The Vampire's Obsession
-Introduction-
Vasili𝄁Author
Gabriel Thieron, a seasoned History Professor, found himself on the cusp of an unexpected adventure as he accepted a teaching position at an unfamiliar university nestled high in the rugged peaks of the mountains.
Vasili𝄁Author
This remote institution was a world away from the bustling campuses he was used to, shrouded in mist and mystery, and he had never even heard of its name until now.
Vasili𝄁Author
As he arrived, the air was crisp and cool, the scent of pine enveloping him. Students drifted about, their appearances striking and peculiar—a ghostly pallor to their skin that suggested the sun had never graced them.
Vasili𝄁Author
It was as if they had stepped out of a twilight dream, their eyes reflecting the fading light of dusk. Classes here began at sunset, casting a surreal, amber hue over the campus, making everything feel enchanted yet slightly eerie.
Vasili𝄁Author
Determined to adapt, Gabriel dove into his teaching, but soon noticed the conspicuous absence of two of his students: Zyraelle Draven Morvyn and Zavelle Vesper Morvyn.
Vasili𝄁Author
Whispers floated through the halls about the brothers—heirs of a wealthy and well-known family at the university who were notorious for their erratic attendance, skipping classes for reasons cloaked in secrecy.
Vasili𝄁Author
Then came a night that would alter the course of his time at this enigmatic university. The Morvyn brothers appeared in his classroom, their presence charged with a magnetism that drew the attention of everyone around.
Vasili𝄁Author
Zyraelle, with his striking features and an air of quiet confidence,
Vasili𝄁Author
And Zavelle, exuding an unmistakable charm,
Vasili𝄁Author
Both seemed utterly fascinated by him.
Vasili𝄁Author
What secrets lay hidden in the shadows of this high-altitude institution? As curiosity brewed and his world began to twist in unexpected ways, Gabriel felt the thrill of the unknown lurking just beyond the mountains, waiting to unfold.

The city never seemed to be the right place for me.
The blinding city lights, the bustling of car horns, the city's people always going to bars and clubs, wasting their lives getting drunk―all if these are just reasons why I hated living in this city.
But fate seemed to be on my side as I received an email from the university's council.
"Subject: Exciting Opportunity – Invitation to Teach at Our University
Good day, Mr. Thieron,
I hope this email finds you well.
We are pleased to inform you that your exceptional teaching skills have caught the attention of a prestigious university. Although it is located far from the city, it is well-known among students for its excellent academic programs. They have invited you to join their faculty as a History Teacher, and we congratulate you on this incredible opportunity.
Additionally, please note that our council will provide financial support to assist you with the relocation costs.
Best regards,
PSP University"
Gabriel Thieron
*stares at the email*
Gabriel Thieron
What a great opportunity waiting for me
Gabriel Thieron
(turned his phone off and glanced up the road)
Gabriel Thieron
The rain is getting heavier, where the hell is the car that is supposed to pick me up? *irritated*
A black limousine came to sight and stopped in front of Gabriel. The driver got down and opened the door for him to enter.
Gabriel Thieron
My, you're late.
"Apologies, kind sir. The rain made it hard for me to drive."
Gabriel Thieron
Well then, get moving. (enters the limousine)
Gabriel Thieron
[I wasn't expecting for a limousine to pick me up, but I'm not complaining.]
Gabriel Thieron
(made himself comfortable)
The limousine started driving, slowly but relaxing for Gabriel.
"Mr. Thieron, was it?" The driver spoke.
Gabriel Thieron
Yes, why? *looks at the driver's eyes through the front mirror*
"You must be the History Teacher being sent to the New university…"
Gabriel Thieron
Why, yes I am.
Gabriel Thieron
Do you know what the name of that university is?
Gabriel Thieron
They seem to forgot to tell me.
Gabriel Thieron
*raised a brow*
"The university was rumored to appear out of nowhere'
Gabriel Thieron
How impossible. *frowns*
"Don't you find it unusual how it is located in the high mountains?"
"You're the 3rd Teacher that I'm driving there. There's little information on how they choose teachers to work for them"
Gabriel Thieron
Why are you telling me these?
"I just want you to know, just in case. The university is a very unusual place. No one ever knows where the students came from, let alone the whole university itself."
