Guarded Heart

Chapter 1 : The Day She Left

🌧️

Flashback: “The Day She Left”

Location: Elite Private High School, Bangkok — 6 Years Ago

[Scene 1 – School Courtyard, after class]

Alya (17), still in her uniform, sprints across the courtyard holding a bag of snacks. She waves wildly at the tall, calm figure waiting at the school gate — Tawan (20), in her cadet trainee uniform, with a firm and fierce look but soft.

Alya:

“Tawan!! You waited again?!”

Tawan: (crossing her arms)

“You skipped Math class again, didn’t you?”

Alya:

“…No?” (grins guiltily)

“Anyway, I got your favorite! Coconut buns~”

Tawan lets out a sigh and starts walking ahead. Alya jogs to catch up and hooks her arm through Tawan’s.

Tawan:

“One day, your recklessness is going to get you in trouble.”

Alya: (playfully)

“Good thing I have my personal bodyguard.”

Tawan: (glancing at her sideways)

“I’m not assigned to you. I might not always be here”

Alya: (smirks)

“Yeah, but you always choose me. And you cannot leaving, you gonna stuck with me forever. Don’t you dare to leave, that’s not yours to decide.”

[Scene 2 – Behind the music room, rainy afternoon]

Rain begins to pour unexpectedly. Tawan quickly takes off her cadet jacket and shields Alya. They find shelter near the music room.

Alya clutches Tawan’s sleeve, both of them soaked but laughing. The moment quiets. Their eyes meet. Their heart beats for each other.

Alya:

“You always come for me, no matter what.”

Tawan:

“You’re easy to find. Loud, bright… reckless.”

Alya:

“Do you hate that?”

Tawan:

“…No.”

Alya takes a breath. Her voice softens.

Alya:

”Tawan… I think I love you.”

Tawan: (frozen)

“…Alya—”

Alya:

“I mean it. I’ve felt this way for a long time. You make me feel safe. Like I can be myself without pretending.”

Tawan doesn’t speak. She steps back. The sound of rain fills the silence.

Alya:

“…Say something.”

Tawan lowers her eyes.

Tawan:

“I’m leaving.”

Alya:

“What?”

Tawan:

“Chiang Mai. Advanced tactical training. I… can’t stay.”

Alya: (shocked)

“When?”

Tawan:

“Tomorrow.”

Alya: (tears welling up)

“You weren’t going to tell me?!”

Tawan: (painfully calm)

“It’s better this way.”

Alya:

“Was I that easy to walk away from? Am I nothing to you? Are we nothing?”

Tawan reaches out, almost touches her cheek… but pulls her hand back.

Tawan:

“I’m sorry.”

She turns and walks away—leaving Alya in the rain, crying, devastating.

[Scene 3 – Alya’s POV, weeks later]

Silence. No calls. No letters.

Tawan is gone.

Alya reads an article about a young prodigy joining a government protection unit.

There’s a blurry picture of a figure in a full uniform gear.

It’s her.

Her Tawan.

And from that day forward, Alya tells herself:

“She chose duty over me.

But I will make sure universe will help us cross path again, and when it is time i see her again… I’ll make her choose me. I will make sure I am worth to be choose by her.”

Episode 2: “The One I Left in the Rain”

🌙 Episode2: “The One I Left in the Rain”

Theme: Reunion in disguise, suppressed emotions, silent protection.

[Scene 1 – Bodyguard HQ, late night]

Tawan, now 30, is standing in front of a glass mirror, dressed in full tactical black gear — gloves, combat boots, mask and helmet beside her. Her expression is calm but distant. She tightens the strap of her wrist holster.

Her father, General Kornkamon, walks in.

General Kornkamon:

“Still emotionless after all these years. Except when it’s about her.”

Tawan:

“…This isn’t about emotion. It’s duty.”

General Kornkamon: (sits, watching her)

“Her father wants her protected. He requested you personally. Are you sure about this?”

Tawan:

“She won’t know it’s me.”

General Kornkamon:

“Even if she remembers your touch?”

Tawan: (pauses, then puts on the helmet)

“Then I’ll make sure she doesn’t touch me.”

[Scene 2 – Alya’s Mansion, daytime]

Alya (23) is finishing a livestream in her room, surrounded by makeup and scripts. She glows with charisma, but her eyes still hold a quiet sadness.

Assistant:

“Ms Alya, your father upgraded your personal security. Your new guard starts today.”

Alya: (raising an eyebrow)

“Another bodyguard? Do they even last? They either flirt or freeze.”

Assistant:

“This one’s… different. No name. Codename Black Falcon.”

The front door opens. In walks Tawan, fully covered in black, no visible skin or voice — even her comm system masks her tone.

Alya looks her up and down.

Alya: (teasing)

“Wow. My own Darth Vader.”

No response.

Alya: (smirking)

“Can you even speak?”

Tawan (modulated voice):

“Only when needed.”

Alya: (rolls her eyes)

“Great. Another robot.”

