The sky is gray. Water puddles mirror the soft drizzle. Paper boats float in small streams along the roadside. Somewhere under a broken tin shade, sits a little boy — lost, quiet.
Jungkook (10)
Sits with arms wrapped around his knees, staring down.
Tae (9)
Barefoot, wearing a blue hoodie too big for him, Hair damp with rain, upholding a broken umbrella
Tae (9)
"Jungkook why are you sitting here like a grumpy grandpa." (cheerfully)
Jungkook (10)
"it's raining. My boat drowned. I lost again." (dryly)
Tae (9)
"Then build a stronger one I'll help." (grinning sits bestie him)
Jungkook (10)
"I don't want help.I hate losing." (low voice)
Tae (9)
"You didn't lose the board did. He hands him a folded paper from his pocket." (seriously)
Tae (9)
"I keep one extra for you." (softly)
Jungkook (10)
"You always do that." (look at him surprised)
Tae (9)
"Because you always forget yourself." (shrugs)
A smile flickers on Jungkook's lips
Jungkook's house same evening
inside a modernist home from light glows. Jong-suk (Jungkook's father) watches from the window. IU (his mom) holds laundry quietly.
Jong-suk
"Tae again" (say to IU)
IU
"That boy....... he already on his heart." (Smile)
Jungkook and tae set together under the tin roof, watching the water flow.
Tae (9)
"When we grow up.... Will you still with me?" (suddenly)
Jungkook (10)
"Will there still be rain?" (blink)
Tae (9)
"Yes. And paper boats too." (laughs softly)
Jungkook (10)
"Then I will sit." (quietly)
Kim Namjoon (tae father) watches Tae drying his hair. Jin(his mom) bring hot soup to the table.

"They're Always together." (to Jin)
Kim Jin
"It's innocent, childhood love."
Kim Namjoon
"But the world isn't innocent." (Whispers)
Neighborhood wall (Night)
A boy watches tae from afar. Hidden the corner. Paper board in hand, untouched

"he smiles at him again." (to him self)

"I was here too, Tae." (softly)
He dropped his boat in silence. It floats away
Street site (Jungkook And Tae)
Tae and Jungkook now walking side by side. Jungkook suddenly put the umbrella over tae more than himself.
Tae (9)
"You'll get wet." (surprised)
Jungkook (10)
"So what? you'll stay drive." (calmly)
Tae (9)
"I like rain...." (blushing)
Jungkook (10)
"I like you more."
Tae (9)
"I hope you didn't forget this day." (softly)
Jungkook (10)
"I won't. This rain... It started it all."

"Growing Feet, Growing Distance"

Hello and good morning everyone
I hope you all are a good
Same town, now middle school students. Innocence remains, but shifts begin.
Kids rush around during recess. Tae, now 12, taller and quieter, draws something in her notebook. Jungkook stands with some boys across the yard, laughing.
Jimin(13)
"Tae! Don't draw hearts again. Last time it was his name."( Playfully)
Tae (13)
"Shut up, jimin. It's just a doodle." (blushing)
Jimin(13)
"Sure..... Just a doodle with curly J's." (smiling)
Tae closes the notebook quickly, hiding a heart drawn with ‘JK’ inside.
The teacher writes on the board. Jungkook sits two rows ahead of Tae. He turns slightly to pass a note to his friend — but doesn’t look back at Tae.
Tae (13)
"He used to share pencils... now not even a glance."(whispers to herself)
Tae sits on a swing, legs dragging in the dirt. Bogum approaches with two strawberry ice creams.
Bogum(16)
"You still like strawberry flavor?"
Tae (13)
"Always." (smiles faintly)
He gives him the cone and sits quietly beside him.
Bogum(16)
"You don’t talk much these days. Not even about him."
Tae (13)
"What’s there to say? He’s growing... just not with me."(softly)
Jungkook sits at his desk. A photo of him and Tae as kids sits on the shelf. He looks at it, expression unreadable. IU knocks softly.
IU
"You haven’t gone out with Tae lately."(gently)
Jungkook(14)
"We’re not kids anymore."(avoids eye contact)
IU
"Growing feet shouldn’t mean growing distance."
Jungkook(14)
"Some things are better far away."(quiet)
He turns the photo frame face down.
Rain falls again. Tae walks under a small umbrella. He pauses at the old tin roof where they once sat together. It’s empty.
Tae (13)
"We used to sit here. When paper boats were enough."(voiceover)
He places a paper boat near the puddle, then turns away.
BOGUM’S ROOM – SAME NIGHT
Bogum stares at the same swing photo from earlier. He opens a journal. On the first page:
“He never saw me. And I never stopped looking.”
Jungkook(14)
"This world’s too loud. His silence was peace. But peace... I can’t afford anymore."(Jungkook's voice, thinking alone)

"Growing feet, growing distance."(He whispers to himself)

That Boy Wasn’t Me
Tae walks down the corridor with Jimin. They pass a group of boys whispering and pointing.

"He thinks Jungkook still likes him? Cute."(mocking)

"Didn’t you see him with Minho yesterday? He held his hand."
Tae flinches but doesn’t stop. Jimin clenches his fists.
Jimin(13)
"Ignore them. You know how people lie."(angrily)
Tae (13)
"Still... it hurts."(softly)
SCHOOL ROOFTOP _ AFTERNOON
Jungkook sits on the edge, eyes closed. Suga walks up behind him, holding a bottle of soda.
Suga (14)
"Why are you avoiding him like a ghost?"
Jungkook(14)
"Because ghosts don’t break promises. I did."
Suga (14)
"You didn’t break anything. He still waits for you."(frowns)
Jungkook(14)
"No. He waits for a boy who isn’t me anymore. "
Suga (14)
"Then who are you now?"
Jungkook(14)
"Someone darker. That boy wasn’t me."(quietly)
Tae sits by his window. Rain begins again. He clutches a small photo of him and Jungkook under their old tin roof.
Tae (13)
"He smiled so brightly back then... Where did that boy go?"(whispers)
Bogum sees Tae walking home in rain without an umbrella. He runs up and covers him with his jacket.

"You’ll catch a cold."
Tae (13)
"Maybe then I’ll stop feeling this."
bogum(13)
"He’s blind, Tae. But I’m not."
Tae (13)
"That boy I loved? He’s gone."(tired smile)
bogum(13)
"That boy wasn’t me. But I wish he was."(softly)
JUNGKOOK’S ROOM – LATE NIGHT
Jungkook stares at an old notebook filled with drawings Tae made. He touches a heart drawn around his name.
Jungkook(14)
"That boy who held his hand, laughed with him, protected him... that boy wasn’t me anymore."(voiceover)
He shuts the notebook and walks to the window.
Jungkook(14)
"And maybe I never deserved him."(softly)
