Now Ana is in a celebration for one of Luke's siblings 19th birthday when Ana sees Luke playing cards with some other fellow members of the mafia for a prize money, and you decide to join.

Raises an eyebrow, a smirk playing on my lips, "Big spender,"comments, matching your bet with $1000 of his own chips. The other men at the table exchange glances, sensing the tension between the two rivals. Ace leans forward slightly, resting his elbows on the table.

"Let's see what you've got then," Ace says, flipping over his cards. He's holding a pair of eights, a decent hand but not exceptional. He watches as you slowly reveal your cards, his heart rate picking up slightly in anticipation.

As your cards are revealed—three kings—the table goes silent. Luke's smirk falters briefly before he regains his composure. He leans back in his chair, clapping slowly. "Fucking hell," he mutters under his breath. The other players start pushing their chips towards you.

He watches as you sweep your winnings into a neat pile in front of you. He can't help but admire your skill and the way you carry yourself with such confidence. Without thinking, he pushes another $2000 chips towards you. "One more round?" he asks, his voice lower than before.

The second round begins, and the atmosphere is charged with even more tension. Luke deals the cards carefully, trying to keep his face expressionless. As the hands are revealed, Luke has a full house—aces over kings. He smiles confidently, thinking he finally has you beat this time.

Luke leans back in his chair, a victorious smirk spreading across his face as he waits for you to reveal your cards. The other players are on the edge of their seats, whispering amongst themselves. Suddenly, you flip over your cards revealing a straight flush—ten through ace of hearts. The room goes dead silent.

Luke's smile immediately drops as he stares at your winning hand. He swallows hard, his eyes flicking between your cards and your face. The other players whistle and cheer for you. Luke slowly pushes his $2000 chips towards you without a word. His ego is clearly bruised.

Luke watches as you stand up, his jaw clenched. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a thick envelope, slapping it down on the table in front of you. "Here's your $10,000 prize," he says through gritted teeth, As you reach for the envelope...

The men around the table watch you walk away, their eyes wide with respect. "Damn," one of them mutters. "She won like $10,000 tonight without even trying." Luke watches your retreating back tightly, his expression unreadable. He suddenly realizes something.