[Scene 3 – In the car, en route to set]

Alya talks nonstop in the back seat, teasing and testing the new guard.

Alya:

“So what’s your deal? Secret identity? Ex-military? Or just someone with commitment issues?”

Tawan doesn’t respond. Her eyes stay on the road ahead through the tinted visor.

Alya:

“…You remind me of someone I used to know.”

That makes Tawan flinch ever so slightly.

[Scene 4 – Film set chaos]

While filming, a fan with a knife breaks into the set. Everyone panics.

Tawan instantly steps in — disarms him in 3 swift moves, pins him down. Alya stands frozen, stunned.

Director:

“Holy— who is that?”

Tawan pulls Alya aside, checking her for injuries.

Alya: (genuinely shaken)

“…You knew I was in danger before it happened.”

Tawan: (voice still modulated)

“It’s my job.”

Alya: (looking into the visor)

“I’ve felt this before…”

[Scene 5 – Late night, Alya’s bedroom balcony]

Alya sits alone under the stars, hair tied back, face bare.

Tawan stands silently nearby, watching over her from the shadows.

Alya speaks without looking at her.

Alya:

“I loved someone once. She left before I could hate her for it.”

A beat of silence.

Alya: (softly)

“And now… I feel her again. Like a ghost guarding me.”

Tawan remains frozen.

Eyes glassy.

Heart full.

But she says nothing.

Final Scene – Tawan’s POV, private HQ log

She types a short report.

Client secured.

Threat neutralized.

Emotional exposure: contained.

Codename: Black Falcon

Status: Watching her from the same distance I left her in.

She stares at the screen.

Deletes the last line.

And closes the laptop.

Episode 3: Black Falcon

🌙 Episode 3: “Black Falcon”

Theme: Familiarity, tension, comedy, and slow cracks in Tawan’s walls.

[Scene 1 – Alya’s Vanity Table, Morning Prep]

Alya scrolls through gossip news as her makeup artist styles her hair.

Alya:

“Fan death threats, stalkers, and now this walking statue following me around like a shadow…”

She glances at Tawan, standing a few steps away in her full helmet and body armor, arms crossed, silent as ever.

Makeup artist:

“Yeah, she’s kind of scary. Does she even blink?”

Alya (grinning):

“I wouldn’t know. Can’t see her face.

But… her energy? Super familiar.”

She leans in, whispering to herself:

“Like someone I once knew.”

[Scene 2 – Wardrobe Fitting Room]

Alya is trying on an outfit that’s too tight. She stumbles, trips slightly, and before she hits the ground—

Tawan catches her midair.

Alya ends up in a bridal carry, her face inches from the black visor.

Alya (smirking):

“Well damn. That’s smooth.”

Tawan doesn’t say a word. She helps her stand and quickly steps back like nothing happened.

Alya (teasing):

“Oh you’re strong and shy? Dangerous combo.”

[Scene 3 – On Set, Between Takes]

Alya purposefully walks too far off set to test how fast her guard reacts.

Within seconds, Tawan is there, gently tugging her back.

Alya (fake shocked):

“What, do you have sensors in your chest or something?”

Tawan (modulated voice):

“You’re not permitted to leave marked zones alone.”

Alya:

“…Yep. Definitely trained. But you’re too quick.

Almost like… someone used to babysit me like this before.”

Tawan turns away to hide her flicker of expression.

[Scene 4 – Lunch Trailer]

Comedy moment: Alya tries to get her bodyguard to eat with her.

Alya:

“I’m not eating unless you do too. It’s lonely.”

Tawan: (firmly)

“Guards do not eat with clients.”

Alya (childish voice):

“But I’m special.”

Tawan doesn’t move. Alya places a chicken skewer near her helmet’s mouth area.

Alya:

“C’mon. One bite for your queen.”

Tawan remains statue-like. Alya sighs dramatically and eats both skewers.

[Scene 5 – Nighttime, Living Room]

Alya curls up on the sofa watching an old Thai rom-com. She glances at Tawan, standing behind her couch.

Alya (half-asleep):

“You really never talk, huh?”

No answer.

Alya:

“I used to know someone like you.

She was cold too. Until she wasn’t.”

She lies down, voice barely audible now:

Alya:

“I would’ve loved her forever if she’d stayed…”

Tawan watches her sleep, fists clenched, staying silent even as her chest aches.

[Scene 6 – Tawan’s POV, Private HQ Surveillance Room]

Late at night, Tawan reviews footage of Alya’s day. Pauses on the moment Alya is laughing. Then on the close-up of her sleeping face.

She runs her finger gently over the screen.

Tawan (soft whisper):

“…You still laugh like you did when we were seventeen.

Final Scene – Alya’s Room, Early Morning

Alya wakes up and finds a glass of warm lemon water placed beside her bed.

Alya:

“…Only one person used to do this.”

She looks at the security feed camera in the corner, then at the door, whispering:

Alya:

“…Are you really her?”
