The city lights twinkle like stars as I gazed out from my room window of my new house. It was a far cry from the small town I grew up in, where the only lights came from the stars and the occasional passing of cars. I felt excited but also nervous for starting a new life in the city, it meant new school, new people and new places. I didn't expect the city to be so huge, its like it never ends and just keeps on going, roads leading to different places, sounds of people chattering on the sidewalk, honks of the cars and musicians playing in the streets.
My mom and I moved here a week ago because she inherited the job as a CEO for Russo Incorporated, one of the most biggest companies that my grandpa owned before he died and soon after a few years, I will inherit the company and become the new CEO, this all felt surreal. The towering skyscrapers, the constant hum of traffic, the diversity of people rushing to and from places, it was different from the quietness of my hometown. But it was breath taking.
I just sat there watching everything unfold. The lights made everything look beautiful. This is New York, known for its lights and chaotic moments. It was calming in a weird way. I wondered if the noises ever stop.
I felt a pang of wonder as I took in the sight. As I gazed out at the city, I felt a sense of possibility. This is the new chapter of my life, full of unknowns and a new variety of different opportunities. I'm determined to make the most of it, I'm going to explore this city, find new hobbies and just be free.
I knew it was not going to be easy to adjust to the city, but for now, at this moment, I felt like I belonged here. The city might be overwhelming, but it was full of life, full of energy, and I was ready to be part of it, ready to open up to new people and especially to my new school. Ready to face my fears and become a whole new person.
Tomorrow I start my first day at Westwood High. I was nervous about fitting in and making new friends. First impressions are extremely important especially on the first day of high school. I already had my outfit planned, it was not fancy or too little, it was just plain. I stared out the window one last time, just enjoying the view. I stood up and quickly had a shower and changed into my pajamas. I placed all my teddy bears in one corner, just to keep things neat and tidy, I then scrolled through my socials and replied to every text from my old friends.I told them about how lovely the city was and that they are missing out. I turned off my phone and then the lights and went sleep.
Today was my first day of my new school. The building was huge and there were lots of students in the hallway. The sounds of walking, lockers opening and closing, chatter and laughter filled the air. I wore a baggy hoodie with sweatpants, red and black sneakers and my hair was in a messy bun. As I walked to my locker, I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned around only to see someone smiling at me.
"Hi I'm Lily, you must be the new girl, right?"
Lily had long red hair, blue eyes and she was the same height as me. She wore a pink skirt with a white crop top.
"Yea, I'm Ella"
"nice to meet you, Ella"
Before class started, Lily showed me around the school and even introduced me to her friends Stacy and Jasmine. Stacy had brown hair, brown eyes, and she wore a baggy shirt with sweatpants. Jasmine had black hair, brown eyes, and she wore a jacket with plain blue jeans. Soon the bell rang, and my first class was history.
My history teacher, Mr Kyle assigned me to sit at the back of the class. I sat next to a kid that looked annoyed. He was wearing a tight black shirt that showed off his muscular body and sweatpants. His hair was fluffy and brown, he had emerald green eyes and his hands had lots of veins. He looked annoyed.
Class started, and Mr Kyle introduced himself and explained the rules of his classroom. As the class discussion began, I found myself getting more engaged. The topics were familiar, but the perspectives were fresh and exciting, I answered a few questions and gave my opinion earning a few nods and agreements from my classmates.
The kid next to me was quiet, and he didn't look like he was paying attention. Mr Kyle noticed this and called out to him.
"Mr Larsen would you pay attention, this lesson is important, and you know that"
He rolled his eyes and paid attention. He was attractive and his emerald green eyes were so beautiful, his jawline was sharp, and he had a really intense look. I couldn't help but steal glances at him a few times and I think he noticed it because he slightly smirked which made me blush slightly.
Soon class ended, and I immediately walked out to find Lily, Stacy and Jasmine. They were standing by the lockers and talking and I walked towards them. Stacy looked at me with a stunned expression.
"Omg!! Did you just come out of history?"
"yea, why?"
All three of them looked at me with surprised expressions, but soon they smiled.
"You just had history with Nathan Larsen."
"who's that?"
"He's the school's bad boy. He gets into fights and find out personal information about someone and exposes them in front of the whole school of they make him mad or annoyed."
I looked at them with a shocked expression. The guy in my history class, who I sit next to is a bad boy and who might also be stalking people for fun.
I leaned against my locker, looking at the new girl talking with her friends. She seemed so out of place, I couldn't help bit be intrigued by her. I needed to find out about her.
"Hey Nathan, what's got you so captivated?" my friend Jason asked, following my gaze towards the new girl.
"The new girl, do you know anything about her?
Jason raised his eyebrows and looked at me.
"Yea, her name is Ella, she's from a small town, and she moved here a couple of weeks ago. She's cute."
I glared at Jason as he called Ella cute. I wanted her to be mine and that includes no one calling her names or touching her.
"Don't start Jason."
"Hey man, I wasn't planning on it, but you on the other hand are interested in her."
I shrugged trying to play it cool as I just looked at Ella.
"I'm just curious, she doesn't seem like the other girls. She's unique."
Jason chuckled and left to find the other guys. I continued looking at Ella, she was different all right, she was fresh and innocent. I was drawn to her like a moth to a flame. I wanted to know more about her and I will. Probably have to place cameras in her room, learn her schedule, learn about her past and also find out why she's here.
The bell rang signaling that it was time for the second period was biology. I wasn't perfect at science stuff, but I also didn't care. I pushed off the lockers and headed straight for biology. As I entered I saw Ella sitting at the back, again she was sitting next to me. I sat down beside her and glanced at her a few times. She looked so beautiful, her messy bun, baggy hoodie and sweatpants made her look attractive. I had to stop my thoughts from wondering to places it should not go to.
"Mr Larsen would you pay attention or would you like to sit in the principal's office?"
I looked at Mrs Harrison as she called me out for not paying attention. I rolled my eyes and I hated that every teacher called me by my last name. Ella looked at me, my emerald green eyes met her ocean blue eyes and fuck they were beautiful. I wish I could devour her right here and right now. But I can't cause she's new and needs to get use to her surroundings. For the next 10 minutes I paid attention even though biology was boring. I took down a few notes, glanced at Ella a few times and just looked around when Mrs Harrison was not looking at me.
Soon class was over and it was lunch time. I thought about stalking Ella but I'll do that when I get home. I sat in my usual spot of the cafeteria with Jason, Nick and Daniel, we all talked about Jay's party and a bunch of other stuff.