Gabriel Thieron
*takes a deep breath*
Gabriel Thieron
Do you know where the previous teachers are?
Gabriel Thieron
Are they still there?
"I unfortunately don't know."
"I have never seen them after I left them there."
Gabriel Thieron
Well, thank you for your concern.
"I was hoping to change your mind about going there.."
Gabriel Thieron
I understand your intentions.
Gabriel Thieron
But the city isn't for me.
Gabriel Thieron
I would rather stay in an alluring place than suffer in a place where peace doesn't seem to be present.
Gabriel Thieron
(Faced the window)
Gabriel soon arrived at the university.
As he got off the car, the driver stared at him with worrying eyes.
Gabriel thanked the driver before proceeding to enter the main building.
As Gabriel strolled through the campus, he couldn't help but observe the aged architecture of the university.
The once-pristine white paint that adorned the walls of the grand building was now marred by layers of dark, peeling paint, which had obscured its original brilliance.
This transformation gave the structure an almost somber appearance, making it seem as if it had been shrouded in a veil of shadowy black.
Gabriel Thieron
[The driver wasn't lying after all.]
Gabriel Thieron
[This place gives me a very unusual feeling.]
Gabriel Thieron
*shakes his head a little* That doesn't matter.
Gabriel Thieron
*noticed the students staring at him*
Gabriel Thieron
*raised a brow* [What an odd looking students. They're so pale.]
Gabriel soon arrived at the classroom where he had been assigned.
As he entered the room, all eyes of the students turned to him.
He was greeted by a council professor of the university.
Isolde Scarlette
Welcome to the university, Mr. Thieron.
Gabriel Thieron
*bows a little* (walks closer to the council Professor)
Isolde Scarlette
I am Isolde Scarlette, most people refer to me as Scarlette around here.
Gabriel Thieron
Well, nice to meet you Scarlette.
Isolde Scarlette
*nods* I am the second head of the council professors.
Isolde Scarlette
I will be the one you reach out to in case you need any assistance.
Isolde Scarlette
(faced the class) These are your students.
Isolde Scarlette
From now on until the school year ends, they will be your students.
Isolde Scarlette
Class, stand up and greet your new professor.
The whole class followed as Scarlette said.
"Good evening, Mr. Thieron. We are pleased to meet you."
Gabriel Thieron
Good evening. Pleased to meet you too, students.
Isolde Scarlette
(faced Gabriel)I hope you have a great experience here in our university.
Isolde Scarlette
Please don't be shy to pay our council a visit to meet more teachers around the university. *smiles lightly*
Gabriel Thieron
*returns the smile* I will.
Isolde Scarlette
I'll be taking my leave. If you ever need me, I'll just be in the main building library.
Gabriel Thieron
Understood.
Gabriel Thieron
(Locked eyes with Scarlette) *flinched*
Gabriel Thieron
(Watched as Scarlette made his way to the door)
Scarlette locked eyes with Gabriel the whole time until he finally left.
A chill ran down Gabriel's spine as the image of Scarlette's unusual glowing red eyes was stuck in his mind.
Gabriel Thieron
What the hell... (looks down)
Gabriel Thieron
*shakes his head a little* (Faced the class)
Gabriel Thieron
[It must be the lack of sleep..]

Chapter Two~Isolde Scarlette.
It was already past midnight when Gabriel finished his classes.
Gabriel Thieron
(makes his way back to his classroom)
Gabriel couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched even though he was all alone in the hallway.
Gabriel Thieron
[Why am I so paranoid today?]
Gabriel Thieron
[The driver's words really creeped into my brain.] *frustrated*
Gabriel Thieron
[Best to forget about it]
Gabriel Thieron
*noticed Scarlette walking around*
Gabriel Thieron
*Smiles a little* Good morning, Scarlette.
Isolde Scarlette
(turned to face Gabriel) Good morning.
Isolde Scarlette
Are you on your way back to your main class?
Isolde Scarlette
Ah, alright then.
Isolde Scarlette
I hope you wouldn't get too tired after just weeks of teaching here.
Gabriel Thieron
I hope so too. *jokes;chuckles*
Isolde Scarlette
*smiles* Well then, I must go.
Gabriel Thieron
Alright. *nods*
Gabriel Thieron
(proceeds)
Gabriel Thieron
He has one beautiful hair, I must say.
