Marked by the Moons

Prologue

In this magical world,every child is born under the blessing of a Moon Phase,which leaves a unique glowing mark on their body--called Moon Mark.

The mark determined their innate magical potential , elemental affinity and societal rank within the magical academy system.

Astraeon Academy

The academy is hidden in a sky realm only accessible through moon-gate portals during eclipses.

The academy was built in order to train Moonborn students in magical arts tied to their lunar phase.

Graduation means becoming a guardian,mage,royal advisor--or even something darker.

In the Astraeon Academy, every time a student was admitted,they will be placed in the Moon House depending on their moon marks.

There are five Moon Houses

Each Houses has it's own dorm,mentors, training arena and specialty.

Each Houses represent their unique Moon Phase.

The five Houses: House Ignis 🌕 (Full Moon) House Ventu 🌒 (Waxing Crescent) House Aqua waning 🌘 (Waning Crescent) House Terra 🌓(First Quarter) House Umbra 🌑 (New Moon)

These five Houses each has their own specialty in terms of magical prowess.

For example,the Full Moon was also known as the Warrior's Moon. The individuals with this mark possess fire element. The students with this element are usually those with combat abilities that allow them to strengthen one body.

While the Waxing Crescent,known as the Seeker's Moon bore the element of air. Some of the students with this mark are to have vast knowledge of spells and they're good at illusions magic. The most advanced out of them even able to foresee the future.

As for the Waning Crescent,it was called the Healer's Moon since the students that possess this mark can use healing magic. Their element are water.

Next is the First Quarter,the Challenger's Moon,which mark bear the element of earth that can allow one possessed different spells. Their most known one is their barrier spells.

Last but least,the New Moon, or mostly called the Shadow Moon. There aren't many students born with this mark since it's quite rare. Despite all that,the power it grants usually are strong since the individual will be able to use element called void or spirits.Some can summon powerful spirits that can aid them in battles.

Each students that were admitted had to meet the requirements ranking of the academy

The rankings start from the unmarked and end with the strongest rank,the Celestial rank,which was rare.

Those that were admitted usually are the Moonborn (B rank) students.

Meanwhile there's those that are born exceptionally, usually come from notable nobles bloodlines and the heirs are ranked A or was called the Lunar Crown.

Meanwhile the Celestial ranks hadn't been seen so far. Only once every century,born a child with the magical powers with Celestial rank (S rank).

Episode 1:Five Marks

✨"They said only one moon chose a soul. So what does it mean when all five answer?"✨

Rain slicked the dark stone path to Astraeon Academy,the world's most prestigious school for Moonborn--the magically marked.

High above, five moons shimmered in alignment,each in its unique phase, casting strange-colored lights over the tall gate.

Seventeen years old Aysel Caelum stood in front of them, soaked and trembling.

She wasn't supposed to be here.

She wasn't even supposed to have a Moon Mark.

And yet,last night --during the Fivefold Eclipse--five blazing marks had burned themselves into her skin, one by one.

She still couldn't breathe right. Her bones ached. Her back itched where the Full Moon glowed like wildfire on her shoulder . Her chest pulsed with the watery light of the Waning Crescent.

Her collarbone shimmered silver,and her hands sparked with magic she couldn't understand.

She bore them all.

Full moon. Waning Crescent. Waxing Crescent. First Quarter. New Moon.

No one had ever had more than one.

Now she was being taken into the academy under "Emergency Observation".

But as she stepped through the gates, escorted by two masked faculty members in robes,Aysel could feel it--the eyes. The whispers. The powers.

She wasn't just an anomaly.

She was a threat.

Episode 2:The Elites

The academy's interior was ancient and magnificent--floating stairs,glass domes enchanted to mirror the sky. Silver threads banners of each Moon House swaying in a breeze that didn't exist.

Waiting in the central courtyard stood five boys ,all wearing their House sigils .

They were the most elites students in the school--each chosen by one of the five moons.

Each one now shares a mark with her.
