How did I end up with this situation?! she thought. She was asked to bring the bags full of set meals to 188th floor because a girl in her late 20's suddenly collapsed at the lobby. And here she was, pinned down on the couch by this well built and the most handsome man that she ever seen! Wait..What? How can she think like this now? And the most strangest thing is that the voice inside her was surprisingly silent! "This is the last time I'll ask you and I want you to tell me the truth. Did that old lady sent you here?" his hoarse and deep voice, along with his breath tickles her left ear. It was then that she realized how close they are and was about to get up but was pinned down once again. She met his grayish blue eyes that as deep as an ocean as if trying to search her soul. She knows her strength was nothing compare to him so why bother to fight. She calms herself and meet his searching eyes and with an indifferent look, she say "Is it necessary to do this to an employee who was asked to bring your food because your secretary collapsed for who the hell knows? Now that I've done what I'm asked to do will you please let go of me because I still have work to do, S.I.R?" Luckily she quickly recovers herself in time. She was almost captured by his out of this world beauty. But of course that's one of her talent! Even though her crush or first love is in front of her, she can still wear that indifferent look when in fact her heart was jumping wildly and wants to come out of her chest.

And it works EVERYTIME.

The man on top of her slowly gets up and sit next to her. "What are you waiting for? Serve the food." he said after a while and draws out his phone to make a call leaving her a in total shock that her jaw almost hit the floor. Did she hear it wrong or did her ears playing tricks on her? Noticing that she didn't make any move, "Are you deaf? Don't make me repeat what I said" he said and turn to talk to the person on the other line. She brushed off all of her thoughts and began setting the table.

He's eating quietly and sometimes took a glance with her who's sitting on the sofa. It's as if they are observing each ones actions and when their eyes meet, they look away.

"Which department you are in?" he broke the awkward silence between them.

"Design Department sir" she answer with her eyes on the floor. She seem calm on the outside but her mind was in chaos 'Oh my god! I just had this job! Don't tell me I'm gonna loose it on the first day of work? I needed this so much! I can't loose it! Oh heaven be nice to me even for once! I'm begging you!'

The streets are bustling with busy crowd. The streets are filled with colorful decorations and lights. Even though three more months to go before Christmas, you can see that everyone started decorating their houses with lights and lanterns. Excitement and happiness are written on their faces specially children whose looking forward for that special day.

Well that's not the case on Samantha Lane, 22 years old making her way on her apartment after she was told to go home early. She didn't have the chance to ask why or if she still have to work tomorrow. After walking for so long, she didn't noticed that her feet brought her to her bestfriend's place. When Sofia spotted her dispirited face, she rushed out to meet her. "Hey what happened to you? Are you alright? Come here." she pull her to her embrace and patted her back. "There, there, you're gonna be just fine. I'm here. Now tell me what happened." she keep on stroking her back as if a mother comforting her own child.

As long as she heard her say those words, she can't hold it back anymore and broke in tears " Fifi! why is life so unfair to me? why am I so unfortunate? what did I do wrong in the past to deserve all of this!?" she continues to rant and cry her heart out while her bestfriend keeps on comforting her.

She's kind of happy that Sam decided to let it all out and not keep it to herself and act cool even though she's hurting and broken inside like she always do that makes her worry for her even more.

After a few hours, she told Sofia everything that happened. "Well, don't stress yourself anymore. I think you just have to ask them tomorrow. If they say you're fired, then look for another job. So, hush now. Its gonna be alright. You still have me remember?" Sofia said while giving her an ice pack for her swollen eyes due to hours of crying.

 She just nodded and hum in response.

Sofia knows if she feels bad, eating ice cream will make her feel better so she gave her one. Samantha was busy eating her ice cream when her phone rang. They look at each other when they see the name on the register. It's from her Superior.

She anxiously answer the phone. "Manager Smith..."

"Miss Lane, I hope you have a good rest today. Tomorrow we will be expecting you early than your usual time as you need to report to the HR department to get some papers. You are expected to report at 188th floor, the CEO's office first. That's all. See you tomorrow."

The call already ended but she was still in a daze. She was about to ask her Superior if she still can go back to work the next day. She was going to promise him that she'll work very hard and will try every means to avoid any contact with that weird and handsome Boss of their company. But before she can ask something, this is all she heard from her Superior.

What the hell is going on? Yes i did beg the heavens to be good to me even once but why do I feel like it's going to be my end? Can someone please tell me why the hell do I have to report on the CEO's office? Why do I have to face that man again?!

Now she's in a dilemma.

Vallance Harvey, 26 years old, born with a royal blood and the Prince of Country M, made its way inside his company earlier than usual, making the employees at the lobby wonder what makes him come to the office at this early morning. He was having his coffee when a knock could be heard followed by his assistant pushing the door open and behind him was that woman from yesterday.

He knew that she was sent by the old lady, his auntie to be exact, his mother's sister who's working so hard for him to have that "special someone" in his life. Using all her connections to find a suitable partner for his son. He's already 26 years old and still hasn't introduce even a single female friend to the family that made her worry about his sexual identity.

Vallance wanted to help his Father from all the penetrators/traitors who wants to take over the throne. He focus on his studies and training and later on joined the elite

All of the pains and sufferings he'd gone through finally paid off. He become even more stronger that his words were like an edict from the emperor that one has to execute no matter what it's cost.

But yesterday she encountered a woman who didn't show even a slightest of admiration or fear on her face but rather showed an indifferent look which makes him question his appeal that instant! For all he know, every woman is willing to do everything just to be with him like EVERYTHING and ANYTHING.

But her? Didn't she find him charming at all? And what's with that indifferent look? But to think of it, she looks really cute with that expression. F*ck! what is wrong with me? he thought.

"G-good morning Mr. C-CEO" he heard a soft voice that brings him back to his senses. She was standing in front of his desk with folders on her hand and her eyes on the floor.

Heh! now you're acting cute after being a wild cat yesterday? he thought.

"From now on you don't have to work in the Design Department, i....." before he could finished his sentence, she kneel on the carpet floor. " Mr CEO, I'm so sorry about my poor attitude yesterday. I was wrong! It was just a slip of tongue. Please don't fire me I really need this job so bad!" she said it all in one breath with closed eyes.

Vallance on the other hand, was speechless. His lips curled up unconsciously.

'Did I say I will fire her? Huh she's indeed interesting'. What's more interesting is, he's smiling again. He almost forgot how to smile and this time, he kinda like it.

'It's not bad. This feeling......it's been a while'
