If asked, a lot of people usually argue that Zeus is the strongest god and I strongly disagree with that.

There existed strong and powerful entities many eons ago before Zeus came into existence, their story was that of bloodbath and chaos, love and hate, destruction and creation, night and darkness, Nyx and Erebus. They were created out of chaos and nothingness that roamed round space drawing in anything that came across its path

Nyx had skin as pale as snow with hair that shone like the moon, her appearance greatly contrasted her powers for inside her was nothing but a vast black hole. Not long after Erebus was created, he gave out a loud roar as he vacuumed the darkness all around him giving him the appearance of a beast.

He was strikingly beautiful with long black hair that was darker than the night itself ....he took his sweet time getting himself together before gradually turning towards Nyx. Her eyes were filled with bloodlust ready to strike at any moment for she could perceive the huge amount of aura coming from him, but she had to control herself, curiosity is dangerous, she heard a voice saying but she was already drawn too deep to understand.

"Weakling, you should bow in the presence of your master for I alone am the ruler you'd serve for the rest of your existence, you shall be at my very beck and call so that I may spare your life".

A huge grin plastered on his face could easily deceive any fool that he wasn't here for war, but not Nyx, she could feel the bloodthirsty aura he was emanating and instantly knew he was an enemy she should be wary of. She laughed, a cold and dark laugh that carried nothing but emptiness till the end of space

"oh, what a fool" she spat as she rushed toward him with full force creating a weapon out of nothing which clashed with the weapon Erebus created out of darkness. Their fight lasted for days, weapons clashing, darkness overshadowing darkness, lighting every time their weapons touched.

"Enough" Nyx screamed out "this battle cannot run much longer, I've the stamina to keep on fighting for years to come but you are not enough to amuse me, I suggest we split space equally"

"equally?, scoffs" How dare you weakling suggest being equal with me, I should slut your throat immediately for such a foul remark and I'll rather fight to the death than to share my space equally with an inferior being"

She called out her power from nothingness and made a shrieking sound that shook space, that alone caused a huge rift which signified both halves of their boundaries. She turned away in disgust and walked into the darker part of her space with Moon dust flowing behind her....she was determined to prepare for battle.

Erebus watched as her hips swayed from left to right, he was entranced by the Moon dust that scattered behind her. He was a god born out of darkness and his thoughts were as dark as his whole being, kill her, a voice whispered but he shook it off for he knew it was a futile effort, seduce her, another voice whispered.... this one was calm yet sharp and it was like sweet temptation that he was ready to succumb to, it's message was loud and clear, he had to claim her.

But how does one claim an entity who was stronger than him

He felt it, the darkness he drew his power from was giving out, he knew if the war was to drag on any longer his weaknesses would come out bare and she would not hesitate to strike. He was entranced by her brutality, her voice was soft yet sharp, ready to calm him down and also destroy him immediately

"Why!!!!!!!" he shouted, it caused a vibration that stirred till it reached the other end of space.....he made an oath, if he can't claim her then he would kill her, no matter what means it would take.

Nyx was in a turmoil for she had barely adjusted to her surroundings before being placed face to a being that was on par with her in terms of strength, it was frightening at the same time exciting.....her whole being yearned for more, but she knew she had to stop, she could feel him growing weaker, and she wasn't that keen on ending the fun just yet. She enjoyed his screams of agony as his body twisted while trying to draw more darkness from within, he was like a child who had a weapon placed b4 him. She was curious about how he would wield his powers in the correct way and for that reason she let him live, kill him, a voice whispered, but she ignored it for his time has not yet come, seduce him, another voice whispered. After pondering, she allowed that voice to stay for he had caught her eyes and she did not intend on letting go...she would cut out his source of power if it was the only way to tame him.

They each stayed in their boundaries for another thousand years, time was meaningless, and they soon lost count. After so many years of failed experiments Nyx bore her fist offspring alone, and she named him Moros for he shall be the bearer of doom. She saw that her work was good, and she laid to rest

Feeling the presence of another being, Erebus prepared himself for another war, perhaps she is here to complete the battle, the voice whispered to him, 'but she doesn't look like one to attack first 'he felt like he was going to go mad if he sat still any longer, he charged ahead with full force creating his weapon out from darkness ready to cut down anyone who stood in its path

"Kekeke", the childish laugh he heard made him stand still 'what is a child doing here ', he tilted his head to the side only to find a monstrous creature that represented doom itself.

"My....my mother is…is…is still sleep… Sleeping"

The child was a fool, that was the only thing he could classify him at this extent.

"Lead the way", he said as he marched forward wanting to end this battle once and for all.

Feeling nostalgic he wondered if he should turn back before he made any silly mistake, but there she laid....ethereal...he felt like he was being drawn inside the more he stared, he could see the whole galaxy floating deep inside her, it was then he knew he could never win against her for she drew her power from nothingness,

"*scoffs*, I'd have never been so cocky if I had known the difference between us was so great", he turned towards Moros "has she been like this all this while".

He nodded his head up and down as an indication to a positive answer.....

"She must have strained herself too much considering it was her first experiment, come with me.... I'll see what you're capable of"

He carried him to the end of space towards where the giant stars reside, it's time to get your revenge, leave it here, this voice always seemed to know his innermost desires, but he refused to succumb to petty things.

"If you manage to find your way back to your domain I shall consider you fit to be the first kin", he disappeared into the darkness as soon as he said that, leaving behind a very much confused Moros.

"Where is my son!!!" he was greeted with a distorted face of Nyx who was still trying to shift into reality

"I think you meant to say your experiment", the bloodlust aura he felt from her was enough to know he could be dead the moment he said anything wrong.....she wasn't here for games.

