Twisted Desires - Taekook

Pretend

NovelToon
The bedroom was quiet.
Too quiet, save for the rhythmic ticking of the vintage wall clock and the soft rustle of cotton sheets shifting under touch.
Taehyung lay on his back, staring blankly at the ceiling

While Hana straddled his hips, her palms pressed against his bare chest.
The warm, amber-hued glow of the bedside lamp cast long shadows across their bodies.
She was beautiful in a classical sense, graceful, delicate, her long hair cascading over her shoulders as she moved.
Her moans were soft, controlled, like the kind you give when you know someone is listening.
Like she was playing a part.
Taehyung had memorized every sigh, every subtle shift of her hips, every place she liked to be touched.

And still—he felt nothing.
Not aroused. Not moved. Not alive.
His hands were on her waist, but not possessive. They just rested there. Obligatory.
Guiding her with the same rhythm they’d perfected over four years of marriage.
A routine as clean and practiced as brushing teeth.
She leaned down, kissed his jaw, nipped his ear.

Kim Hana - Tae's wife
You’re so quiet tonight
She whispered breathlessly.
Kim Hana - Tae
Kim Hana - Tae's wife
You okay?
Kim Taehyung
Kim Taehyung
Mhm
He murmured.
He wasn't. But he didn’t have the energy to pretend otherwise.
Her hand ran through his hair and he let her. She kissed his lips again and he kissed her back,
Opening his mouth just enough to let her tongue slide in. It was soft. It was practiced. It meant nothing.

When her pace quickened, when her breath caught and her walls clenched around him, he knew she was close.
She always got there faster than he did.
Probably because she was imagining something....Maybe she needed that to finish. Maybe he did too.
Taehyung closed his eyes and forced a groan as he held her hips tighter and moved his own.
Not because he wanted to. But because he knew it was expected.
She wanted to hear him come. She wanted to believe it mattered.
He didn’t even finish.
He just faked it. Groaned low. Shuddered once. Let his grip loosen.
She collapsed onto his chest, satisfied, eyes fluttering closed, a lazy smile on her lips.
Kim Hana - Tae
Kim Hana - Tae's wife
We should do that more often
She whispered.
Kim Taehyung
Kim Taehyung
hmmm
He hummed in response.

Desired man

She didn’t notice how quickly he pulled out.
How he grabbed a tissue and turned away. How he didn’t speak after.
She didn’t notice because she didn’t want to.
Hana was kind. Loving. Sweet.
And he was everything but present.
They lay there in silence, her head on his shoulder, her fingers tracing idle patterns on his chest.
He stared at the ceiling.
She whispered,
Kim Hana - Tae
Kim Hana - Tae's wife
I’ve been thinking... maybe we should see someone.
Kim Hana - Tae
Kim Hana - Tae's wife
A specialist. About the baby.
His heart clenched.
Not because he wanted a baby.
But because he didn’t know how to tell her he couldn’t even bring himself to want her.
He closed his eyes and muttered
Kim Taehyung
Kim Taehyung
Sure.
She kissed his shoulder and turned off the lamp. The room fell into darkness.
And Taehyung lay there, wide awake, wondering how many more times he could fake a life he didn’t choose.

Morning arrived too quickly, as it always did when sleep never came.
The sun filtered in through sheer white curtains, casting soft streaks of gold across the ivory bedroom walls.

Taehyung blinked at the ceiling,
Still in the same position as hours ago, while Hana shifted gently beside him, her face buried into his chest, legs tangled with his under the sheets.
She looked so peaceful when she slept. Innocent. Happy, even. And that made it worse.
He slid out from under her carefully, moving with the practiced finesse of a man who’d done this many times before
Escaping a warmth he could never return.
In the en-suite bathroom, he shut the door and leaned against it, exhaling hard as if his lungs had been holding it all night.
The mirror greeted him with brutal honesty: tousled hair, dark circles under dead eyes, lips kissed red but not from passion.
He ran the water.
His reflection didn’t blink.

With both hands, he gripped the sink and stared at the man in the glass.
A man who had everything, wealth, status, a beautiful wife, a home designed like a magazine cover.
A man who should be content.
NovelToon
Instead, he looked like a ghost.

Daily life

He turned on the tap and splashed cold water on his face.
It did nothing to cool the heat simmering behind his eyes.
By the time he emerged from the bathroom, Hana was awake, propped against the headboard with a sleepy smile.
Kim Hana - Tae
Kim Hana - Tae's wife
Good morning,
She murmured
Kim Taehyung
Kim Taehyung
Morning
He replied, pulling a shirt from the closet.
Kim Hana - Tae
Kim Hana - Tae's wife
Are you going in early again today?
Kim Taehyung
Kim Taehyung
Yeah. Big meeting.
She nodded and slipped out of bed, the silk of her nightgown catching the sunlight as she walked into the bathroom.
He heard the water running and then her humming. Light. Carefree.
His phone buzzed.
Text from his assistant:
📩 Presentation confirmed. 10:00 a.m. at the main boardroom.
He typed a quick reply and then sat on the edge of the bed.
He looked around the room, at the pale beige walls, the crisp white furniture,
The framed wedding photo on the dresser where they both smiled like people in love.
He remembered that day. Not because it was the happiest of his life,
But because it felt like the start of a performance. One he hadn’t stopped acting in since.
Hana returned, towel-drying her hair, and leaned down to kiss his cheek.
Kim Hana - Tae
Kim Hana - Tae's wife
I’ll be home late. Night shift. You’ll be okay for dinner alone?
He nodded.
She smiled and walked out, humming again.
And he was alone. Again.

Introduction of main characters
NovelToon
KIM TAEHYUNG 30. Married. Business Tycoon. Closeted Gay.
He wore his suits like armor, sharp, tailored, suffocating. Every morning, Kim Taehyung walked out of his penthouse like a man the world was told to envy: CEO of a multinational design firm, husband to a beautiful doctor, face of elegance and discipline.
People admired his poise. They mistook silence for mystery. They called him composed.
They didn’t see the cracks.
They didn’t see him staring too long at the male models during campaign shoots.
Or the way his hands trembled each time Hana tried to initiate intimacy.
They didn’t hear the sound of his soul caving in every time someone said, “You’re so lucky to have a wife like her.”
Taehyung wasn’t just gay, he was drowning in it. Every night, he lay beside Hana like a stranger in his own bed, hoping he’d stop feeling anything. But the ache never left.
He was loyal. He was good. But he was also one mistake away from burning everything down.

NovelToon
HANA KIM 28. Doctor. Taehyung’s Wife. Straight. Secretly Unfaithful.
Hana was the kind of woman people wrote poems about, soft-spoken, gentle, radiant.
A doctor with a perfect bedside manner and an even more perfect marriage, she was loved by all. At least, that’s how it seemed.
She adored Taehyung. She really did. But love without touch turned into loneliness. Years of sleeping beside a man who never looked at her with hunger left her quietly aching.
She never asked him to be something he wasn’t but she also never asked herself what she needed… until someone else offered it.
Enter Dr. Min Jaesun, her colleague. Charming, respectful, just a little too close. It started with coffee. It turned into fingers brushing over lab coats.
Then, a night after drinks. Just once, she told herself. But once became whenever she needed to remember what it felt like to be desired.
She didn’t hate Taehyung for being distant. But she couldn’t keep waiting to feel like a woman again.
She was no villain. Just another person pretending everything was fine.
