Portrait Of You

Drawn To You

Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Silvana. She belonged to a humble middle-class family, where her parents toiled tirelessly day and night to provide her with the best education they could afford. To support herself, Silvana worked part-time at a local McDonald’s café, managing her daily expenses with quiet strength and independence.

One ordinary afternoon, a customer walked in. His name was Richard. The moment he laid eyes on Silvana, he was captivated—her beauty was subtle, effortless, and deeply enchanting.

Though completely mesmerized, Richard chose to mind his own business. He didn’t dare ask for her number or even make small talk—he simply placed his order. But as he stood in front of her, he grew visibly nervous, fumbling over his words. Silvana, ever graceful and patient, offered him a kind smile and tried to gently make sense of his tangled order.

After receiving his food, Richard took a seat, quietly finished his meal, and left the café. But his heart was still racing. His face was flushed, and he was blushing harder than ever before—he had never felt something like this for anyone.

Richard’s life had never been easy. He came from an impoverished background, and tragically, his parents passed away when he was just four years old. Since then, he was raised by his uncle and aunt in a home filled with conflict and toxicity. He never knew the warmth of a parent’s embrace or the comfort of unconditional love. His guardians argued constantly, creating a suffocating environment that left deep emotional scars.

When Richard finally graduated from school, he made a bold decision—to live on his own and build his future from scratch. He took up various jobs at local hotels as a waiter, scraping together whatever income he could manage. At the same time, he launched a YouTube channel, where he began posting daily vlogs and glimpses of his routine.

But he never revealed his face.

Instead, he let his talent speak. He showcased his intricate sketches, unique crafts, and thoughtful narrations. Slowly, and quite unexpectedly, his videos began to gain traction. What started as a tiny audience of 10 subscribers grew rapidly—10,000, then 100,000, and still counting. His creativity had found its stage.

Ironically, Silvana was one of his biggest fans. She, too, loved to draw and often turned to Richard’s faceless videos for inspiration. Unbeknownst to either of them, their paths were slowly drawing closer—like lines in a sketch destined to meet.

Then, one fateful day, Richard walked back into the McDonald’s café.

The door chimed gently as he entered, and the moment he saw Silvana again, his heart skipped a beat. He tried his best to remain calm, to act nonchalant. He placed his order and quietly took a seat in the farthest corner of the café.

From his bag, he pulled out his sketchbook.

He began sketching—her.

The pen glided over the paper, tracing her soft features, the curve of her smile, the warmth in her eyes. It was almost instinctive, as if his hand had waited forever to capture her on paper.

After he finished his meal, Richard stood up and left, lost in his thoughts. But in his hurry… he forgot the sketch on the table.

When Silvana came over to clear the table, she noticed something lying there. Curious, she picked it up—and what she saw made her freeze.

It was her portrait.

Beautifully drawn, every detail brought to life with delicate strokes. Her cheeks flushed red, and her heart began to pound. Her hands trembled slightly as she held the paper, her mind racing with questions. Who was her mysterious admirer? Was it… him?

She didn’t breathe a word of it to her co-workers. Instead, she carefully folded the sketch and tucked it away, her thoughts a whirlwind of curiosity, surprise, and a strange new excitement.

That day, something changed—for both of them.

And neither knew it yet, but their story was only just beginning.

She Remembers Me

Filled with thoughts, Silvana went back home.

She couldn’t sleep the whole night. The next morning, she decided to go for a walk to clear her mind.

Richard, being a disciplined and health-conscious man, went to the park every morning for exercise and walking.

As soon as he reached the park’s boundary, he saw Silvana sitting alone on a bench, looking lost in deep thought.

His heart started racing the moment he saw her. But seeing her so quiet and distant made him feel worried.

Suddenly—

Bike Guy: “Ahhhhhhh! Woooooo! Boom!!” (sound of the accident)

Bystander: “Did he just die?!”

People started gathering around.

Richard was so distracted, standing in the middle of the road, unaware that any vehicle could hit him.

Out of nowhere, a man on a bike, rushing to get to work, crashed straight into Richard.

The biker fell down and lost consciousness. Blood was everywhere.

Bike Guy (gasping): “I’m really sorry! I was getting late… I didn’t mean to hit you!”

Hearing all the chaos, Silvana snapped out of her thoughts and ran towards the noise to see what happened.

Silvana was shocked and speechless.

She felt like she had seen the man before—but wasn’t sure. Maybe she was imagining it.

She went to the hospital with a few strangers and the bike guy.

The biker paid all the medical expenses and quietly left.

Silvana decided to stay with the strangers at the hospital to check on Richard.

After some time, Richard slowly opened his eyes.

His vision was blurry, but as things cleared, he saw a familiar face standing beside him.

It was Silvana. Goosebumps covered his body. His heart began racing.

Silvana (gently): “Hey! How do you feel now?”

Her soft voice felt like music to his ears. It melted into him, piercing his heart. He wanted to keep listening forever.

Silvana: “It’s okay… if you’re not able to talk right now.

By the way, my name is Silvana. Silvana Peter.