"I promise you he's safe, I thought It's what you wanted since it reached out to me first it's why I decided to proceed, forgive me if I've wronged you in any way"

" You're standing on a thin line conversing with your end. Show me"

They were both covered with darkness as he transported them to its current location,

"Kekeke, mummy", she didn't know how to love, so she turned her head and disappeared into nothingness immediately she heard its voice.

"If he returns I shall claim him as my first offspring" she said as she walked into her domain. She soon returned and started her next experiment.

Erebus was lost in thoughts when he felt another presence, 'could it be that it's back ', even though he knew it was impossible he still got up for he has come to know that he shouldn't underestimate anything relating to her.

His steps were heavy yet firm as he walked towards her domain, he slit the invisible force that shielded it like mere paper and saw her standing with another beast in her hand.

"This one was made from deep within my thoughts therefore it shall be named Oneiroi for it shall be known as the bearer of dreams".

He watched her every movement like they could disappear at any moment, deep down he knew he was not wanted here, but he remained stubborn and stayed. Could it be that you've fallen for her already, pathetic!!, he has never wished for anything before, but now he wanted nothing more than to rip that whisperer out of his ears.

He went back to his domain as quietly as he had stepped out and fall into great thinking....he decided he couldn't sit still while she created duplicates of herself, but as far as he knows there was no possible way for him to do the same....for she was a supreme being he could never match in a thousand years to come.

He picked up some of her Moon dust that scattered on the floor and started molding images in his likeness, small figures that all gathered to worship him. But he was still not satisfied, he compared them to the creatures Nyx made and saw he was falling short, in a fit of anger he scattered them all to the ground feeling so much inferior towards her. You should have been the one named weakling, in a rage he appeared at where Moros was located.

" You couldn't even last a day, I was right after all" he looked at the distorted Moros who ended swallowing itself for it could not channel its power out. After thinking for a short while he absorbed the already half destroyed Moros with his darkness, and he felt it ...a pinch of that woman's power...it ran round his body trying to absorb everything at once, her power was made to consume everything that it touched.

It took all of his will power to control it from taking all over his body, and it left him hollow and dark. Wanting more of that power he quickly reappeared at her domain declaring war once again.

A fool remains a fool forever.

"I challenge you Nyx, that power which you hold so high and mighty will soon be mine. I shall extract every bit of that essence in you "

Nyx was thrilled, kill him now, her insides screamed for his ashy and lifeless body to be crumbled to dust before her.

"you think you have seen power, hypocrites, you are nothing but an ignorant fool, I haven't even shown you a tenth of my power, yet you're overflowing with joy after sucking out the essence of my already dead child.

Nyx screamed at the top of her lungs and it created a black hole, inside that hole were a pair of eyes, it was deep obsidian Black and it was drawing them closer

"Nyx hurry up and do something, kill that thing". the fearful look was literally evident in his eyes as looked back to the big eye staring at them

"That thing?, that thing there is my third offspring....bow before the presence of Nemesis".

"I see, you managed to create another living entity in such a short while, yet you call me ignorant and foolish. you're at your weakest right now because you've used so much of your constitution in creating 3 whole entities in a short period of time....even chaos was only able to create two of us at a time"

she laughed, a shrieking and echoing laugh that sent shivers down his body

"you should have been named fool...even if for a second I was to be weak, do you think you can get to me.... weakling, weakling, weakling!!!!"

The silence that followed her words was so loud it was deafening, he could hear the taunts of the whisperer and felt like he was going mad, 'no no no no, I can't let her in my head'

"no!!!!, I will rule and bend you....you shall come to regret these words"

Before he could speak further he fell to the ground, Nyx quickly turned around for she guessed who made it happen, Oneiroi

"Who gave you the right to temper around my plaything"

"he killed my brother, he is unworthy to live"

Oneiroi kept on repeating this words like he was stuck on a loop, like a broken record with no direct soundtrack. He wanted more, he wanted to destroy him till he's wiped out of existence, black vein lines started spreading from his head down to his necks and hands, he was loosing control of himself and it was eating him from within.

"Stop", Oneiroi blacked out, and the lines stopped spreading, it retraced back to his head and disappeared like it never existed. She wasn't ready to lose another offspring just yet.

"Nemesis take Oneiroi to the other chamber and come meet me after".

She raised the lifeless body of Erebus and carried him to his chamber. After settling him down she scanned the area and saw figure of scattered forms, she quickly guessed what he was trying to do and scoffed, weaklings like him should be destroyed without regret. She knew she had the power to end it all there without even lifting a finger, but she wanted to wait a little while longer

Her eyes scanned his face and only then did she realized he was strikingly beautiful, his perfect almond shaped face decorated with a pair of empty back eyes that almost looked lifeless but was enough to always get her lost in thoughts, his long black hair that suited his face perfectly, her eyes went down further and stared at his perfect broad shoulders that she fought the urge to lay on. Before she could notice, her hands were already reaching out to him, wanting to trace her fingertips along his perfect jawline, those parched lips of his that was always craving attention.

"Mother, I'm back"

his curt words snapped her back to reality quicker lighting, she fought for composure while trying to act unaffected, but only her heart knows just how much it was affected. She thought she was a being unable to love, after all she was created with the ability of the greatest destruction.

"Come with me child", she created one of her portals and stepped in with her offspring, they arrived at a random spot in space.

"I wish to create beings that will worship us, inferior beings that I shall grant wisdom and this shall be their home"

"Inferior beings cannot survive in such a harsh environment, they'll die before they live up to a day"

"As expected of my offspring, you have such keen insight....what do you suggest we do then, if you can bring me good suggestions within three days I shall bestow you the position as my first offspring "
