence.

Then Karo collapses from blood loss.

Eya catches him.

[Scene 8 – A Dangerous Choice]

Eya tends to Karo’s wounds inside a hidden Stoneveil cave. He wakes up.

Karo:

“Why did you save me?”

Eya:

“Because if we keep killing, there won’t be anyone left.”

They hear the sound of Stoneveil warriors searching the forest. If they find Karo, he’s dead.

Eya:

“Go. Run now. Before they see you.”

But Karo grabs her wrist.

Karo:

“Come with me.”

She freezes.

[Final Scene – The Flame of Rebellion]

As Karo runs back into the forest, his body aching, he looks back at the village — at Eya — and realizes he’s no longer part of Flamefang.

Karo (voice-over):

“If the tribes want to burn the world, then I’ll burn them back. I won’t be theirs. I’ll be my own.”

He rips off his Flamefang mark from his chest.

Karo is marked as a traitor by Flamefang and hunted like a beast. Meanwhile, Eya is put on trial for treason. A new tribe enters the world — the Flesh-Eaters — and their arrival changes everything.

The Forsaken Kind

[Scene 1 – Flamefang Camp: The Sentence]

Inside a blood-soaked tent, Chief Brall sits on a throne made of burnt bones. Before him kneels Drak, covered in cuts, teeth gritted.

Drak:

“My brother betrayed the blood. He saved an enemy. He ran.”

Chief Brall:

“Then he is no longer Flamefang. He is Forsaken.”

The entire camp erupts in a chant:

“Forsaken! Forsaken! Forsaken!”

Chief Brall:

“Bring me his head. Or bring me yours.”

Drak bows with a twisted smile.

[Scene 2 – Stoneveil Village: Trial of the Heart]

Eya stands before the Stoneveil Elders, accused of hiding an enemy. Her bow is stripped from her.

Elder Zuni:

“You risked your blood for a Flamefang?”

Eya:

“He’s not one of them anymore.”

Elder Ruk:

“So you’d betray your kin for love?”

Eya:

“No. For peace.”

They pause. Mother Nasha, the blind elder, speaks:

Mother Nasha:

“Then let her live. But she walks no path of ours now.”

She’s exiled — not killed, but stripped of her place among the tribe.

Eya walks alone, clutching only the bark-scroll of the One Blood Prophecy.

[Scene 3 – Deep Woods: Karo’s Nightmare]

Karo, weak and feverish, stumbles through a black forest. The trees here are twisted, rotted. He finds ancient carvings on the trees — human bones tied to them with blood-rope.

Suddenly, growling.

Figures crawl from the shadows. Naked, pale-skinned humans with bloody mouths and bone piercings.

They sniff him.

Stranger (whispering):

“You smell like fear... and betrayal.”

The Flesh-Eaters have arrived.

[Scene 4 – New Tribe: The Flesh-Eaters]

Karo is dragged into a pit — hundreds of feet wide, filled with bones and flame.

The Flesh-Eater Chieftain, a monstrous man named Gorung, emerges.

He’s covered in tattoos, wears a mask made of stitched human faces.

Gorung:

“We are what the tribes fear. We are what they hide.”

Karo:

“You’re monsters…”

Gorung:

“We were once like you. Banished. Betrayed. Broken. Now we feast on what’s left of ‘kinds’ like yours.”

They circle him, preparing to sacrifice him.

Gorung:

“Die, and you rot. Rise, and you kill. Choose, Forsaken One.”

[Scene 5 – Eya Finds Him]

In the dead of night, Eya tracks the trail. She sees the pit.

She watches from the shadows as Karo is beaten, prepared for sacrifice.

She notches an arrow, whispering:

Eya:

“Don’t die, you idiot... I haven’t saved you twice just for you to get eaten.”

She fires — headshot. One Flesh-Eater drops.

Chaos breaks out.

She charges in.

[Scene 6 – Escape and Vow]

The two fight their way out. Karo, half-dead, but his instincts awaken — he stabs one, rips another’s jaw off.

They run through the trees.

Blood pours from their wounds.

They stop under a cave, breathing heavy.

Eya:

“You almost became one of them.”

Karo:

“Maybe I still am.”

She slaps him.

Eya:

“No. You’re more than them. More than all of them.”

Karo:

“Then I’ll prove it.”

He stands, teeth clenched.

Karo:

“I’ll kill the ones who tried to kill me. All of them. And I’ll start with Drak.”

Narrator (Voice-over):

“One heart. One flame. One blood. The tribes don’t know it yet… but war is no longer between them. War is within.”

[Final Scene – Drak’s March]

Drak stands with a warband of 30 Flamefang elites, tracking Karo’s trail.

They find the dead Flesh-Eaters. The pit burned. Gorung is gone.

Drak (grinning):

“So the little snake fights now.”

He drops his torch, igniting the forest edge.

Drak:

“Let him come. Let the Forsaken die like a man.”

[End of Episode 3]
