The Alpha's Forbidden Mate

Summary

Hello my lovely readers,

This is my new novel.

I hope you will all like it and love it.

After completing it, I will also try to write it in the form of a chat story as many of you like reading it like this.

Please 🙏 forgive me if I made any mistakes.

And also guide me, and give me your lovely suggestions, and support me.

Summary:

Two ancient, powerful families—one feared, one revered. Bound by friendship, power, and a history of blood, business, and secrets.

The Verma family rules the world with intelligence, influence, and government ties. The Rael family rules from the shadows—with ruthless mafia strength, global empires… and a secret no one knows. They're werewolves. And Kian Rael, their only heir, is the destined Alpha King.

Growing up next door, Kian and Aira have been inseparable since childhood—partners in crime, co-founders of a top-secret global company, sparring buddies, and best friends with just a little extra tension. Kian has always been weirdly clingy, suspiciously overprotective, and annoyingly obsessed with Aira. But only he knows the truth now—she might be his fated mate.

He’s been hiding it. Hiding everything. Waiting until his 18th birthday to finally claim her—mate or not. But fate plays its own game.

Just one day before his birthday, a mysterious attack leaves Aira injured and lost in the very forest no human dares enter… the territory of the werewolves.

When the guards find an unconscious girl on sacred land, they prepare to lock her up. But when Kian discovers the girl is his Aira, the cold, emotionless Alpha King the pack fears is replaced with someone no one’s ever seen before—a possessive, panicked, soft-hearted mess of a man who carries her straight into his private chambers… a place no soul is allowed.

Secrets unravel. Worlds collide. And destinies ignite.

Because Aira isn’t just anyone.

She’s the girl the Alpha was never supposed to love.

She’s the only human allowed into a forbidden world.

And she’s about to find out everything—from mafia bloodlines to moonlit battles, from supernatural powers to the truth about Kian Rael… and her own place in this twisted fate.

Themes:

Fated mates, childhood best friends to lovers, mafia x werewolf fantasy, forbidden secrets, badass heroine, protective alpha male, hidden identities, romantic chaos, and hilarious tension.

Bye bye my lovely readers, see you all in the coming chapters. 👋👋

EPISODE - 1 Into The Forbidden Forest

It was early evening.

The sky was a canvas of melting oranges and pinks, slowly deepening into purples as the sun began its descent. Birds were calling it a day, and street lamps blinked to life. Cities buzzed. Restaurants opened. Couples laughed. Businessmen rushed. Kids whined.

But not here.

This road—snaking like a shadow through a dense, whispering forest—was a different world altogether. Not a soul in sight. Trees loomed like quiet sentinels, their roots gnarled and twisted. Wind rustled leaves like secrets being passed. The air smelled of moss, pine, and something ancient. Wild.

No one drove this road. Not anymore.

The stories kept people away. Tales of disappearances, of eyes glowing in the dark, of how even the bravest rescue teams never returned.

And right now, tearing down that cursed road like a bat out of hell, was a severely damaged black sports car—one headlight blinking pathetically, tires squealing for mercy, engine roaring like a dying animal.

Inside it?

A girl. Nineteen. Bloody, bruised, brilliant. Armed with a stubborn spirit and some very dangerous secrets.

Aira Verma.

If her brother saw her like this, he'd kill her. If her best friend—no, best idiot—saw her, he’d throw her over his shoulder, lock her in a vault, and then personally burn this road.

Too bad he wasn’t here.

Aira glanced in the rear-view mirror. The cars were still tailing her. Damn it.

Of course they were. She was carrying research that could rewrite the future—or destroy it. Depending on who had it.

The cars behind hesitated as she drove deeper into the forest, their headlights flickering in uncertainty.

Cowards, she thought.

But a few were too stupid—or too greedy—to be afraid. They followed.

“This car is going to fall apart before I even crash it,” Aira muttered, slamming the wheel right. Her seatbelt cut into her shoulder as the car screeched and hurtled into the jungle.

Branches slapped at her windshield. She was driving blind, fast, and borderline feral.

Then—BANG.

A shot rang out. Her left tire blew. The car twisted, kissed a tree, and flew off a ledge like a poorly-written action movie.

“Of course!” Aira screamed as she yanked the door open mid-air and flung herself out.

Gravity said: Yeet.

She rolled. Rocks tore at her back. Her arm screamed. Her ribs protested.

The car exploded behind her like a scene from Fast and Furious: Budget Forest Edition.

The blast wave threw her into a bush, where she curled up, clutching a metal briefcase to her chest and hissing in pain.

Still breathing. Good sign.

Then, darkness.

Meanwhile, somewhere deeper in the forest…

“We found a human on the western ridge,” reported Guard Number Four to Beta Rayne, who was busy looking like he hadn’t slept in a week.

Rayne scowled. “What part of ‘no humans’ was unclear?”

“She’s unconscious. Bleeding. Smells like smoke and—burnt eyebrows?”

Rayne pinched the bridge of his nose. “Ugh. Alpha’s gonna lose it. Again.”

The Alpha in question—Kian Rael—was not in a good mood. For one, he was stuck doing boring werewolf politics when all he wanted to do was spend time with her—Aira. His partner-in-crime. His reason for being slightly less homicidal. His secret mate.

Also, his eighteenth birthday was tomorrow. The day he'd finally find out if the girl he’d been glued to since he was five was really his fated mate or just someone he’d imprint on anyway out of sheer obsession.

Spoiler alert: he didn't plan on letting her go either way.

Rayne sighed. “Should we toss her in the dungeon?”

“She’s injured,” Guard Four said. “Looks…important?”