Isolde Scarlette
(looks back and watched as Gabriel walks away)
Gabriel Thieron
Good morning, class.
Gabriel Thieron
Only 30 minutes until I dismiss you. (glanced up from his watch)
Gabriel Thieron
Feel free to do whatever you want.
Two students approached Gabriel
Gabriel Thieron
Do you need something?
Lilith
We just figured out if we could know more about you!
Elaris
Yeah! I mean, you're gonna be with us for the rest of the year sooo...
Lilith
He's right, nothing wrong with getting know each other don't you think sir?
Gabriel Thieron
*raised a brow* Well, I suppose.
Lilith
Hehe! Anyway, you look so young sir. How old are you?
Gabriel Thieron
(turned his body to face his students) I just turned 30, actually.
Elaris
Oh! (glanced at Lilith)
Lilith
(glanced at Elaris then back to Gabriel) That's not too old!
Elaris
Oh of course- *teasing*
Lilith
(kicked Elaris secretly)
Elaris
A!- (covered his mouth)
Gabriel Thieron
*confused*
Lilith
Are you married sir?
Gabriel Thieron
*grins* What an unusual question to ask.
Lilith
It's okay if you don't answer-
Elaris
Are you blind? There's no way Sir Thieron isn't married!
Elaris
Can't you see how handsome he is?!
Gabriel Thieron
*chuckles*
Gabriel Thieron
I'm actually not married.
Elaris
Huh?! (turned to face Gabriel)
Elaris
Oh- I have a chance then! *jokes*
Gabriel Thieron
*Laughs lightly* Aren't you too young?
Elaris
Well, I am, but age doesn't matter I beli- mph!
Lilith
(covered his mouth) Don't listen to him please!
Lilith
He's the stupidest person in this whole university I swear
Gabriel Thieron
He doesn't look like one to me
Elaris
(removed Lilith's hand) HA!
Elaris
Take that, female specie!
Lilith
WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!
Lilith
This- tsk! (looks away)
Gabriel Thieron
*smiles* You two seem pretty close, are you sure you aren't dating?
Lilith
Sir, how could you say that?! He looks like he's mixed!
Elaris
This woman- *glares at Lilith*
Gabriel Thieron
It's okay, I tend to swear a lot myself too.
Elaris
So sir likes swearing 😏
Lilith
(pulled Elaris' hair) Anyway-
Elaris
Ow! (held his head) Damn you..
Lilith
How many years have you been teaching sir?
Gabriel Thieron
Hm, I started teaching at 23.
Gabriel Thieron
So 7 years
Lilith
Not too long I guess.
Gabriel Thieron
Pretty long for me (crossed his arms)
Elaris
Well, I hope you wouldn't leave the university, sir
Elaris
I hope you last long!
Gabriel Thieron
We will see about that.
Gabriel Thieron
If you behave then I might never leave *teased*
Lilith
The previous teachers from other universities left, that's why most of our teachers here are old.
Gabriel Thieron
Why did they leave?
Elaris
No one really knows the reason. But I hope whatever their reason for leaving wouldn't be the same reason you leave us ☹️
Gabriel Thieron
*chuckles* I wouldn't leave just like that, don't worry.
Gabriel Thieron
Besides, living far from the city has always been my dream.
Gabriel Thieron
Well, anyway (checked his watch)
Gabriel Thieron
5 minutes before dismissal time.
Gabriel Thieron
You should get ready to leave (faced both of them)
Lilith
Okay! Thank you for your time, sir!
Gabriel Thieron
Alright, you two.
Gabriel Thieron
Go and sit down. I'll be checking the attendance.
Lilith
Okay! (ran back to her seat)
Gabriel started calling the student's names one by one.
He came across two students that he didn't find inside the classroom.
Gabriel Thieron
Zyraelle Draven Morvyn and Zavelle Vesper Morvyn...
Gabriel noticed how the mood inside the classroom switched after mentioning the two's names.
The class immediately went silent, while Lilith and Elaris kept glancing at each other.
Gabriel Thieron
Are these two related?
Gabriel Thieron
Oh, alright then.
Gabriel Thieron
Well, thank you for today, class.
Gabriel Thieron
You're dismissed.
The students started leaving one by one, but the two students from earlier went to talk to Gabriel again instead.
