...As the warm air breezes past Essi he decided he's prepared to take the final jump in his journey. As he goes to jump the faint whisper of his mothers last words comes back to him "you will never be good enough" Essi doesn't cry he hasn't cried for a while now he doesn't feel anything hasnt felt anything for awhile. Essi gets up onto the ledge of the bridge. Then whispers "Its time to end this. I'm coming home" As Essi jumps and is falling to his death all the memories of his family and school life come back to him. His moms abuse, his dads absence, the only family he had left him. He's been living on his own for about two years now. "Do I want to die?" Essi thinks to himself but he already knows the answer to that question. He's been prepared to die for awhile now. As he opens his eyes he sees the water and all the people watching as he falls to his death. When he hita the water he blacks out and is prepared to drown. The faint screaming of the people at the beach can be heard. The faint voice of a man can be heard saying "Your going to be ok kid you got this fight it wake up come on!". As Essi's eyes open faintly he sees a man who looks oddly familiar performing CPR on him. "Let me die you fool!" Essi screams at the man for saving his life. Essi takes a look around and spots a girl with pink hair in a bikini watching from the background. Essi thinks to himself "She's really cute" Essi tries to get up but can move his body as he tries he just screams in pain. A crowd of screaming comes from the crowd at the beach. Essi passes out and faintly hears "Call the paramedics" ...

6 Days Pass

Essi wakes up alone in the hospital he can finally move his body again but it still hurts to move. As the doctor comes in Essi sighs remembering the guy that saved his life. "Curse you" Essi says in his mind.

Doc: So how did this happen to you?

Essi: Whats it look like I jumped off a bridge to my death. But was saved by some guy.

Doc: Ok well do you mind telling me what happened or why you wanted to kill yourself?

Essi: No get out of here ill be leaving in 3 days anyway.

Doc: Well make me a promise you won't kill yourself at least not until the end of the school year.

Essi: Fine whatever.

3 days go by

When Essi stepped out of the hospital ready to just go home and get ready for school a rush of news vans swarm Essi like vultures ready to get the scoop of what happened. "Sir sir why did you do it?" Essi takes a look at them all and ask "What do you mean" The news reporters look at him and one of them says "Your suicide attempt is all over the news and internet." Essi gets shocked and just looks at them. Essi decided he isnt gonna deal with them and just rents a bike and goes home.

The day is young the light over the horizon can barley be seen. "Its time." Essi says with a sigh as he gets out of bed. Essi stumbles around the room for a minute as his eyes adjust to the light. He gets his clothes on and leaves for school forgetting to eat breakfast. As he gets on his bike he is reminded of the girl from the day before. Her beautiful pink hair flowing in the wind. "Its hard to shake her out of my mind" Essi scuffs at himself. As Essi enters his college he can feel the needle like stare from everyone around him. Essi can hear the remarks they are making about his failed suicide attempt. As the bell rings its time for his first class Math. Essi starts to zone out when a slam comes down on his desk. "So a little bird told me you failed at suicide imagine failing at something so easy." Zane the school bully says to him

Essi: Well goodmorning to you to and its not my fault someone polled me out of the water

Zane: Yeah Yeah whatever next time just hang yourself dont make it public no one cares about you or if you go missing.

Essi: Thanks will do...

As Zane walks away the teacher comes in "Good morning class today we have a new transfer student everyone give a warm welcome to Zero!" The teacher finishes talking as the girl from the beach walks in. Essi can't stop thinking about how her long pink hair flows down to her shoulders. "Hello everyone im Zero" Zero says as she takes a seat next to Essi.

Zero: Hey

Essi: What up

Zero: So why did you?

Essi: What do you mean?

Zero: I mean why did you try to kill yourself.

Essi: Shut up im done talking

Zero: Fine geez you should know everyone is talking about you, Your attempt was filmed on camera the entire thing.

Essi: ...

..."Why would I tell her to shut up im so stupid" Essi thinks to himself. The day goes by pretty quickly. Essi gets up from his last bell and goes out into the hallway. "Thats him he's the guy who tried to do it" A random girl says while passing Essi. "Why do I not fit in?" Essi says aloud. "Hey please stop my mom gave me that it was a gift before she died just please give it back" A under classmate says to Zane as Zane takes a locket from the kids neck. Essi doesnt think he just does. Essi runs up to Zane and just right hooks Zane. He gets up a second later "You little shit Zane says while spitting out blood. As Zane charges Essi and throws a left hook at Essi, Essi just moves to the right a little. Zane misses his shot and just stumbles over. At this point they have a crowd of people watching. Zane gets up and lands a hit on Essi but it doesn't faze Essi. Then Zane insults Essi's failed suicide attempt. With that remark Essi just lays Zane to the ground but thats not enough to satisfy Essi. As Essi gets on top of Zane he starts laying punches on Zane. After about 5 hits Essi gets off and walks past the crowd of people and heads home. While on the trail home Essi gets a feeling that he is being watched so he turns around and sees Zero just walking behind him. Thinking she's just going home he continues home. When he gets home get lays on the couch and thinks back to what Zane told him in class. "Maybe he is right maybe I do need to hang myself maybe everyone will be happier without me." Essi says with a soft faint hint of sadness in his voice. *knock knock knock knock* Essi kinda jumps at the sound of his door being knocked on. He goes to the door and opens it. To Essi's surprise there she is Zero standing in his apartments doorway....

"What are you doing here?" Essi says while looking at Zero with a blank expression.

"I was coming to check up on you that fight today was pretty gruesome Zane left with a broken nose." Zero said with a worrisome expression.

"Don't worry about me I can handle myself I have been since I was 15 im good" Essi frustratingly says. As Essi goes to close the door she slips a little piece of rinkled paper into the apartment. "Huh whats this?" He says while grabbing the paper. When Essi unfolds the paper he sees a phone number and the words "Call Me <3". Essi doesnt care for activities outside of school. "Why not call let's see where this takes me." He says with a sigh.

Over the phone

Essi: Hey you said to call

Zero: Yeah im going to the mall this Saturday and was wondering if you could come with me?"

Essi: No

Zero: Come on please give it a chance you never know you might find a special lady

Essi: One time ill give it a chance if it sucks im never doing it again

Zero: Then ill meet you at 6:30pm by the local mall

Essi has never went out with friends or had a relationship so everything about friends and dating is knew to him. Essi has always been a loner never wanting to go out as a result hes never had many friends. Essi has never even been in a relationship. "Yay I totally can't wait" Essi says with a sigh of sarcasm. When Essi laid his head on his pillow he felt Nothing like usual Essi is numb. Not just numb to feelings but also numb to pain and every pleasure of life. Essi begins to fall asleep in the vast world of dreams. Essi has finally went fully numb to life no longer does he care about anyone or anything. He is a goner only one thing can save him but does he choose to accept that one thing or does he give up. "Finally morning time to get my Friday over with." He says as he gets ready for school. As Essi leaves his house and approaches his bike he hears a voice he recognizes.

Zero: So is this your bike?

Essi: Yes and don't you got somewhere to be right now like maybe getting to school.

Zero: Yeah im heading to school right now let me hitch a ride on the back of your bike.

Essi: No thats not gonna happen people may get the wrong idea

Zero: Please I swear I won't ask again.

Essi: Fine hop on

Zero: Thanks

As Zero hops on the bike she raps her arms around his waist and burrows her head into his back while blushing.

Essi: What are you doing?

Zero: Sorry im just cold and your warm.

Essi: This doesn't happen again.

Zero: But what if I like it?

Essi: Fine ill allow it now get ready were approaching the school.
