I went to pick up my friend Sahid for lunch who spends his whole time in music and his band. Sahid forgets the whole world when he sings. He is the guitarist and lead singer of his band. I like to listen to music, but I'm not as talented as him.

I and Sahid not only friends but also roommate, colleagues. I met him 2 years back in my previous company. Later we both switched to X IT company in Bangalore, India.

He wants to get into X company because they have the best infrastructure and support extra curricular activities such as music, sports, dance….

I usually called him through the phone for lunch. He was not picking up my call. I checked his Cubicle*. He was not there either. I know if he is not in the cubicle definitely he will be with a music band (Cubicle is a separate place for employees to work).

I opened the door of this music room, I heard a pleasant violin music which I had never heard before and a group of people surrounded by that person.

I went through a bunch of people and found a girl wearing a midi skirt ponytailed her hair, holding the violin with the left side of the jaw resting on the chinrest of the violin, and supported by the left shoulder. Her fingertips produce different pitches by stopping and pressing the string against the fingerboard. Her right hand draws the bow over the string by moving forth and back.

She bewitched me by playing violin. I was looking at her without the blink of my eyes. She closes and opens her eyes and moves her entire body like dancing according to rhythms of the music.

People around me clapped their hands after she finished playing. I came to my senses after I heard the clapping sound of people around me. She said "Thank you" to the audience and went over to my friend Sahid. She said with a great smile "How was it ?"

Sahid said with the clap "You are osum there. By the way what was the song you were playing? Is the music created by you?"

She raked her fingers through her hair and replied "Violin music from hello movie"

I went beside the girl and called Sahid. "Dude, it's lunch time". She turned to me. When I saw her close enough she was not only talented in music but also very beautiful.

Sahid introduced her to me "Hey, this is Aarohi from Tamil Nadu and he is" She looked at me with surprise by lifting her eyebrows and widening her eyes and her face reddened. Is she blushing? before he started introducing me. She said slowly with stammering "Piyu... Piyush Mittal"

How did she know my name? Did Sahid tell her about me? Why did he say anything about me? I asked her with confusion " Do I know you?"

Aarohi replied "Maybe but I know you"

Did she mean I have seen her before but not remember her. I said "I am sorry I don't..."

She interrupted and said "You are my super senior in my college."

Super senior which means she is my Junior. How did I don't remember her in college? I asked her "Did you studied in KSR college?"

She replied "Yes Bachelor of Technology in KSR, 2015 passed out"

I raked my fingers through my hair and said "Still I don't remember you"

She said with the smile "No problem, We can get to know each other now"

I asked her " So, you are new here".

She replied "Yep, Last week I joined this Company. What about you? You have been working here for so long?".

I replied "Not really, It's been a year I am working here." Sahid interrupted us "Piyush, it's lunch time"

Aarohi waved her hand and said "Piyush I see you later, bye Sahid" and left from music room

Side story of Aarohi:

Oh my god I blushed when I saw Piyush. My heart started beating so fast. I am out of breath. Still I have the same feeling as 4 years ago. I feel it's a dream to see him again. At Least I can stay by his side. Will he be able to understand my feelings for him one day?

At the Food Court, I got North Indian thali for lunch. When I and Sahid were searching for a place to sit. I found Aarohi sitting alone with her food holding her phone in her ear. 

When I went over to her. She hang the call and look over us and said "Hey, you"

Sahid asked "Do you mind if we sit here?"

She replied "Not at all"

I asked "Where are your friends?"

"I don't have one. But not anymore" she said

Sahid asked her "not anymore"

She said looking at me "I thought we are friends Piyush, you even accept my friend request on Facebook."

I pointed the finger at me and asked "Did I?" She nods her head.

I took my phone check for her name in Facebook friends list and found her name with her photo in the profile pictures. When did I accept her friend request? Maybe I have accepted her friend because she is from my college or we have few mutual friends. Holding the spoon upside down in her mouth and Aarohi asked with a curious look "Did you find it?"

I replied "Yes, I didn't know that we were friends in Facebook"

She said "Now you know"

I asked her "You have been practicing violin for a long time? "

Aarohi asked me "Do you think so?"

I said "You were really good when you playing violin"

Aarohi kept her spoon aside on the plate. She held her finger up to her lips and said "Mmm.. To be exact, during second year of my college, I started practicing violin"

She called me "Piyush.." and paused looking at me blankly

I looked at her "Hmm". 

She suddenly said "Nothing I gotta go. I have a meeting at 2:30. I will see you tomorrow at lunch time Bybye" she waved her hands at us and left. I felt Aarohi was about to say something else when she called my name.

We both said "bye"

I looked at the Sahid plate and asked "Sahid did you finish eating so soon"

Sahid replied "Wow you remember I am sitting next to you"

I said "What are you saying? How can I forget you being next to me?"

Sahid said "After you saw that girl, not only you forget me you forget to eat lunch too."  

I said "I will finish it soon" and started eating so fast 

Sahid asked me "So, Do you remember seeing her in college days?"

I replied "I felt like I have seen her before. But not quite sure where and when"

Sahid said "She seems to like you."

I asked him "Why is she gonna like me?"

