Monday morning
Lily sat on the couch of the school guidance counselors office. She was talking to the counselor like she was every Monday morning.

Mrs. Sally stood up and headed for the counter of her office, to make them a cup of warm coffee.

Vee went into the bathroom and Lily waited outside.
Someone bumped into lily and all of Vee's belongings that were in her bag were on the floor.

just then Vee stepped out.

Thanks, so where were we?
She said as she took her bag from Lily.
Lily snapped back to reality and stuttered.

Uh-- yeah, she's okay.
Mrs. Sally
Alright, that's good.
Mrs. Sally

I think you should hurry along and find Vee before you both are marked late.

Lily went to the entrance of her school and saw Vee sitting on the brick wall, despite the rule against it, as usual.

She met Vee's teary eyes and took her arm back before covering it all up with her sleeve.

Vee clenched her hand into a fist and wanted to just fall a thousand feet.

Vee walked past her friend, and headed towards the opposite direction of their school and into a back alley.
But Vee was too far for her to hear it.
Vee's tears spilled onto the muddy and dirty floor of the back alley and she dropped to her knees.

She rubbed her eyes and stood back up.

what the hell are you doing here?

Vee took a cigar out of her pocket and held her hand out to Grey.

Just then before their teacher dialed their parents no. on her phone Vee and Grey walked into class and sat in their seats.

The teacher gritted her teeth and ignored them.
The class felt as long as it always did.
didn't actually feel like it was only 50 minutes, for Vee and Grey it felt like an eternity.
Just before Lily, Vee, And Grey were about to walk out of classroom after Mrs. Williams very long class, Nurse Kate stopped the three of them.

they both stepped out of the doctor's office and Vee sat down beside Lily.

The three came out of the clinic and saw that it was almost sunset.
