I wanted to write a system story
Justin sat by the window, a soft smile on his face as he flipped another page of his novel. The golden evening light poured in, making the words glow a little brighter. Outside, the sky was painted with soft hues of pink and orange, and the world felt calm.

Closing the book, he stretched his arms and stood up. “That was a good one,” he whispered, hugging the novel to his chest.
As he stepped outside, a soft breeze brushed past him, carrying the scent of old pages, dust, and blooming flowers. He tilted his head up, admiring the sky.

What a peaceful day.
He stepped onto the crosswalk, still smiling.
He didn’t notice the truck.
There was no sound—just a sudden flash of lights and the screeching of tires.
Justin’s body hit the ground. Blood pooled beneath him as he lay motionless. His chest felt heavy. His fingers twitched.

Eyes slowly turning to the sky again, he whispered,
“Is… is this the end…?”
And then everything went black.
When Justin opened his eyes again, everything was… strange.
He was floating. There was no ground beneath him, no sky above. Just a vast, endless space filled with stars and colors he couldn't name.

“W-What… where am I?” he mumbled, spinning slowly in the air.
Suddenly, with a soft ding!, something popped into view—a small floating robot with tiny wings and a glowing eye.

“Hello, Subject #1001,” it chirped in a cute robotic voice.
Lee Justin
Justin’s eyes widened. “WHAT THE HELL—?!”
SYS-1000
“I am System SYS-1000,” the robot continued. “You are dead.”
SYS-1000
“Cause of death: vehicular accident. Estimated time of soul release: 6:48 PM.”
Lee Justin
Justin blinked. “Wait wait wait wait—DEAD?! Me?! How? I was just—WAIT. Did I get hit by a truck?!”
SYS-1000
“Yes,” SYS-1000 answered casually.

“...Damn. That’s so cliché…”
SYS-1000
The system floated closer. “You have been selected for Mission Restoration Program. Complete 10 story-based missions. Earn points. Return to life.”
Lee Justin
“Missions? Like, what? Video game missions? Side quests? Boss battles?!” Justin looked horrified.
SYS-1000
“You will take on the identity of Jeon Jungkook in each world. Complete your task. Survive. Points earned can be used to buy skills in the shop. Final reward: your life back.”
Lee Justin
Justin stared, then slowly said, “…Do I at least get snacks in between?”
SYS-1000
SYS-1000 paused. “Snacks… can be purchased.”

Justin floated calmly in the strange space, legs crossed in mid-air, as the robot hovered nearby, blinking softly.

“So…” he started, “what’s my first mission?”

SYS-1000 spun once. “Loading Mission_01.”
A large holographic screen opened in front of Justin. On it, a soft image appeared—a boy with bunny-like eyes and a gentle smile.

“That’s… Jungkook?” Justin asked.
SYS-1000
“Correct,” the system replied. “You will be entering a story world where you take on the identity of Jeon Jungkook.”

“Okay… and what’s the story?”
The screen shifted. Scenes began to flash.
A young Jungkook, naive and kind-hearted.
A beautiful step-sister, always smiling—but with eyes full of greed.
A charming best friend, gentle in front of others—but cold behind his back.

They manipulated him,” the system explained, “feeding lies and controlling his heart. Jungkook believed them… and hurt the only person who ever truly loved him.”
Another image appeared—Kim Taehyung.
Sharp suit. Cold eyes. A CEO of the powerful KTH Group.
But when he looked at Jungkook in the memories, his gaze softened

“Taehyung was his fiancé,” SYS-1000 continued. “He loved Jungkook since childhood… silently. Endlessly. Even when Jungkook was cold to him, even when his words stung—Taehyung never gave up.”

“But the best friend didn’t take him to marry,” SYS-1000 said. “He took him to punish. With the step-sister by his side, they tortured Jungkook. Hurt him. Broke him.”

Justin’s fists clenched. “That’s sick…”

“By the time Taehyung found him, Jungkook was dying. Taehyung gave his life trying to save him.”

Justin felt a tightness in his chest. “That’s… the original ending?”

The system turned toward him. “Now it’s your turn.”

A warm bed. Soft sheets. A huge bedroom with golden curtains and antique furniture.

"Huh...?" he blinked, slowly sitting up. “I… I look like Jungkook now?”
He rushed to the mirror and gasped.
Big bunny eyes. Rosy lips. Soft skin. The face staring back wasn’t his—but it was beautiful.

“Oh my god, I’m adorable,” he whispered, making weird faces at himself, squishing his cheeks. “Okay Justin. Focus.”
He checked the wardrobe next. The clothes were dull, oversized, and plain.

"Ugh. No wonder he looked bad—these look like fashion crimes," he muttered. "Step-sis really set him up for failure."
After searching for a while, he found a hidden section—clean, elegant shirts, stylish trousers, and neat shoes. He changed into a white tucked-in shirt, black pants, and layered a simple chain.

He looked at the mirror again.
"Much better." He smirked.
🍽️ Downstairs - Dining Room
As Justin—now Jungkook—walked into the dining room, two women turned to look at him.
Jeon Jiya, the step-sister. Pretty, proud, manipulative.
Jeon Sumi, the stepmother. Sweet on the outside. Snake on the inside.

Jungkook didn’t even glance her way. He sat at the table and picked up a piece of toast.

“I told you yesterday that white doesn’t suit your skin tone,” she said, trying to keep her voice sweet but laced with annoyance. “You usually listen.”

He shrugged. “Guess I got tired of listening to bad advice.”

Sumi’s fake-sweet tone kicked in. “Jungkookie… this outfit doesn’t really suit you, dear. You look… odd.”

Jungkook looked up, his voice calm but sharp. “I didn’t ask.”

He picked up his coffee, sipped it, and stood up.

“Thanks for the breakfast,” he said with a small smile, “but I’ll be eating with real people soon.”
And just like that, he walked out—leaving his stepmother and stepsister speechless.

Inside a massive office, Kim Taehyung sat in silence.
Dark suit. Handsome face. Cold eyes.
But his expression softened as he stared at a picture on his phone.
A photo of Jungkook. The real one. Smiling in the garden under the sun.

“Why can’t you love me back?” he whispered, voice low and hollow.

A sad chuckle escaped his lips. He locked the phone and leaned back in his chair.

Jungkook (Justin) was humming, spinning playfully when—

“Waaah!!” he jumped back as SYS-1000 popped up.

“You have not started your mission,” the system reminded him.

“I was getting ready,” Jungkook said with a pout. Then his eyes lit up. “Wait… can I meet Taehyung now?”

The system blinked. “If you wish.”

“I want to see him first.”

“Understood. Fetching coordinates of KTH Empire.”

Jungkook walked into the grand glass building confidently. The receptionist looked up.

A few seconds later, the elevator doors opened and Yeonjun rushed into the lobby.

“You’re very important to our CEO,” Yeonjun said honestly. “Please follow me.”
And just like that, Jungkook was being led to Taehyung’s office—to face the man who once gave his life for him.