Sahid said "The way she looks at you, the way she talks to you"

I was joking with him by praising me "Maybe. You know I was a prince charming in my college days. I got so many proposals. See even she gave me friend request on facebook during those days."

Sahid mocked me "Yes and you are playboy didn't even know you are already friends in facebook and in future she will become your girlfriend too"

I was drinking water at that time When he said girlfriend I started coughed and said "You know me I am not interested in girlfriend"

Sahid chuckled and said "Okay I am just kidding why you became serious"

Sahid questioned me "Are you really not interested in her?"

I said "Let's go I have plenty of work"

"Seems you too like her" Sahid muttered to himself to make me hear it. I was not sure. I mean how can I decide things in one meeting. She is a good looking talented girl doesn't mean that I like her. To be honest, I admired her when she was playing violin.

Side story of Aarohi:

I gave a friend request to Piyush after he left the college. He didn't accept my friend request for a long time.

After 2 year, It was my training period in my company, I need to pass the exam to be a permanent employee of that company. I didn't perform well in the exam. I was a bit sad.

Suddenly I got notification from Facebook "Piyush mittal accepted your friend request" My sadness turned to happiness.

Same happiness I felt when he said "you were really good when you playing violin." It was worth learning for him.

When I called his name "Piyush.." I wanted to say "I was practicing violin because of you, because you like to listen to music" After I saw the post of yours listening to music on Facebook. Piyush I wanted to be recognised by you. I wanted to express my emotions to you one day through violin.

I didn't see Aarohi for the next two days. Instead of calling my friend Sahid to the lunch. I went directly to his band. Hoping to meet her. Unfortunately I didn't find her. Sahid asked me "you seem to have lot free time to pick me up to lunch"

I replied "Yes I finished my work earlier"

My eyes are searching for her. Sahid asked me "Are you missing someone?"

I came to my senses and stopped looking for her and said "What rubbish are you talking about? Who misses her?"

Sahid mocked me again "You seem to be missing her. I didn't tell he or she"

I can't escape from Sahid "Okay where is she? I didn't find her past two days"

Sahid said "I am with you. How would it be possible for me to see her? When you can't?"

At the food court, We both grabbed some meals and sat in a chair and started eating. And she appeared again and sat next to me with her plate and Greeted "Hi Piyush Sahid"

I asked her "Where have you been for the past two days?"

Aarohi said "I was busy searching the house. It's been two weeks and I couldn't find a nice one. This Sunday I have to vacate from ECC. If you guys know any place could you suggest for me" Aarohi stays in ECC (Employees Care Center). Company provides temporary or emergency stay for employees in ECC.

We both said "Okay"

Sahid asked "We are planning to go to the movies this Friday. Do you wanna join us?"

Aarohi took a bite of her food and asked "What was the movie name?"

Sahid replied "Avengers End Game"

Aarohi said "I should come back to campus before 10. You people carry on. I will join you next time"

I asked Aarohi "Where is your Cubicle?"

Aarohi replied "Block C 2nd Floor and what about yours?"

Sahid replied "Block A 3rd floor and Piyush workplace is next to my Cubicle"

After lunch, I and Sahid walked to our block of our workplace. I asked Sahid "Your girlfriend stays alone in the flat. Ask her if it is okay for Aarohi to share her flat with her."

Sahid said "You really seems to be cared for her"

I replied "Think whatever you want. Call your girlfriend"

Sahid asked "Now? You are unbelievable"

Sahid called his girlfriend over the phone. He puts on speaker "Hello Latika, Piyush wants to know, Are you planning to share your flat with anyone?"

Latika replied "No why?"

Sahid started making fun of me again "Baby, you know Piyush had a thing for this girl. I already put the phone on speaker you can ask him directly"

Latika asked me "Really Piyush"

I replied "He is kidding. You don't believe him. She is my College mate nothing else"

Why I have to be worried about Whether Aarohi found a place to stay or not. It's none of my business. I don't even know her.

Latika replied "I understand. don't worry if she can share with me. I don't have any issues"

I said "Thanks Latika"

I beat Sahid and questioned "What did you say I had a thing for her?"

Sahid said "Look at you how you are happy. Moreover you want her to stay next to you that's why you asked Latika. Tell me one thing why you care for her so much"

I don't know why I cared about her so much. Only thing I am happy about is when I see her. I said "She is new here and we are her only friends"

Sahid said "Don't try to fool me. Call and tell her about the vacancy".

I said "I don't have her number" How did I not ask for her number?

Sahid mocked me "Good joke. I will call her"

I questioned him "When did you get her number?"

Sahid said "Did you forget she is in my band ofcourse I have everyone's number of my band"

Sahid called Aarohi over the phone and said "Hello Aarohi, There is one vacancy in my girlfriend's flat. You can come over this weekend to check the house""No problem"

I asked Sahid "What did she say?"

"She thanked me and she will coming over this weekend"

Side story of Aarohi:

I wasted my one week of time joining Sahid's Music band. How can I say I wasted? If not for Sahid I wouldn't have seen Piyush. Where am I going to find a place in 3 days? I didn't see Piyush for 2days. I am already missing him. I wish I could stay next to him. Why have I never thought of it? I should ask help from Piyush