Elaris
Uhm.. About the brothers that you mentioned earlier
Gabriel Thieron
What about them?
Lilith
We just want to tell you that they're not the typical students you have seen before.
Elaris
They're the heirs of a wealthy family around this area, they're not the type of students who would follow your orders
Gabriel Thieron
Ah, quite rebellious?
Gabriel Thieron
*smiles at both of them* Thank you, you two
Gabriel Thieron
I'll see what I can do.
Gabriel Thieron
But I'll need to meet them first before I plan on how to keep up with them.
Gabriel Thieron
I appreciate both of your help.
Elaris
We just really want you to stay.
Gabriel Thieron
Because of both of you, I actually might stay here.
Lilith
Well, bye now sir!!!
Lilith
Take care on your way home!
Gabriel Thieron
Goodbye, students.
Gabriel picked up his briefcase and laptop and decided to make his way to the council.
He decided to meet Scarlette.
Gabriel Thieron
I wonder if he's at the council right now..
"I'll be in the main building library"
Gabriel Thieron
*remembered* Ah, yes.
Gabriel checked the windows of the library if anyone was there.
He saw Scarlette sitting near the window across the library reading a book with what seemed to be wine in his other hand.
Gabriel Thieron
(entered the library)
Isolde Scarlette
(Checks who entered)
Gabriel Thieron
Good morning..
Isolde Scarlette
*Nods* What brings you here?
Gabriel Thieron
(made his way to Scarlette)
Gabriel Thieron
Sorry for the disturbance, I was just wondering where I would be staying while I'm here
Isolde Scarlette
Ah, apologies. We forgot to include it in the email we sent you.
Gabriel Thieron
No worries.
Isolde Scarlette
There are three separate building of dormitories at the back of the school. It's where teachers and students stay.
Isolde Scarlette
Would you like me to accompany you?
Gabriel Thieron
Yes, please.
Isolde Scarlette
But before that, let's head to the Council to get your dorm number.
Gabriel Thieron
*nods in agreement*
The two made their way to the council, then to Scarlette's office.
Isolde Scarlette
Please take a seat while I search for your dorm number.
Gabriel Thieron
(sat down on the couch in front of Scarlette's desk)
Scarlette opened his computer and started searching while Gabriel took out his phone.
As Gabriel scrolled through he emails sent from the previous university he worked at, he felt his eyes getting heavier.
Gabriel Thieron
*yawns* (covered his mouth)
Isolde Scarlette
I'm sorry, this might take long.
Isolde Scarlette
Feel free to take some rest while I search.
Gabriel Thieron
It's fine, please take your time.
Gabriel tried to keep himself together as he waited for Scarlette to find his dorm number.
But the weight of his eyes was becoming unbearable.
Gabriel Thieron
[This is odd. I have never felt sleepy at such random places before.]
Gabriel Thieron
[I can't even fall asleep whenever I move to a new place...]
Gabriel Thieron
(Rubs his temples)
Although Gabriel tried his best to stay awake, he still managed to doze off.
Gabriel Thieron
*furrowed his brows*
Gabriel Thieron
(Opened his eyes) *gasp*
Gabriel's eyes widened as he noticed how close Scarlette was.
Scarlette seemed to notice Gabriel waking up, yet he ignored him and moved down to his neck.
Gabriel Thieron
Scarlette- excuse me?
Isolde Scarlette
(Pinned both Gabriel's hands down on the couch) You're just dreaming.
Gabriel flinced as he felt Scarlette's tongue touch his neck
Gabriel Thieron
*Hissed* ah!
Isolde Scarlette
(Bites his neck)
Gabriel Thieron
Ah! You're hurting me, Scarlette! *frowns*
Gabriel struggled to break free from Scarlette's grip.
He could Scarlette sucking on his neck.
Soon, Gabriel started to feel his energy being drained.
Gabriel Thieron
*groans* Stop...
A surge of heat enveloped Gabriel's body as Scarlette continues.
His brows curled upward, the pain soon turning into pleasure leaving his mouth gaping open.
Isolde Scarlette
(moves away)
Isolde Scarlette
(Licks the blood dripping from his lips)
Gabriel Thieron
(glanced at Scarlette)
Gabriel Thieron
[His eyes... Are glowing again]
Isolde Scarlette
Good night, Mr. Thieron.