And before you say anything… I think I’ve seen you before. You seem familiar, but I can’t quite remember where.”

Richard gulped nervously.

Richard: “I-I-I… ummm… yeah, maybe… I think so… but I also don’t remember clearly…”

Silvana (smiling kindly): “It’s okay. You should rest. I have to go to work now.”

Richard felt helpless and Speechless therefore he didn't utter a word to stop her.

Meanwhile…

Silvana was at work, but her mind kept drifting back to the hospital.

Who was that man? Why did she feel like she knew him?

Was it just a coincidence? Or had fate brought them together again?

After her shift, she couldn’t stop herself.

She bought some fruits and headed back to the hospital.

When she entered Richard’s room, he was awake and sitting up, looking a little better.

Silvana (smiling warmly): “Hey again. I thought you might want something fresh to eat.”

Richard: “Wow… thank you. That’s really kind of you. I didn’t expect you’d come back.”

Silvana: “Honestly… I didn’t expect it either. But something tells me… this is not the first time we’ve met.”

They looked at each other — confused, curious, and strangely connected.

---

Suddenly, a nurse walked in.

Nurse: “Mr. Richard, the police need a short statement about the accident. Can you talk?”

Richard: “Yes, sure.”

The nurse handed him a pen and paper.

As he started to write, he paused and looked at Silvana.

Richard: “Do you believe in fate?”

Silvana (softly): “Sometimes… yes. Maybe this is one of those moments.”

---

After giving the statement, Silvana helped him sit more comfortably.

They talked for a while — about silly things, like favorite movies, food, and childhood memories.

Each sentence felt easy.

Each laugh, honest.

Each silence, comforting.

But still, that feeling — that they had met before — didn’t leave.

She went to his apartment to drop him and waved a goodbye...

She invited him to Mcdonald's cafe where she worked to meet her someday whenever he feels better.

She Is My Biggest Fan

A Few Days Later…

Richard decided to visit the McDonald's café again, hoping to see Silvana.

But when he arrived, he noticed she wasn’t there. Curious and a little worried, he asked one of her co-workers about her.

“She left the job,” the co-worker said.

Richard was heartbroken. He didn’t have her phone number, nor did he know where she lived.

He wanted to ask for her contact details, but he was too shy—and he knew they wouldn’t give it to him because of privacy rules.

Feeling hopeless, Richard went back home.

He pulled out his sketchbook and started drawing Silvana again—the same smile, her cute dimples, her long straight hair with curtain bangs softly falling on her face.

After finishing the sketch, he felt tired. He hugged the drawing gently and fell asleep.

---

(Ding dong...)

The doorbell rang a few times.

Half asleep, Richard slowly opened the door—and what he saw felt like a dream.

It was Silvana.

She stood there, smiling.

Silvana: “Hii Richard! Long time no see! I just wanted to check on you. How have you been?”

Richard was about to answer—but something caught his eye.

She was carrying a tote bag with a beautiful nature painting on it.

It was the exact painting he had uploaded as a tutorial yesterday.

He blushed instantly, a wide smile lighting up his face.

Richard: “That painting on your bag... it looks familiar!”

Silvana (excitedly): “I watched this tutorial on YouTube yesterday! I’m Ritutorial’s biggest fan. It’s been my dream to meet him in real life and give him a tight hug. His videos made me fall even more in love with sketching!”

Richard felt like his heart could explode from happiness.

He thought, "Did I just win at life?"

Richard (gathering himself): “Please come in, don’t just stand at the door. Have a seat. I’ll bring you some water.”

Silvana: “No no, thanks. I just had water before coming.”

Richard: “It’s almost dinner time. Should I make us something? I promise you—it’ll be the best food you’ve ever had!”

Silvana: “Okay, dude. I’d love to eat something made by you!”

Richard felt like jumping with joy but kept it cool.

He went to the kitchen to start cooking.

---

Meanwhile, Silvana got curious and began exploring his house.

When she entered his room, she was stunned.

The walls were filled with sketches, crafts, and paintings—each one more beautiful than the last.

She sat on his bed, amazed, and felt something hard underneath her.

It was a sketch.

The same one Richard had drawn just a few hours ago.

She picked it up and stared at it in shock.

Her thoughts raced wildly:

“Wait… Is he the one who left that sketch of me at the café? Is he the famous YouTuber Ritutorial? Is he my secret admirer???”

Her heart was beating fast. She could hardly breathe.

It all felt too much.

To clear her mind, Silvana walked back to the living room. Then, she reached into her tote bag, took out the old sketching Richard had left at the café, and returned to his room to compare it.

---

Richard (calling out): “Silvana, dinner is ready! Come to the table!”

He waited. No answer.

He walked toward his room, holding two plates of food.

There, he found her—standing silently, staring at both sketchings.

Richard (surprised): “What are you doing in my room?”

Silvana slowly turned and held up the sketch.

His heart skipped a beat.

He stood there, frozen—like a statue.

Both of them had hundreds of thoughts spinning in their heads.

Would he confess?

Would she understand?

Or was this the moment where everything changed?
