Chapter one-Welcome home luca
The rain hit the city city like bullets- cold, sharp and angry. A black car pulled up outside in the Moretti estate. it's engine purring like a predatore wating to strike. The iron gate cracked open, welcoming a ghost wearing a skin that didn't belong to him
Inside the car Luca Moretti adjust the silver cufflinks on his wrist. His fathers cufflinks, the only real thing on him tonight. The rest is history. The name and the blood line is a script.
The gates open as if they already knew who I am. The car rolled through the stone path, slowing just enough for the guards to nod. No smiles, No words just discipline. Everything was in place
The Moretti estate rose in a distance like palace craved out fear. Windows like eyes, walls that never aged.
As the entrance, the butler stood straight

I stepped out of the car, straightened my jacket said nothing. Home was not the word I'd use. The door opened before I reached them.
Inside the air was cool ,sharp with the scent of polished wood and the faint bite of smoke,familiar yet suffocating
Slavatore Moretti, the man I called father stood near the fire place back turned drink in his hand. He didn't turn don't speak right away. He made people wait, even the owns he claimed to own.

The halls were silent when I left him. My waited at the end of the corridor untouched same sheets, same view, same ceiling
Tomorrow I would step into San Regio hospital not as luca Moretti but as the shadow he created, and no one knows the difference.

Chapter two-Mornings at the Romanos
The scent of espresso filled the air as sunlight poured through the tall kitchen Windows. The Romano houshold was never quiet in the mornings, but it always warm.
Damien sat at the dinning table dressed sharply in his black shirt, shipping his coffee while scanning through the surgery schedule on his tablet. Across from him Adrian stood by the doorway, fixing his cufflinks, a lether folder tucked under his arm.

The art gallery meeting is at ten. I don't know why they expect me to give a full visual proposal when I'm only there for collaboration

footsteps approached, and their mother Elena Romano appeared with breakfast plate and a gentle smile

Elena kiss both of their cheek and waved them both out
As the door shut behind them, Marco turned to Elena with a sigh

Luca's pov(Standing in front of the hospital) San Regio the famous hospital in this city. it wasn't a hospital. It was a kingdom
Glass corridors stretched endlessly Reflecting polished marbale floors and spotless chorme railings. The Scent of antiseptic clung to the air. Staff moved with precision dressed in designer scrubs and confidence
This isn't a place of healing, I thought it's a battlefield but with blood. Here power was pulled from reputation, respect and legacy. And this is where I'll make my first cut
I adjusted the collar of my coat , clipped my badge and goes inside the hospital
As I stepped into the intern register area a voice behind me criped

I turned to see the intern with windswept brown hair and a crooked grin. His badage read Seath Martin

The briefing room was large, cold, full of tension. I walked in with other interns four of us total seath me and two Wishpering girls

Every intern straightened. Then he entered Dr Damien Romano
Impossibly tall, white coat flared behind him like a cape. Scrubs so sharply fitted it looked like he'd stepped of runway. His eyes scanned the room like he was already boared of us.
When his gaze landed on me it didn't move. Our eyes met for the first time. He didn't blink neither did I even though his constant gaze chilled down to my spine and my heart beats likes it will explode at any moment

Interns, you're under my supervision for next six weeks. I expect competence, Punctuality and silence unless spoken to. This is not a place for vanity or mistaken

Dr Martin you are with ortho and you two observe the pediatrics
He paused, then turned to me

Seath's eyebrows shot up. the two girls looked at me like I'd just handed a death sentence

he didn't wait for me. I followed him into the corridors
Before the door swang shut seath wishpered to me

Damien's pov- I didn't usually pay much attention to anyone but something about the new intern Luca Moretti..... the stillness and those eyes like they were Memorizing me.
There was something familiar about the way his name tasted . I don't know exactly but I feel like I have heard it before and for the first time in a while I felt the itch of curiosity. I didn't like it
