The way the 19th year of my life started, I thought I entered through the door of an ever lasting nightmare. Got betrayed by my closest people. My heart shattered several times. It's my 19th birthday. Some of my friends threw a surprise party for me in the evening. The party just ended...........I came out of the restaurant where the party was held.........looked at my watch.

"Gosh! It's 12 : 40 already. My mom's gonna be so mad at me"....... My best friend Kristi said

" oh please! Have you just forgotten that it's your birthday today? It's natural for you to return home a bit late "

Well, she does have a point. " Actually you're right." We started laughing. I got distracted for a while.

Kristi as ked me " what's wrong Lea? You look a bit sad. Is anything bothering you?

I took a deep breath and said " actually I wish James was here "

Kristi slapped me in the head and said " are you f*cking kidding me right now? You're making the long face just because your so called busy boyfriend couldn't make it to your birthday party? Right now you're with your friends and there is no possible reason for you to think of him. If you do, you'll know the consequences....."

she said while warming up her joints.

Well I can't complain. She is the most hilarious and caring friend I can ever imagine............kristi just came up with an idea.

Kristi : why don't we go to the city club to grab a drink?

Me : Well you know I never say no to a nice chance for whisky..............count me in.

Kristi : now we're talking.......let's go.

At The City Club

We are going through the entrance. And we saw a couple kissing each other aggressively. Which seems pretty gross to me. But something seemed a little familiar about them. But I'm ignoring them for now. So we got a table and ordered our drinks. After a while Kristi started to talk........

Kristi : Look at that couple over there Lea.

I took a look and saw it's the same couple from the entrance.

Me : That redhead guy sure is super passionate towards that blondie. I saw them kissing in the entrance while coming hear.

Kristi : What are you saying? I'm laughing the crap out of me. Btw he looks a lot like James though.........For a sec I almost mistook him to be your boyfriend.

While laughing at what Kristi said I suddenly recognise the watch in the guy's hand. I just figured out its actually James. But who's he with?

Me : Isn't that actually James?

Kristi : Holy crap! It seems like so. But you're here so who's he kissing?

Me : Doesn't that girl look so similar to Silvi?

Kristi : Silvi!!!!? You mean you're sister?

As soon as Kristi said that I couldn't stop myself from going to them for an explanation. Kristi followed me. I went to them and pulled James apart from silvi and was so shocked to be sure that it was them.

Me : James ! Silvi ! What are you guys doing?

Silvi : Are you blind bitch? Can't you see for yourself?

Kristi : James is this what you meant by busy when I asked you to come to Lea's birthday party?

James : Ow so you came to know already? I like Silvi. So now could you please leave us alone? You completely ruined the moment.

Me : But why would you do this to me? I thought you loved me.

James : Well you were just a toy for me the whole time. There was no such love I had for you. I just wanted your body, that's all .But till this 6 months of relationship I never even got the chance to kiss you. But Silvi would offer herself to me from the beginning.

Me : Silvi why did you do this to me? You are my little sister. I love you so m....

Silvi : Huh......sister? Love? Where do you even get these words from? To make it clear it's "step sisters." Dad always loved you more than me. Even when he was in his last breath, he asked for you to talk with him as his last say and blessed you. But he never asked to see me. All of this happened just because of you..

That's true. We're step sisters. But I always loved and treated her like my own sister. But she hated me from the very beginning. My mom died when I was just 7 and dad had a lot of work

at our family share holding company "Thomas group" so he thought I was lonely. My dad loved my mom a lot. But he married another woman for my sake and that's my step mother and also Silvi's own mother. She also hated me from the beginning. Though she never expressed it while my father was alive, my dad understood a bit. My dad was the only one who cared for me. But he also passed away a year ago and that's when my step mother's true self was reflected. She would treat me as if I don't belong to this family. As if I'm an outsider.

Dad : Lea. You know how much I love you. But you have to take care of yourself from now on.

I grabbed his hand tightly and was crying really hard.

Me : Please don't say anything like that. I wanna go with you. I have no one except for you.

Dad : Oh my silly girl. My time has almost ended. Now I'll get the chance to see your mother. You're my strong little girl. You still have your whole life ahead.

Me : What if I'm not strong enough? What if the whole world turn against me? How will I manage without you?

Dad : I know you'll be fine. I signed the whole "Thomas Company" in your name. You will be the next chairman after me.

Me : What about Silvi? Doesn't she get any?

Dad : You can't be so soft hearted. She bullies you all the time but you're still thinking about her?

Me : She is my sister after all.

Dad : Sigh! Yes. That's why I kept the project of the fashion house for her. Also stay aware of Silvi and Linda. Your sister and mother might try to get you when I'm gone. After all its time for me to meet my beloved Jully again.

Me : Dad, can you hear me? ........Dad? .....Dad talk to me! !

Me : Silvi I can't believe what you just did.

Silvi : If you don't have anything else to say then **** off.......James and I still have 'stuff' to do.

I ran straight out of the club with tears in my eyes. I heard Kristi's voice calling me to wait for her. But I didn't dare to look back. As I came out of the front door I bumped into a guy in the walkway. I raised my head and saw a guy looking like a prince. I might say, he had quite a lot charm. He was dressed formally and had a few body guards or managers behind him. I still had tears in my eyes. One of the body guard started shouting at me........

Body Gaurd : Hey! Are you blind? How dare you bump into Mr. Howard like that?

Me : I'm so sorry. I didn't do it on purpose. It was just an acci........

Body Gaurd : Do you think saying sorry is enough?

As the body gaurd was yelling at me, the guy Mr. Howard stopped him and said "leave her alone." The body gaurd stopped and they left the place. Kristi appeared.

Kristi : Lea you do run super fast. Btw who was that guy? Did something happened?

Me : I don't know. He was someone called Mr. Howard. I accidentally bumped into him and......

Kristi : What! You actually bumped into Mr. Howard? ? Did he beat the crap out of you by his men. Or did he threatened to kill you?

Me : Why would he do that? It was just an accident. It's not like I've done some sort of crime or anything.

Kristi : So you don't know who Mr. Howard is do you? He's the president of the biggest investing company of the country the "Howard Group" .

Me : Wait a minute. Does this mean that he's Kevin Howard?

Kristi : Yes. Even your family company "Thomas Group" is a shareholder of "Howard Group".

Kristi : You should go back home. It's getting late.

Me : I don't want to go home. Silvi will also be there. She will provoke me once I go back.

Kristi : Then where will you go?

Me : I don't know.

Kristi : Then come to my apartment. My house maybe small since I live alone but I do have an extra room and bed.

Me : Are you sure? I don't wanna bother you.

Kristi : Oh come on Lea don't be silly. You're my best friend.
