Two girls. Two worlds. One story that will destroy and rebuild them both.

Front row. Bubble tea. Bright skirts. Brighter smile.
Bliss D'Souza wasn’t trying to stand out. She just didn’t know how to blend in.
She tripped over her own shoes. Forgot her umbrella every other day. Had five different playlists for brushing her teeth, and a laugh that made strangers pause.
She believed in big feelings, cheesy romance, and kissing in the rain—even if she hadn’t tried it yet.
People either adored her or couldn’t keep up. But the one girl who never looked at her—Grace Fernandez—was the only one she wanted to see her.

Third row. Black coffee. Black sweater. Black eyes.
Grace Fernandez didn’t live in the world—she survived it.
Furthermore, she liked corners, headphones with no music, and people who didn’t talk too much. She wasn’t shy. She just… didn’t see the point of speaking if no one ever listened.
Not only that, but her planner was color-coded. Her clothes were muted. Her smile, if it existed, came with a time limit.
She didn’t believe in love. She believed in patterns. Safety. Solitude. Silence.
Until Bliss D'Souza arrived and broke every single one of them.
.
.
.
.
★And so it began★
Grace sat in the café. Bliss walked past her table like she always did.
One day, she said.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Hi.
Grace didn’t answer. The next day, she said again.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Hii.
Grace blinked. By the third week, Bliss was sitting across from her with two drinks. One black. One honey-sweet.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
You look like you need someone to ruin your day in a good way.
Bliss grinned.
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
You’re loud.
Grace said.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
You’re not.
Bliss smiled wider.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
We balance.
Grace didn’t smile back. But she didn’t look away either.
.
.
.
.
Two girls.
One silent storm.
The other is a walking spark.
The fire hadn’t started yet.
But it was already inevitable.

Let's start with our first chapter 😌😌
.
.
.
.
Every afternoon at 4:17 PM, Grace Fernandez entered the campus café and sat at her usual table—third from the back, next to the window, always alone.
She liked her world the way she liked her coffee: strong, silent, no sugar.
Grace was the type who remembered the sound of someone’s footsteps before their name. The girl who took detailed notes but never raised her hand. The one who seemed hard to reach—not because she was above people, but because she was always elsewhere.
Except now, someone kept sitting across from her.
.
.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Hey, Grace
Bliss D'Souza chirped, plopping down like she belonged there. Grace blinked up, caught between an eye-roll and a sigh.
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Again?
She said flatly.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Again.
Bliss grinned, placing two drinks on the table.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Iced Americano, no sugar… but with two sugar cubes and a sticker you’ll pretend not to notice.
There it was.
That damn winking cat sticker stuck right on the straw wrapper.
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
I hate sugar. *muttered*
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
*heard it* You hated people too, and yet… here we are.
Grace didn’t smile. But something in her eyes twitched. Something… soft.
.
.
They weren’t friends, not officially. Grace didn’t do friends. And Bliss? Bliss had a whole parade of them. She belonged to everyone. She lit up rooms and kissed her besties on the cheek and handed out compliments like candy.
But with Grace?
Bliss was different. Calmer. More focused. Like she saw her, and only her.
And Grace had no idea what to do with that.
.
.
It started weeks ago, with Bliss just waving in the hallway. Then sitting two tables away. Then one. Then right across from her.
She didn’t ask.
She just… settled in.
She talked. Grace listened. She laughed. Grace nodded. She brought drinks. Grace drank them. Every time. Even with the sugar.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
You know...
Bliss said one day, casually flipping her pen between her fingers.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
For someone who hates people, you stare at me a lot.
Grace stilled.
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
You talk too much.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
You write too much.
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
I don’t write— *got interrupted*
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Lies. *the one who interrupted*
Bliss snatched her notebook.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
You scribble when you’re flustered. I’m your chaos muse, admit it.
Grace snatched it back.
But her ears—absolutely red.
.
.
Later that night, Grace sat on her bed, the coffee sticker still in her pocket.
She opened a small, beat-up journal she never let anyone see.
And wrote:
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
"Her fingers were stained with caramel syrup today. She said my name like it tasted good. She’s going to ruin me, isn’t she?"
Grace Fernandez was falling in love.
And Bliss D'Souza had no idea she’d already been chosen.

Let's start with the story 😌😌
.
.
.
.
The library was never quiet when Bliss was around.
Sure, she whispered. But she whispered with excitement, with drama, with too much movement and too many pen taps. Like she thought every rule was a challenge and every silence was made for her voice to fill.
Grace Fernandez had never shared a study table with anyone before. Now? Bliss practically claimed it.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Ethics midterm tomorrow.
Bliss groaned, sliding into the chair across from Grace and dropping her book with a thud.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Ready to get morally wrecked?
Grace raised an eyebrow.
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
You studied last night.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Yeah, but not for ethics. I deep-dived the psychological profiles of serial killers instead. You know… light reading.
Grace stared. Bliss winked.
.
.
They studied in sync, kind of.
Grace took clean notes with neatly underlined headers. Bliss doodled suns in the margins and wrote things like “Justice is hot???” beside Plato’s theories.
They bumped knees under the table once. Grace pretended not to notice.
They did it again. Bliss didn’t move away.
Grace's pen stuttered mid-sentence.
.
.
Later, Bliss leaned forward—too close—to peer at Grace’s notes.
Her breath hit Grace’s cheek. Her perfume was soft. Citrus and vanilla. Dangerous.
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
*gulp*
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Your handwriting is so clean.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Bet you practiced signing your name like twenty times.
Grace didn’t respond. Her fingers were clenched on her pen. Bliss smiled slowly.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
You know what would be fun?
She asked, pulling out her phone.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Let’s take a break. Personality quiz time.
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
No.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
C’mon. You look like your brain is overheating. Live a little.
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
I don’t need a quiz to tell me who I am.
Bliss grinned like a devil.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
But maybe I need one to figure you out.
.
.
Fifteen minutes later, Grace found herself on the receiving end of a quiz titled “What Kind of Soft Are You?”
She clicked through the questions grimly.
At the end, Bliss gasped dramatically.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
It says you’re ‘tragic soft’—you fall in love slowly, silently, and never confess. You die with the secret.
Grace blinked. Bliss leaned closer. Their faces are inches apart now.
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
Is that true?
Bliss D
Bliss D'Souza/clg student
*whispered* Are you hiding a secret, Grace?
Grace’s heart slammed. But she stared back, eyes sharp.
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Are you?
Bliss looked startled. For once, she didn’t have a comeback.
.
.
Later that night, Grace opened her journal again.
And wrote:
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
"She leans in like she knows she’s setting me on fire."
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
"She touches me like it’s a joke. But it’s not funny anymore."
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
Grace Fernandez/ clg student
*I think she’ll break me, Bliss D'Souza. And I think I’ll let her."
There were only textbooks between them now.
But the distance felt thinner than skin.