Rayne groaned. “Fine. Infirmary. But lock the door. And call the Alpha.”

Fifteen minutes later…

Kian walked into the infirmary, already rehearsing a speech in his head about how humans weren’t allowed and why Rayne was the dumbest Beta to ever exist.

Then he saw her.

Covered in blood. Her clothes singed. Clutching a locked briefcase like her life depended on it.

And despite everything—despite all his training, his cold control, his deeply feared alpha temper—he froze.

His voice was hoarse. “Aira…?”

The guards and medics stared, wide-eyed, as the usually terrifying, emotionless Alpha King scooped the unconscious girl up in his arms like she was made of glass and stormed out.

“Where are you taking her?” one guard dared to ask.

Kian didn’t even turn.

“To my quarters,” he growled.

Everyone gasped.

Rayne nearly choked on air. “That place is off-limits to even your parents!”

Kian didn’t look back. “She’s the only one who’s ever been allowed there. She always was.”

EPISODE - 2 The Alpha's Room (a.k.a. the No-Go Zone)

Beep… beep… beep…

Aira’s head was pounding. Her body felt like it had been used to test a truck’s durability. Twice.

But the beeping?

The beeping was driving her insane.

She cracked one eye open.

White ceiling. Fancy lighting. A vague smell of sandalwood and… forest?

And something very expensive.

“…Am I dead?” she croaked.

Nope. Because the pain still felt very not - dead.

She sat up—or tried to. Her ribs screamed in protest, and she flopped back down like a pancake.

Where the hell am I?

Last she remembered, she was being chased through a haunted forest by armed lunatics and launching herself out of an exploding car like a low-budget action hero. Definitely not a five-star hospital ending.

Her eyes scanned the room.

Minimalist but luxurious. Huge. Black walls, silver accents, velvet textures. A floor-to-ceiling painting of a massive black wolf with glowing amber eyes hung behind a sleek fireplace.

Creepy much?

There were no windows. Just shadows, rich woods, and… warmth.

And a large armchair in the corner.

Occupied.

She froze.

He was sitting there. Elbows on his knees. Hands tangled in his hair. Head down like the world had just betrayed him.

Kian Rael.

Her best friend. Her headache. Her ride-or-die.

Her very much supposed to be miles away on a business trip best friend.

“…Kian?” she whispered.

His head snapped up.

Their eyes locked.

For a moment, he just stared—like she might disappear again.

And then, in three long strides, he was by her side.

“You’re awake,” he said softly, like he still couldn’t believe it. “Thank the Moon.”

“ You’re not supposed to be here,” she whispered. “You said business trip. You lied, you traitor.”

He huffed, jaw clenched. “You nearly died, Aira. Don’t start with sarcasm.”

“I always start with sarcasm. It’s how I flirt.”

Kian’s lips twitched.

Relief, amusement, and something warmer flashed in his eyes.

And then he did something weird.

He reached out. Like he was going to touch her cheek—but stopped halfway. His hand hovered there, shaking slightly.

Aira blinked. “Are you… okay?”

“No,” he muttered. “You scared the hell out of me.”

“I scare everyone. It’s one of my talents.”

His jaw clenched tighter. “You were bleeding everywhere. I thought—” He swallowed. “I thought I lost you.”

Her sarcasm died in her throat.

She stared at him.

There was something strange about him. Not just the worry in his eyes or the bags under them. Something different.

“…Kian?” she said slowly. “Where are we?”

He hesitated.

Then said, “Somewhere safe.”

“Liar.”

“I’ll explain. I swear. But you need to rest.”

“No.”

He groaned. “Why are you like this?”

“Because one minute I’m driving a broken car through a cursed forest, and the next I wake up in what looks like a werewolf version of a Gucci dungeon. I deserve answers.”

Kian looked skyward like he was praying for patience.

“…Fine. But no screaming.”

“Do I look like a screamer?”

“Emotionally? Yes.”

She rolled her eyes. “Tell me everything.”

Meanwhile… outside the Alpha’s chambers:

Beta Rayne stood in front of the double doors like a guard dog with PTSD.

“I can’t believe he took her in there,” one pack warrior whispered.

“She’s human,” another hissed. “We should’ve locked her up. What if she’s a hunter?”

Rayne sipped his fourth cup of wolf-strength coffee and sighed.

“You’re all idiots,” he muttered.

Back inside the room…

Aira stared at him like he had three heads.

“You’re… a werewolf?”

Kian winced. “Yup.”

“And your whole family?”

“Mmhm.”

“And I’m in werewolf territory, which humans are forbidden to enter because your people hate humans?”

“Technically accurate, yes.”

She blinked. “And yet… here I am. In your very off-limits Alpha chamber.”

“…Yes.”

Silence.

Aira stared at the wolf painting.

Then at him.

Then said:

“Well. That explains the weird howling playlist you once had on repeat.”

Kian groaned. “I was practicing shifts. You weren’t supposed to hear that.”

“I thought you were just really into wolves.”

She leaned back on the bed dramatically.

“You know,” she mused, “this explains a lot. The growling. The overprotective alpha tantrums. The freakishly good sense of smell.”

He crossed his arms. “You done?”

“No. But I’m hungry.”

He blinked.

She batted her lashes. “Feed me, wolf boy.”

“…You almost died.”

“I almost die every month trying to file taxes. Feed me.”

Kian exhaled like she was the most exhausting miracle he’d ever encountered.

But he rang the bell for food anyway.

Because despite all the chaos, secrets, bloodlines, and rules…

She was here. Alive.

And still his Aira.
